Phelps Irrigation & Landscaping

First, this was my third attempt to get some help. In the midst of summer heatwave my irrigation pump went out and my re-sodded yard was failing. The company I used to use (ranked #1 here btw) said they would "get back to me" about when they could come out. After two days they had not even attempted to call me and I when I called back I was told I was "next on the list" for scheduling but after that it would be approximately two weeks. I then called a neighbors recommendation that I had chatted with the year before and he confirmed that it was very busy but that he would try to work me in the next week. Then my landscaper recommended Phelps. I called him and could tell right away he was old school and honest. He scheduled a time to meet me the next day and was right on time. (I then cancelled the big company via their website and voicemail because I got no answer) and called back the neighbors recommendation to cancel also) Phelps took the time to try to repair the old pump before ordering a new one. The next day it was done. Funny to note that the big company did call me back a week later to schedule. I guess they were too busy scheduling to check their email or voicemail. I would highly recommend Phelps to anyone needing these services. It is rare that you find someone that says what they do and does what they say. He got a check on the spot. A week later i was watering the garden and the pump was catching. He came out on a Sunday (after Church!) and fixed the problem, (c-valve in the plumbing from the well-opening in yard was holding up, not related to new pump) Still haven't gotten a bill for that. Good man and a good number to have handy.

Mr Phelps repaired our irrigation system and replaced the control box with an updated version so that it worked again. This was in the summer, so all the irrigation companies are working double-time here in Wilmington. He came on a Saturday, which was fine for us. There are adjustments that I would like him to make to the system and my husband wants some sprinkler heads moved, so we will likely use him again in the near future.

The work was quickly and professionally performed, with suggestions an options on how best to make needed changes to the system.

I have a one half acre lot and use them once a week. They also have done some transplant work in our garden. The fees are reasonable and it is an outstanding service. I will use them again in the future and recommend them.
