Description of Work: I engaged Bodenheimer Plumbing after discussing my needs with 3 firms. Mark Schultz came out to assess my needs and give suggestions as to the best approach. He quickly followed up with a detailed quote via email. After a couple of minor modifications I gave the go ahead for work to begin on January 28. They were hired to do two repairs: Replace the main water line from the meter to the crawl space, and Replace the aging water heater. These were quoted separately. Costs were reasonable for the work. Water Line: This involved cutting through the concrete driveway, attaching a new 3/4" copper pipe and sleeve to the side of the drive, trenching (through lots of rock) to run the new line beside the drive, around the corner of the house and through the foundation into the crawlspace to tie into the existing line. About 100 feet of copper pipe was used. They also installed an expansion tank, pressure requlator, and new main cutoff valve. After the installation the met with the City of Greensbor inspector and obtained the approval. After approval, the trench was filled in, seed was sown, and the concrete was patched. Care was taken throughout the repair to make sure work areas were protected with Caution Tape. The work crew (Jay and Cody) couldn't have been more courteous and professional. I had expected the worst in terms of inconvenience and having to do without wate for long periods of time. My concerns were unfounded. There were only 3 very brief times to do without water, and each time the crew alerted me that water was being turned off. Cost of this portion was $2545, Hot Water Heater Replacement: I elected to replace the hot water heater (18 years old) while the plumber was on site although the current one was not giving problems (but it was time!). The new heater had to be done according to current code, so several modifications to the installation area were required. We installed a 50 gallon low-boy heater in the crawl space at the rear of the house. A pan was added, and the drain line had to be run to the outside of the house. It included a separate cutoff valve. Jay and Cody did this work along with the waterline installation. They made two adjustment to the pressure and water temperature at our request.. The cost of this portion was $1037.

Description of Work: We recently purchased a home and found we needed the services of a plumber. We needed faucets in two of the bathrooms changed, as the hot and cold spigots were reversed. We had the kitchen faucet replaced with an updated faucet. One toilet was leaking, and an outside faucet had been mounted incorrectly. All were minor repairs, but we wanted the repairs done correctly, by a professional.

Description of Work: I needed two old set of shower fixtures exchanged for something new and more fashionable. I order the new fixtures from an online source. One set went in easily, but the diverter was faulty with the other and required that I contact the manufacturer. The plumber told me exactly what to ask for and made the problem easy to correct.

Description of Work: I noticed a section of wet carpet in the guest bedroom. I called Bodenheimer Plumbing and they responded right away. It was determined that there was a water leak somewhere in my condo. A leak detection company was called by the plumber and the leak was found and fixed the same day. Both companies were personable and efficient. I could not ask for a better outcome. I feared the worse and it turned out not to be as bad as I had originally thought.

Description of Work: They replaced an oil fired boiler with an efficient gas boiler in a house built in 1949. There were many changes that had to be made in the copper piping and it was done neatly and professionally.

Description of Work: The plumber replaced a fill valve on the master bath toilet. He checked the toilet in the second bathroom. He checked the outside faucets. He told me where the water level should be in the toilet tanks. He checked the water meter several times. I had an unusually large water bill. He explained in detail how losing what seems like a small amount of water to a layperson can run the water bill very high. He made sure there was no underground leak.

Description of Work: I called three plumbers from the list provided by Angie's List. Of the three, I spoke with two people in the office who could discuss services and prices. I selected Bodenheimer's because the labor rates were almost the same and Bodenheimer could have someone onsite in about two hours from the time of the call.The service tech did a very professional job of diagnosing the problem. He confirmed the leak was in the line above the meter which was the diagnosis of the city water department inspector. To fix the problem, we would have to locate the underground leak using another company for leak detection and then have the leak repaired. Or, we could apply that money to having the entire water line replaced. It was 30 years old (blue max) and certain to fail again. We talked about replacing the entire line and called the office to get a quote. They responded quickly and after discussing the costs, we decided to move forward with replacement of the line. Bodenheimer Plumging arranged for the inspection approvals and did this for a flat contract price. The service call costs were included in the flat contract price and were not billed separately. They were very business like in their approach and worked with us to make the project a success. We are very pleased with the work they have done for us. We highly recommend them to anyone else in need of a professional plumbing company.

Description of Work: Bodenheimer Plumbing gave me a quote for plumbing work I needed to have completed. The work that they did was less than what we thought needed to be done, but they still charged us for the quoted amount.

Description of Work: The technician came out and looked at the sewer lines under the house as well as the sewer lines in the street. He went under the house to look at the plumbing as well. He asked a few questions to determine what the problem was. Once he determined the problem, he ran the snake through the lines in the house and made sure that they ran out to the street to be sure everything was cleaned out. He also cleared a clogged drain in our bathroom sink that we had been dealing with for months. The technician was very professional and nice. I was very pleased with the price and work.

Description of Work: Ladies beware! Sold me an inefficient gas boiler for my hot water baseboard heating system. Installed room by room temperature control valve incorrectly causing the thermostat to burn out. Replaced the thermostat, but never checked WHY it failed. Took advantage of a recently bereaved elderly woman. Shame on them.

Description of Work: We had an emergency when our septic backed up into the shower tub. We had several lines in the house snaked and cleaned.

Description of Work: I was having an issue with the flushing. i knew probably my son threw something in there, which was not allowing the toilet to work properly. I called BODENHEIMER and i was able to have someone there the next day ( i had called around 4pm on Thursday, so there were not sending anyone out unless it was an emergency). Andrew was very nice and professional when he called to advise me he was on his way. It took less than 30 minutes. he was quick and fixed the problem. I also asked how much would it be to install a new detachable shower head i bought. it was reasonable, and he did that too. he had no attitude and was always respectful when he spoke. I am very pleased with his work, and even though it was something minor, i am happy I would call them again for any plumbing issues i have.

Description of Work: BOdenheimer's installed an instant gas water heater outside. Gas line had to be installed from the meter. They unhooked and removed the old rusty electric water heater and capped off wires and pipes. Good riddance! Because of some odd plumbing on item was forgotten and when I called same mechanic came right back.
