the first agent we had, joe vawter , was at this for one full year and was unable to make any progress in spite of several offers in the beginning. he never showed the unit to my knowledge. his method of sale can be described as " sit,wait, do nothing.".his knowledge of how to do this was extremely limited in spite of behaving as if he knew what to do. if I didn't contact the bank, lawyers,buyers, etc. then literally nothing ever would have been done. my experience was so bad that I wanted to get another agency at the end of my contract. I went to the owner instead and asked for another agent to be assigned, which he said he would. he did not. joe vawter was, unknown to me, left as the listing agent and the listing on the MLS was never put back on for 3 months, I believe due to his being upset with me. the new agent never knew we had no listing for all that time, so it was never able to be shown. I finally did get a new agency and sold the property in july, 2013. this agency was so bad in so many ways, especially when the owner was as incompetent as the agent.
