My husband and I bought a shower kit at Lowes to replace a 36” neo-angle shower we had removed. Upon receiving the kit we found it to be very flimsy and immediately returned it. As we are busy remodeling our home, we decided to find a plumber to install a new shower for us and we called Bodenheimer Plumbing Service, Inc. On September 16, Mr. Mark Schultz , of Bodenheimer Plumbing Services, came to the house to measure for the shower and told me he could get much better shower kits through his distributer than we could buy at Lowes. A few days later, he sent my husband an email with a picture of the shower he thought would work for us and quoted a fee of $1800. The picture he sent my husband included a shower base, walls and shower door. We thought that was a reasonable price because we knew the approximate cost of the different parts needed and were pleased we would have a professional plumber install the shower for us. We supplied the shower head and faucet. Approximately 10 days later, Mr. Mark Schultz sent 2 men to install the shower. As we had errands to do, we left the house and returned 3.5 hours later when they had completed the installation. To our surprise, when we entered the bathroom, there was no shower door installed! The first thing I said was, “Where is the shower door?” One of the workers stated that they do not install shower doors. I looked at my husband in shock (as he did to me) and we made some comments on how we had no idea this installation did not include a shower door. The workers looked embarrassed and called Mr. Mark Schultz who refused to speak with us on the phone and told his worker to tell us that he never included the shower door in our estimate and that we knew that. Well, to say the least, we were not happy. My husband attempted to contact Mr. Mark Schultz the following day and received a response a few days later when Mr. Mark Schultz told my husband that he spoke with me on September 16 about where we could buy a shower door at whatever place he says he told me. Personally, I do not remember this conversation and, in reality, it has no bearing – and, if this were true, I would have known his quote did not include a shower door. As I stated earlier, he sent my husband a picture of a complete shower kit, including the door, when he asked for my husband’s approval to order the parts. My husband replied that Mr. Mark Schultz sent him the email with a picture of a complete shower. Mr. Mark Schultz insisted he never told us the door was included. The following day, I decided to do a little research on the products Mr. Mark Schultz installed. I searched the manufacturer’s website and found the exact parts Mr. Mark Schultz installed and went to Lowes to see if I could order these and what the cost would be. The cost at Lowes, for only the base and walls – the parts Mr. Mark Schultz installed - would have been $633 retail – (not the prices Mr. Mark Schultz would have paid. Which would have been at least 20% less). Now, I have no problem with a business making a profit but, if we do our math, this is what Mr. Mark Schultz made (Please note, I add taxes in): $1800 – ($633 + 40.07) = $1166.26. Now, please also note that Mr. Mark Schultz had to buy one bag of cement to stabilize the base and a few parts to hook the drain up properly. So, let’s be generous and say he spent an additional $50 for these parts. That leaves a profit of $1116.26. If we then divide this number by the hours it took to install, we get $1116.26/3.5 = $318.93 per hour for 2 men. Now, perhaps, a Master Plumber can change this for HIS work… but two laborers! Also, keep in mind, I used retail prices. So, in fact, Mr. Mark Schultz would have made an additional 20% (at minimum) profit on the parts. With this information, my husband sent Mr. Mark Schultz an email with the above figures and just asked Mr. Mark Schultz how his pricing worked. No response. My husband called several times to get hold of Mr. Mark Schultz with no response. All calls and attempts to communicate with Mr. Mark Schultz were done with respect and without any anger. We just wanted answers! Then, about 4 weeks after the installation and no communication from Mr. Mark Schultz, Mr. Mark Schultz sent us a bill (which was more than the originally quoted price of $1800.00). At that point, we realized that Mr. Mark Schultz was not going to respond to us and we paid him the original quote of $1800.00 in full. I would also like to add, we installed the shower door ourselves. We ordered the door (from Lowes) from the same manufacturer Mr. Mark Schultz used. And, although this installation was not easy, we were successful! As stated before, I have no problem with a businessman making a profit. But our issues are as follows: Mr. Mark Schultz misrepresented the fact that he was going to buy and install a complete shower, when in fact, he only intended on installing the base and walls – no door. That Mr. Mark Schultz never responded to our concerns. That Mr. Mark Schultz stated that we could not have bought the parts ourselves (which Lowes will order for you). That Mr. Mark Schultz insisted that we knew there would be no shower door (well then, why did he send a picture of a shower with a shower door to my husband and why were we literally shocked when we arrived after the installation to find out there was no shower door?). Lastly, the hot and cold water were hooked up backwards on the shower and there was no caulk put in between the parts installed making the shower leak. We had to do this ourselves! A professional person would have responded to our concerns and discussed with us their pricing policy. Mr. Mark Schultz refused to do this and, in our experience, Mr. Mark Schultz lacks integrity and is unprofessional.

Our last water bill was 5 times the usual amount so I knew there was a leak and it was not in the house. Once the city checked our meter, we were told the water leak was on our property. Since we had a leak about 4 years ago, we decided we needed to replace the entire line. I called Bodenheimer on recommendation of the city worker and found that they had great reviews on Angies List. Andrew Brown responded within an hour when I called Bodenheimer on September 17. Andrew was very professional and worked up an estimate for us. The price seemed reasonable, so we contacted Bodenheimer to get started. They started and finished the job the next day in about 6 hours which included tunneling under a sidewalk and a front porch. They even installed a temporary water line for us while the work was going on! The next morning Friday the 19th, the city inspector came and gave approval to the work. Within 2 hours Andrew's crew closed up the trench and cleaned up everything. Andrew and his crew were very nice, thoughtful and professional through the whole process.

Responded within an hour of my calling, when other providers I called could not fit me in for 6 days!! Andrew arrived and completed the job professionally. Only charged me for time on the job, not for the 20 minutes he needed to source a part from a nearby store. This was a very good experience and i will definitely use Bodenheimer Plumbing again.

What an awesome company! Came out same day I called and quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Another company had come out about a month prior and had cleared the line for same problem but did not completely clear out the blockage so the problem came back even worse this time. :-( Andrew was very professional, knew his stuff and found the location where the and quot;wasteand quot; was blocking the pipe and got rid of it. Haven't had any further issues since then.

my wife and i just had a baby one week ago. while my folks were staying with us my father noticed a gas smell thought we had a leak. he was worried with the baby and all it might be damaging to his lungs not to mention the hazard of explosion / fire. i shutoff the pilot to the gas but wasn't sure if that was enough. called at 10am and was immediately connected to Mike. The plumber had to make two calls because he was called away on an emergency during the first visit. He was very friendly and talkative. The work seems to be holding up well in this rental home.

Dennis came out on Tuesday, I had been using a bucket and some plumbing putty to limp along the leaking Y connector over the holiday. Since the wall was already torn out and the plumbing exposed, his time here was shorter, he did have to go out for a parts kit once he diagnosed that that was the entire issue. In and out in under an hour.

Kevin came to the house was dispatched same day, fixed the issue and was done in under an hour. He gave me a chance to go to the hardware store and get a shop vac to begin clean up.

Appointment scheduled same day. Called prior to coming and showed up on time. Diagnosed immediately and fixed ASAP. Very nice and very good

All went well until a week later, one of the toilets was dripping water from tank. Called Bodenheimer and they came out to locate the problem within 24hrs. Was a cracked tank and they replaced the whole toilet. Very happy with service.

The faucets were no longer available to be replaced, so John rebuilt them to stop dripping. Very important as replacing them with something modern would have looked silly and would not have fit the bath tiles. He took a lot of care and did a great job. I had to wait a few weeks because the person at Bodenheimer's who specializes in old houses was busy with heating systems - obviously more important in winter than drippy faucets.

Got it done before company came for Christmas.

My leak was fixed in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately I do not remember the exact date or the exact amount charged.

I was afraid the drain from my clothes washer was broken because water was draining from behind the wall and then on to the laundry room floor. I was so relieved that it wasn't a burst drain pipe! Dennis clamped the two pieces together so that I doubt they will ever come apart. I thought the price was very fair. Dennis was very friendly, pleasant, and polite and a neat worker.

Prompt, very professional, thorough.

We had a clog in our kitchen drain. I tried all the home remedies I knew including removing and checking the P drain. Finally gave up and turned to Angies List for a plumber. This is the first time we had used Bodenheimer plumbing and we were very satisfied. They came within the hour even though it was near the end of their day. The clog turned out to be located quite far away in the pipes under the slab of our home. Within 45 minutes they had found the problem and taken care of it. The charge was 140.00, a little high, but we wanted same day service and it was at the end of their day after closing time. I see why they have received all A'S. Friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We plan on using them the next time a plumbing project comes up.

Our basement was flooded and I was home with a one year old by myself. Called their emergency line at 8:30 pm and no one had called me back by 8:30 the next morning. I called to complain to them and they were very polite.

I obtained a quotation from Bodenheimer after having contacted another contractor and obtained a price for this same work. Bodenheimer's quotation was much less than the other contractor. Their work was excellent and done in a very timely manner. I am pleased with the job they have done.

Repair of the shower pipe was done without having any further damage to the wall which would have made the repair more costly. The work was done quickly and satisfactorily.

Work went well but had to come back to fix leak that did not show up till later but did not charge for that.

It was a good experience. They were here early.

I had purchased the faucet with the intention of replacing myself. Should have been an easy job but the way it was originally installed would have required my buying a special tool to remove the old faucet. Dennis came and did the job in 20 minutes with no problem. He was very clean, courteous and professional.

We had JUST moved into our new house, and our home inspector found and quot;no issuesand quot; with our plumbing. When we moved in, we ran into several major plumbing issues. We were told by the county plumbing inspector that our plumbing was done and quot;illegallyand quot; and none of it was and quot;to codeand quot;. We got a crazy high estimate from another local plumber, but Bodenheimer came and did all the repairs for only $870.00! They did an excellent job, did all the work in 7 hours, and cleaned up all the mess! Bodenheimer came to give us an initial estimate within 24 hours of our phone call, and completed all the work within a few days. We are so grateful for Bodenheimer.

Called for service they were very prompt coming out the same day. Fixed the problem quickly with no issues.

Bodenheimer were prompt and professional from start to finish. Pricing was extremely reasonable. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs.
