Description of Work: Our A/C broke after having it pass the last maintenance. They did come out with a few days. Jimmy ( the owner) was knowledgeable and explained there was a leak in the system and needed over 4 lbs of the old freon-- costing $88/ pound. He recommend replacement of the entire unit. He only sells Rheem. I did the normal 3 bids and found a much better price. He wouldn't return my phone message afterwards. He did charge me $90 for a service call even though it really was a sales consultation.

Description of Work: Our A/C was serviced by them to qualify for the Progress Energy rebate. The technician came, set up his equipment, went back to his truck to smoke and make phone calls. After a while he came back to check it. Then he packed up equipment and handed me a bill. I proceeded to ask him about what he serviced and he kept evading my questions. He had to come back because his machine didn't work right, to get the reading. By this point my confidence was lost in the company. I had to call their office to follow up on them sending in the paperwork for me to get my rebate.

Description of Work: Chraged too much. Then said need to replace filters & belt for a cost of $380 which i did my self with a friend for less than $100.00.

+ -1 moreThey came out and gave us a quote. They did not call us back and bug us so we got a couple of other quotes. We got ready to do it so they gave us a date when they would come out. They were so polite and cleaned up after themselves and were out as quickly as they could be. While they were there they were friendly and unimposing. Their prices were lower than everybody else that quoted so we went back to them. They are really good and I have recommended them.
Description of Work: I used Wilmington Air/24Hour Heating & Air to install a new HVAC system in our house.
