It went great. I was living in Minnesota while our house was being built here in Brunswick County. We discovered our backyard slope was going to be more than we were comfortable with. Worked with Jonathan by phone from Minneapolis exchanging plot plans and wall diagrams by email. Finished product was as we agreed and the quality of work appears to have been excellent. We have received may compliments on our retaining wall and have given referrals for Southern Accents to others. Would hire again if more work were needed.

Work was done on short notice and quality was excellent. Original estimate was exceeded however. Since we were not in state and everything was done by phone and email, it's hard to know how much of the responsibility for the cost increase belongs to the vendor.

Mr Swilley is a professional and his crew is hard working. Phone calls were returned promptly, appointment were confirmed and he showed up on time. My garden looks wonderful, I got exactly what I asked for. Thank you.

The project was handled beautifully, accomplished a large 2 1/2 day project in less than ideal weather. The owner and his crew was attentive to every detail.

Jon responded precisely when scheduled which was within 24 hours of my call to him. He was very thorough in his assessment of the problems that my irrigation system had, installed the right devise (relay switch), replaced a defective sprinkler head along with adjusting all the heads of the system and adjusted all the timing of each zone so as to maximize the effectiveness while minimizing water usage. I might add that I felt that the service performed was above and beyond the level I was expecting for the price of the service.

Showed up promptly and did work as promised. Employees were very professional.

We couldn't be happier with Jonathan and his crew. Jonathan came out to provide a quote right away after being called. He emailed me a proposal that night detailing the work we discussed and I agreed to have him perform the services. He let me know he had about a 1 to 2 week lead time which was fine. But then the rain storm from h*** arrived and dumped rain for almost 2 weeks solid. Jonathan called me every few days to let me know his schedule and when he hoped to get to our project. I greatly appreciated the timely calls and updates. Once things dried out he got to us and arrived on schedule the morning agreed upon. He and his crew got right to work and finished in less time than originally expected. That night, Jonathan sent me a revised invoice with a lower price since the work took less time than estimated on the original quote. It's rare to have something come in less than originally quoted and shows great integrity and honesty and of course is very much appreciated.

Couldn't have asked for a better company to install this large amount of mulch. Professional!!! Experience was perfect and would certainly call again.... Great company!!!

We called multiple landscaping companies, and Southern Accents was the only one who responded in a timely, professional manner. Jonathan's estimate was right on the money, and he squeezed us in on his busy schedule. The lot looks fantastic! Dead trees were removed, brush was cleared and dead branches from trees were cut. They even managed to remove those nasty vines hanging from the trees. They also sprayed brush killer and cleared our driveway of pine needles before they left. The crew was so nice! We would absolutely use this company again!

We called Southern Accents to install pine bark mulch in our yard. Jonathan stopped by the same day at our house and gave us a reasonable estimate. He also stated he could start the job fairly soon, which we liked. He and his crew started early in the morning the next day. Jonathan is very knowledge about landscaping and directed his crew at every step. He also gave us some great design suggestions and also, on how to take care of the product. His crew worked hard and they were very respectful and clean. We were very pleased the outcome. We would definitely use the services of Southern Accents again in the future.

We called them for a small landscaping project. Responded quickly and provided a fair and accurate quote for the work. Jonathan Swilley and crew removed existing soil and mulch, replaced with good soil, salvaged and moved several plants, reinstalled existing drip irrigation and topped with mulch. They also cleaned up area and removed all debris. Excellent job! Very pleased with the results and would recommend them to anyone in need of a good landscaper.

The sod installation and construction of a decorative stone partition were performed in a timely manner with excellent results. The existing irrigation system was tuned and repaired. Jonathan left us with a clear and sustainable plan for keeping our yard healthy and attractive. We have received many compliments on the improvements and are very happy with the results. Jonathan provided a written estimate and during the actual installation, was very easy to work with, even with the last minute additional work scope changes I asked for during the job. The design was exactly what we were looking for. He made a rough schedule and adhered to each major event except for a slight delay due to very rainy weather (he advised us immediately of the potential delay and when he would make it up). Jonathan listened to us, so he got the requirements correct and the work was done right the first time. He left us a watering schedule, also when to do follow up fertilizing and mowing (including height of grass) He came back on his own to check progress and was not quite satisfied with a few pieces of sod and he promptly replaced at no additional cost. We were 100% satisfied with Jonathan and his team (they were courteous, professional, efficient and sensitive to the already establish parts of our lot. I would recommend Jonathan without reservation to anyone. Leave your headaches and doubts behind after you sign the contract with Southern Accents.

Jonathan and his crew arrived on time, did the work, cleaned up after themselves and were done on time. The work was a little less than estimated. Everything went smoothly and was done very well. We got instructions for caring for the new plantings and a care sheet for our lawn too.

Over the course of 5 years, I have had 3 landscapers visit my yard to discuss its drainage problem. I have a flat yard with a slight slope towards the street and a lot of clay underneath. My yard holds rainwater for days and feels like walking across a wet sponge. The other landscapers I called out to my house were never confident and offered little advice. I never even received an estimate or a follow up phone call. Jonathan responded quickly, immediately provided me with an estimate, and was ready to fit me into his schedule as soon as I let him know that I wanted to move forward. Jonathan knew that the cost of fixing the yard was high, so he discussed other options, but explained that the other options would not be a fix, just a band-aid. I opted for the expensive fix and Jonathan?s guys completed the work in two days. They did a great job and I am so pleased with the service Southern Accents Landscaping has provided me with. I am already seeing a difference in my yard and the rainwater is making it to the street! I look forward to less mosquitos this summer and being able to cut my grass after it rains.

The plants are beautiful and the work was expertly executed. All was accomplished in one day, the day before Thanksgiving. The yard looked beautiful despite the previous day of heavy work. Another great job for Jonathan.

We had to have some serious clean-up done to our father's lawn and landscaping after he passed away this year. There was a ton of overgrowth that hadn't been tended to. As we are from NY, it was difficult to find someone from the Wilmington area that we could trust. The quote was very reasonable, the work done when we were told it would be and the provided before and after pictures were very much appreciated.
