Rick and his crew did an amazing job and Rick is just a pleasure to work with. Nice guy and very knowledgeable. Came back after the job was done and planted more flowers as he said he would. Also offered to swap out a plant that I wasn't crazy about (There was nothing wrong with the plant. I just didn't like the flower - a personal opinion.) Would hire Rick and his people again without any hesitation.

Rick and his crew at Carolina Creations Landscaping were the definition of friendly and professional. We could tell by the first meeting with the owner Rick that he was passionate about designing landscape to compliment our house and maximize the look of our outdoor space. Even more wonderful was that he tweaked his initial design to make the space look even better then his initial layout. As we worked with Rick, he made many suggestions about what shrubs and flowers would be the best looking but would require the least maintenance. He was also conscience of our budget and suggested ways to keep within our budget but leave us with an outdoor space we could love. My husband and I are so happy with the finished product and now have the nicest yard in the neighborhood. This is also evident by the number of neighbors that came over to get Rick's contact information. I would recommend Carolina Creations Landscaping to anyone whether your job is big or small. You will not be disappointed with the customer service, the consultation, the time the crew is on your property or the finished product.

He has been very informative, and has been a pleasure to work with. We are impressed with the quality of work done by Rick and his team, and plan to use his services in the future. Rick and his team did an absolutely fantastic job. We hired him for a complete landscaping overhaul of our front and backyard and couldn't be more happy with the results. His level of professionalism and attention to detail was amazing. He initially conducted a survey and laid out in great detail the best course of action for our property. There were no surprises in the costs or timing of the job. He took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do and often times went above and beyond the stated contract. He was forthright and honest about all the materials and labor involved and never tried to upsell. He stands by his work and takes pride in what he does and this is evident in his workmanship. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend him.

This is my third time working with Carolina Creations- and have already scheduled my 4th. Ricky and the the folks that work for him are professional and hard working. They first did work for us in Fall 2014 when me moved into a new home where the yard needed a major clean-up, in the spring-did a clean-up and mulching, mid summer clean up and have scheduled a fall clean-up as well. What I admire about Ricky is his knowledge about the plants, tree and shrubbery - he offers expert advice - not just a yes'man. Other services will come in and just hack away at whatever you ask - but Ricky will talk to you about what is best for the plant - how much to cut and when, he is thinking about the long-term, which I greatly appreciate.

Rick promptly came out to do an estimate for the work. The estimate was delivered within a week of the visit. After we agreed to the price/services, it was difficult to communicate with him. My husband would have to call and leave voicemails because emails were not responded to promptly. After leaving a voicemail, it would still take 2-3 days before hearing back. The estimate visit was on May 4th, and the trees were not planted until June 15th. This would not have been an issue if he would have communicated with us about his schedule and proposed time table. Rick was on vacation the week of our tree planting, so he came the Friday before with an employee to stake flags for each tree and review the plan. When planting the trees, the employee accidentally cut our internet service line. Rick (who was on vacation) called my husband at work to let him know about the accident and offered to pay if the internet company charged a fee to fix the line. The trees were what we were looking for at a very fair price. I just wish his communication between the estimate and planting was improved.

Working with Carolina Creations Landscaping was such a great experience. Rick was easy to work with, had great ideas and his crew worked very hard to get the job done. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend his company to anyone!

Rick and his guys were GREAT, they really take pride in the work they do. Our yard was an embarrassment for us and the neighborhood. We had weeds and weeds and weeds! No defined line around the "flowers" bed more like weed beds. Last years ice storm took a toll on our yard as well as the large oak tree that dropped zillows of acorns last fall. Well our heroes charged in and took care of it all. They removed/sprayed all the weeds, edged around the beds put down this great mulch, took out "bad" plants and replaced them with gorgeous new ones. Rick has a great eye and knowledge of plants, placement and care. They build a retaining wall around the driveway and the front beds that was outstanding, perfect milted joints done by a perfectionist! Rick and his guys were a joy to work with, they are very professional. We will be calling on them again this fall to get the lawn in tip top shaped and bulbs planted for next spring.

I have been using them for probably a year. I am very happy with them. He does what he says he is going to do weather permitting. I am just pleased with them and my neighbour is using them now also. They have always been polite and they are super nice.

He was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately my situation isn't fixable without a great deal of expense. There is no where to direct the runoff water, without giving my neighbors the same problem I have. He was so honest and returned part of my money. He spent his time checking out the situation, and it is not his fault that our contractor didn't do a good job of grading the sites. I will definitely call him for any future landscaping needs.

I did end up contracting with Rick for the landscaping job. His design was beautiful and the execution was flawless. He and his crew came in and removed all of the old bushes, re-grated the beds, amended the soil, treated the new areas and edged the entire new design in one day. They hauled off all of the debris and left the yard and walkway looking better than it did before they got here. The next day they showed up on a miserably cold and windy day to finish the job. I think that most people would have taken the day off....but not them. All of the recommended plants, and one tree, were put in along with 3 areas of annuals for a burst of color. He picked a very fine, brown mulch that would go with the house AND the roof. A few of the plants have to wait until spring to be planted, so he'll be coming back then. After completing the beds, he suggested that a few more specific plants would look really good in the design and I agreed. He is actually including these in the initial estimate...no additional charge! There was also an area the needed a small retaining wall that couldn't be detected until all of the bushes were removed. He took care of this, AGAIN at NO additional charge. He and his crew went way beyond expectations on this job. The results are beautiful and several neighbors have stopped by to admire the change. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing this type of service!

If you live in a subdivision, it seems all the yards are alike -- the same plantings provided by the builder in every yard. I wanted to give my yard a little pizzazz, so I came to Angie's List and found Carolina Creations Landscaping. I chose CCL because of the owner's degree in horticulture, which I felt would be helpful for me since I know nothing about plants and do NOT have a green thumb. I met with Ricky twice to talk about what I wanted, which had to be a nightmare for him since I didn't have anything specific in mind, only a general idea, and he patiently answered all my questions. I told him things like "I want to replace this grass with some color and flowers", "I want a shade tree in the backyard and hummingbirds and butterflies," and on those vague guidelines, he was able to come up with a design I loved, using plants that weren't necessarily the old standards. For instance, he included a couple of azaleas in the back bed (what I would call a common landscaping choice), yet the variety he chose will bloom 4 times a year, giving me lots more color and flowers than I expected from this plant. He even thought about fragrances -- he's coming back in the spring (at no extra cost) to put in gardenias on either side of the back patio, so when I sit and enjoy the colors and textures of my new back yard, I'll also enjoy the smell. Over the next year, I look forward to seeing how my yard will come to life! There was quite a lot of material and work involved with this project, and I felt I got a fair price. I was very pleased with Ricky and his crew; each day they left everything as neat as possible and finished the work in a timely manner. Ricky himself is down to earth and accessible, and I felt comfortable calling him when I had a question. I will not hesitate to use Carolina Creations again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rick and his team worked hard while they were here and I would hire them again and most likely will.

Did a great job. The beds looked great. Ricky spread a lot of mulch (rather than just a thin layer) and weeded before he put the mulch down. I would recommend him -- and would use him again.

We were very pleased with the price and service provided. It wasn't a complicated project (just supply and spreading mulch in our existing planter beds), but the entire process was handled professionally. We will give this company an opportunity to look at any future landscaping needs we may have in the future.

They did a great job cleaning out area around our pool and re-landscaping. They were very helpful in advising us on the best options and then delivered a great looking solution. They were very professional, responsive and friendly. I will be using them for all future landscaping needs.

We havn't decided whether to use the provider. We will probably contact other providers for more estimates.

Everything went very smooth. Quite impressed with Ricky and his knowledge of plants and landscape design. He has a passion for what he does and it shows in the quality of his work. I would definitely use Carolina Creations again and would highly recommend them to a friend!

Beautiful design work, utilizing a variety of textures , shapes and colors based on Rick's extensive horticultural knowledge and tailored to meet our preferences. All plantings had to meet his precise sunlight and location requirements. The new shrubs as well as the transplanted ones were carefully selected and top quality. Very prompt and dependable. Responded to communications from us in a very timely manner. Rick's hardworking and mannerly crew reflects his "only the best will do" standards. His passion for what he does made this a great experience from beginning to end and it is a pleasure to look out at our beautiful yard now. Gave specific instructions on how to care for everything. Very reasonable pricing allowed us to do more than we had originally thought possible and we have already made plans to continue working with Carolina Creations on other projects.

My husband and I talked with Mr. McIntyre by phone about the job. He came out on Monday and looked everything over and showed what he had in mind for the beds in the front yard. He was so nice to work with and had some good ideas! We all agreed on everything and he came out on Wednesday to spray for the beds. He returned on Thursday and completed the work. The yard looks so nice and we will definitely be using him again. He was so prompt and did everything that he said he would do. Rick did a little extra for us, he moved my mailbox closer to the road, seeded and put down some straw as the mailman was tearing up the yard.

Entire project took only one afternoon. Rick also provided Several suggestions on types of trees and best ongoing care.

It looks wonderful. It is set up with colors that are perfect together. With it looking so wonderful now when nothing is blooming, I can't wait to see how it looks in the spring. The plants are nice sizes and placement is great. We have white rock in that area and it is hard to plant things in the white rock without getting it all dirty with the red dirt, but the rock was clean when they were done.

Ricky was a pleasure to work with. He was fair, easy to communicate with, and eager to make sure the plants we chose worked for my needs and taste as well as location. He did exactly what he said he would do and when he said he would do it. His crew was polite and friendly. I was very happy with the process and the final outcome. I plan to use Carolina Creations agin in the spring.
