carpet installation, ceramic tile
+ 0 moreThe installation went extremely well with a great group of guys led by Joe Cenname(910-297-9733) He also laid my back door tile that I wanted in conjunction with the carpet install. They removed my nasty old carpeting (!) and proceeded with the install. I couldn't ask for a more professional group that were nice and easy to be around. My carpet looks great and they showed me how to handle stains and such. I plan to use Joe again for further work on my wood floors.
Description of Work: We went to the store on Oleander and were shown many carpets, including some high end, expensive and beautiful pieces. We were looking for wall to wall carpeting for an area that would get a lot of traffic. The salesperson was very helpful and on our second trip there, he suggested we go to their warehouse and look through their pieces to see if we could find one we liked because it would be much less expensive than ordering one. To make a long story a bit shorter, we worked with Patricia, the owner, on. 3 occasions at their warehouse in Castle Hayne and she was amazingly helpful and patient as I changed my mind three times which carpet I wanted installed. She has a very large inventory to pick from. . She also has a huge amount of remnants for smaller areas or to make rugs. Patricia also has tiles, hardwoods, and all other floors you can want. My "do's would be is to know what you want and if you can be a little flexible you can find a good deal. Learn about carpeting ahead of time such as, nylon vs polyester and what kind of stain protection you want.

carpet installation
+ -1 moreThe carpet itself is high quality. The installation performance seems OK, though one seam is troublesome. But the professionalism of the installers and lack of response from the company was awful, in my opinion. I had to leave shortly before they finished, and they left things in disarray. They did not put furniture back appropriately, they knocked down a shelf in the closet and left it that way. They did not re-plug in electrical items they had unplugged BUT they moved heavy furniture in front of outlets. It took several hours to get things straight. After I called my contact to complain about the wreck they had created and left, the installers attempted to come to my home , unscheduled and unannounced. This added to the lack of professionalism and I found it of great concern. I don't know if the installer was an independent contractor or an employee, but I never heard from the company after I complained. I find that incredible. Very poor client relations. I would never use this business again.
Description of Work: New carpet in two large rooms. Pulled out the old carpet and disposed. Installed new carpet.
