 + -1 moreWhen I got the quotes for the jobs we discussed, the details were all wrong. I had to go back to them twice to get the right quotes. This did not feel right to me, and I wondered if the job would actually be done correctly since they could not get the quote right to begin with. So, I decided to go with another plumber for the jobs. I guess this is a $129 lesson for me. I wish I would have been told about that cost before they actually got all the way to my home to do the quote. I felt like I had no choice but to pay it at that point. And, since I had another contractor waiting on me for his scheduled appointment that Mr. Rooter had interrupted, I was a bit rushed. Sorry this went this way, because I felt that they could have done a good job until these little details happened.
Description of Work: They came to the house when I had a meeting scheduled with another contractor, so I had to interrupt that meeting to get them started with the plumbing issues. I had called to get a few small jobs done, and to get quotes on others. It wasn't until they got there that they told me I had to pay for a quote, but that if I used them, it would be taken off of the cost of the job. I am also now on a "preferred customer" list because of this. I had to pay to get on that list. ???

 + 0 moreMark called and offered a new water heater on 2/24/2015. I called him back today and accepted. His technician was just here. I am not getting a new water heater because this one does produce hot water. It still putt-putts. It still takes way too long to get hot. I told the kid that was here I am sorry he wasted his time. I have had gas water heaters most of my life and the last 21 years in this house. Two years with this water heater--and I am still NOT happy. I cannot run a shower, washer and dishwasher with this one--I could my old one. Both are 40 gal water heaters. A tub has to be 1/4 full before hot water gets to my bathroom. So, in the end, I will still need to replace this water heater 2 years in and have added expense on top of the $1500 plus this one cost me. He told me if anything else goes wrong to call--I gently replied "Thanks, but no, I am done. I will replace this one and go on about my day. I have no problem letting people know I am not happy. I know how gas water heaters work and this is not it."
Description of Work: In all honesty I cannot recall how long ago they were actually here last. I do know that they replaced a gas water heater for me in October of 2012. Later they had to add an expansion bladder because my water was doing the putt-putt out of the faucet. A different plumber was here a few weeks ago, I asked him about the putt-putt of the water and he explained that the expansion bladder was bad. Now my hot water takes about 10 minutes to get to the bathroom--and is barely warm. My first water heater here lasted 18 years, and cost maybe $600 installed. I expected more out of a $1500 plus unit. Two years and it is shot already. It is hard to need to replace gas. Between my water heater, and the exorbitant cost to replace the flushing mechanism in my 2 toilets, I am done with them. I could have replaced the toilets 3x over for what I got charged to have them come fix the leak on two different occasions within a matter of weeks and now one of the two is at it again. I do have the membership thing with them-seemed to have saved me nothing really. They did fix a rodent leak in my hot water line free of charge for the cost I had in my toilet repairs. Still--that should not even have been an issue. Fair is fair.

 + 1 moreCame on-site, help me locate the drain clean-out which was buried and hidden by pine straw. He then used pressured water, 3200 psi, to blast the clogs out. Then verified the pipes were all clean with a line camera.
Description of Work: Mr. Rooter came immediately to handle my problem, a sewer backup. Found the main sewage drain clean-out, then used pressured water to blast out clogs. Complete job in less than 2 hours.

 + -1 moreCalled them based on reviews posted on Angies List. They called right away and I was told they would call me in morning after their meeting with a time when they could come out. They called about 10sh I guess and stated it would be between 1 and 3. They called service tech was running a little late. The service tech came out was professional. Service Tech looked at problem told me I had a Delta valve and it would cost $243.00 to fix. I told him ok after a few attempts of getting valve out he stated I needed a whole new valve at a cost of a little over $1100.00 dollars. I told him I could not do that so he called office and came back with a price of $689.00 with the $99.00 yearly advantage plan. I told him I would pay for him coming out but I wanted to check another plumber . I contacted another plumber who came out same afternoon looked at problem and told me I have a Moen valve that had a life time warranty. He stated he would pick up part in morning and come back in afternoon the next day. He showed up with new part earlier than expected and had everything done in 15 minutes and charged $40.00.

 + 0 moreHe first tried to fix it by replacing elements but that did not work so he ended up replacing the 50 gal tank with another one. He basically worked all day on Saturday until we were satisfied and he brought the system up to code. We thought that the price was a bit high but considering it was Saturday and the hours he spent it was acceptable. Yes we would use them again especially if we could get the same person.
Description of Work: The hot water tank stopped working on a Friday pm. Mr. Rooter workman came out on a Saturday morning.

Description of Work: I had an emergency repair today on a Sunday. My irrigation system froze and created a major leak. I could not find the shutoff. It took about 4 hours to complete the work with one technician, since he had to go and get the parts. They were upfront and honest about the cost. They really went above and beyond for us and were efficient.
Description of Work: We had someone build a house next to us and our sewer line drain was backing up. We could not figure out why it was happening. They were able to see that the pipe near the new house had broken in two different places which was causing a backup in our home.
