We contacted Fred for an estimate and he was quick to respond to schedule an appointment. After reviewing our long list of electrical projects, he provided a written estimate for most and advised he would need further review to establish a good estimate for some of the other jobs. We then chose our most urgent projects and scheduled the work, at which time he would be able to do the necessary review of our situation to get firm estimates of the other projects. The majority of all this communication was conveniently handled by email. He was able to do the work within a couple of days of our deciding to go forward. He finished this group of jobs in one day. The heater installation looks great and works just as we had hoped. And the amount of drywall cutting to access the house wiring was kept to an absolute minimum. The access hole was repaired and given an initial mud coat for finishing. It is almost unnoticable as is and will disappear when we sand and paint the spot (also, he kept that hole in the closet so is not really visible anyway.) Even with a crowded circuit box, he was able to add the heater on a separate circuit for safety as he recomended. The other istallations went just as well and the final results of this day's work are just what we wanted. Fred did the work quietly and efficiently. Everything was done just as he had detailed to us both verbally and in writing with the estimate. He emailed the invoice the next day (as we requested) and did not exceed his estimates. We felt his prices to be very fair for the work he provided. Within a week, we scheduled him to come again to complete a few other items on our list of projects. We are VERY happy with the completed work and his professionalism. And, we had some great conversations with him after the work was completed and he was heading out. Great work and a great guy. An overall enjoyable experience as we got the work we wanted and made a friend to boot!

Great!! Fred's work is excellent. He is honest, works hard, and is dependable. We used him twice and were impressed with his technical expertise and how thorough he is with everything he does. He answered all our questions and made appropriate suggestions. We would have him back on our home without reservation.

If you live in the Winston-Salem area and your lights start acting up, this is the person to call hands down. Fred came into our home and in detail told us what he was going to look at and what he thought the problems might be. After checking the lights he told us in detail what needed to be done and how he could fix it. Did anyone know that the fans in the bathrooms have filters? We didn't, but we do now and know that we have to clean them. He did have another appointment to get to, but he went to the store got the parts we needed then returned later and finished the job. We can not say enough good things about Fred. He is professional, kind and very aware of his customers and what they need. He takes the takes the time to explain and show you what he is doing. He is a rare person in this day an age. I hope those who read this use him, you will be so happy you did.

It went very well. Owner came when he said he would, is courteous and knowledgeable, and is willing to explain and give alternatives, all to code. We changed part of the original order on the day he came, and he came back additional hours the next day to complete the last of the entire job. He communicates well by email--an added bonus, considering how little most vendors in this area are willing to use email. His emailed, pdf'd invoice included a breakdown with each job listed by date, name, and cost; and he included a note at the end that summarized an unusual situation he had told me about. I would certainly hire him again.

I can't recommend Fred enough. I have used numerous electricians during our many house renovations and Fred is the best. He is professional, knowledgeable about old houses and their quirks and has a great sense of humor. (a possum skull fell out of a hole he had to drill in our attic ceiling) His prices are very fair and he will do things the way they should be done. Look no further for an excellent electrician!

Fred rearranged his schedule to accommodate our last-minute need for an electrical inspection. He arrived on-time and did a thorough inspection of the home's electrical system. His inspection and the following report were very thorough and he took the time to show me what he saw and explain what was good about the system, what needed to be changed and why. Fred was very courteous and professional and I highly recommend getting in touch with him if you are in need of an electrician.

He totally knew his stuff and his prices were a little lower. He was utterly professional. I had a good handyman come out to do the job and he was totally baffled and couldn't do the job. I could not be happier with the results. I have an older home that presented a number of challenges due in part to the unusual construction of the house and in part to the house being in a location with rather poor wireless reception. E-Wire took the time to really listen to what my needs were and to design and install a great security system that met those needs. E-Wire is very expert and professional and yet they have a small-town touch and an attention to detail that is so rare in service industries these days. I have rarely had any problems with the system, but when I did e-Wire was very responsive and went the extra mile to get the problem fixed quickly. I also have consulted with e-Wire regarding several electrical improvements I am considering, including the installation of an audio-visual-internet network. E-Wire has been very helpful and knowledgeable in that area as well.

Came abput a week ahead to see scope of job. Came one day ahead to install and run line to point of use (not active) Came in middle of work being done by tub installers to place outlet in correct place. On this vist, he noticed the loose wires in the electrical panel.

He is very good. He is professional and prompt. He did the work quickly. He advised us of any dangerous situations. We got the impression he was very knowledgeable and his prices were good.
