He told me it was going to be $75, but he lowered the price after he realized there were things he didnt need to do. The appointment was for 7 but he called us before 7 to let us know he was running a little bit late. VERY Professional. Very friendly, and neat. Very careful with our property. He told us what he was required to tell us, and what he thought was safe. He also took the time to show us how to use our logs. Very pleasent and very informative.

Jay Westmoreland called when he was on the way. He was a young man who had more knowledge and experience than you might guess because he had inherited the family business. One of my fireplaces needed cleaning. The other was dirty also despite the fact that it had never been used. It turns out that in our area, a migrating bird called the chimney swift will take up residence in any uncapped and unused chimney. This is a protected migratory bird, so once the bird family is living with you, it will be there to stay. If you have a cat or a dog, your pet may loose its mind over this. They can be loud. I was afraid the family would come right back this spring unless I spent more than $ 400 on a chimney cap. According to Jay - not necessary. Simply use the fireplace that had not been used, and they will not return. Big savings for me. Jay is proud to own / use a shop vac with a hepa filter. This eliminated any concern about soot coming into my home as well as anything in the bird droppings that may be harmful. You will not regret hiring Jay.

Jay stopped by my house between jobs the afternoon I called for assistance. Even though I was not home at the time, he replaced the chimney cap. I appreciated his punctuality and his professionalism in our discussions.

Work was done very professionally; Jay arrived on time and explained clearly what he would do. We are very satisfied and will call again.

I called Jay for a chimney clean/inspection on a home we recently purchased. He was able to schedule me a week later, which I thought was great since I was calling in late Oct! He called about 30 mins before the appt to say he was running about 10-15 mins late. He called on his way to say he'd be about 5 minutes later than our appt time, which was impressive. Jay and his helper were very professional looking (even with newsboy caps on - they looked like British chimney sweeps!). They were polite, clean/neat, and friendly. We were definitely impressed and would have no hesitation recommending them or their services again.

Jay Westmoreland was very prompt, cordial and professional. He was well organized and carried out his work very professionally. His duties were impressive. I have made another appointment for him to install chimney caps. I learned about his company through Angies List and could not be more satisfied with a job well done. All went very smoothly with Jay and a helper. I called for an appointment in about 10 days time, which was convenient for me. He had to reschedule it by a day, and called to let me know what was going on. That was no problem. Arrived on time, and they did the work quickly. As far as I know, they do a capable job or cleaning and looking for problems. He helped me to decide what type of chimney cap would be best. Came back in a couple of days as planned to put it on. Also screened an old obsolete flue as an extra service. They offer a discount for cash payment. Very pleasant and easy to work with. They left everything clean around the fireplace.

Everything went great. He even called to see if I was available earlier because he could come a little earlier to do the work. He didn't take long at all and did a great job. He was very professional and personable.

On initial visit, Jay estimated cost of work. I changed my mind about what I wanted done and he re-estimated. We scheduled the work and he completed it in approximately 3 hours.

On initial visit, we had asked Jay to inspect two flues at our home which serviced fireplaces on two different levels. Unfortunately due to the age of the house and chimney flues, they were not able to be used due to cracks which had occurred over the years. While doing this inspection, Jay advised us that moisture was able to enter our home thru the uncovered chimney, and that it would be best to have a cap installed on the chimney to prevent this. We had Jay install the cap a short time later. Previous to both visits, Jay let us know that he was on the way and when to expect him. After authorizing him to order the chimney cap and to install it, he again kept us posted as to when to expect him. There was a delay in the cap being delivered to him, and a subsequent weather delay which prevented Jay from installing the cap. Numerous times, Jay would call to advise us regarding the situation. We greatly appreciated this information and appreciated the fact that we didn't have to call him to find out what was happening. At all times, Jay presented himself in an extremely professional manner. Very refreshing to do business with someone of such high caliber.

Robert was punctual, very pleasant, knowledgeable, did a very good job, and cleaned up well. Will certainily call him again.

Everything you'd want from a service provider: Person who came was prompt, polite, helpful, clean, organized, efficient. He explained things clearly, presented all the options. There was no sales pitch or fast talking. Everything was very straightforward. I'd absolutely recommend this company to a friend or family member.
