When sanding the floor, Pfeifer damaged all the brass transition strips and all of them will have to be replaced. The quote included removing and replacing all the quarter-round trim so that the floor could be sanded right up to the walls. When we checked the job progress on the second day, we discovered that new finish was being applied but the trim had not been removed and no sanding had been done within five to six inches of the walls. We got on the phone to both Pfeifer and Superior Flooring. Pfeifer protested that removing the trim was not standard. We insisted that we get the work we were quoted. Pfeifer got a bit rude. Pfeifer agreed to meet us at the house the next morning to agree on the work to be done. We called our new job to say we'd be a little late. Pfeifer finally showed up at two in the afternoon. Pfeifer did replace the quarter-round trim. At some places it actually meets the floor. Other places, you can slide a standard piece of cardboard between the floor and trim. On some walls, the trim actually reaches to the doorway trim. Other places, it was cut too short. The floor finish for about a foot against each wall is rough and will need to be sanded. Overall, the new finish is so thin that we have scratched it down to bare wood with wheeled chairs. Additionally, the baseboards and even the walls are splashed with finish material which we have to sand off and paint over. We called Pfeifer to find out what product he used so we could fix the floors ourselves. He wouldn't answer our calls or return our voice messages. Finally, five months later, I tried calling and reached him. When I told him I was making this review, he didn't care.
