Lowe’s has been helping our customers improve the places they call home for more than 60 years. Founded in 1946, Lowe’s has grown from a small hardware store to the second-largest home improvement retailer worldwide. Our story began in North Carolina, when Carl Buchan, part owner of the North Wilkesboro Hardware Company, envisioned creating a chain of hardware stores. He purchased the company from his brother-in-law and partner and had the foresight to anticipate a post-World War II building boom. By eliminating wholesalers and dealing directly with manufacturers, Lowe’s established a lasting reputation for low prices. Sales grew over time and we expanded all across the country and now operate stores not only in the United States, but also in Canada and Mexico. Although times have changed since Lowe’s first opened its doors in 1946, Lowe’s values have not— the company remains committed to offering high-quality home improvement products at everyday low prices, while delivering superior customer service.

The service in the Lowes store is amazing. All of the staff are very helpful and willing to explain their products so that you don't waste time and money on redoing things because of lack of knowledge

Were told delivery would be between 11 AM and 1 PM. Dellivery truck arrived at 3 PM. Old drier was removed and new one was brought in. Hookup began when I discovered they had brought the wrong brand of drier. They checked their records and realized the error. They went back to the company and returned in two hours with the correct drier. It was then hooked up. The delivery people were pleasant and it was a very hot day.
Description of Work: We bought a new electric clothes drier. The company on this day delivered and hooked up the drier.

The lowes segment if the process went well. The contractor they used was a little less than professional to start out he was angry because we had not moved the larger furniture out if the upstairs because we planned to move it from room to room as they finished a room. We had no way to get the furniture out of the upstairs area as we are in out 60's and had no extra help at the time. After he called lowes to complain about us he calmed down and the rest if the installation went well.
Description of Work: Ordered carpet gave us the contractors information for installation.

The delivery team arrived on time and began to work immediately. They both were very professional and personable. They took great care not do damage my home when bringing in and setting up the refrigerator. They removed all packing material and hooked up the fridge to the water line. They took the time to show me how to use the features and worked to make sure it was perfectly level. I appreciated that they didn't seem rushed and took the time to make sure I was happy with the service. They both had a lot of experience between the two and it was evident that they didn't need the instructions to set up the fridge and work the controls.

I don't like the distance you have to travel to Lowe's. It's a bit far where I live. I find things cheaper than the other stores. Their pricing is not too bad.

It was just fine. The installer was helpful and professional.
Description of Work: Bought a GE Auroa Frig in Dallas, TX Lowes to be delivered in the Porter's Neck area of Wilmington, NC. When the frig was delivered, the frig was too large for the space. He made some suggestions and returned the frig to the Wilmington store. We apppreciated his promptness, honesty and willingness to help us.

They are convenient for me as they are near my home. I would rate them overall a B. My only issue is sometimes the customer service is a little lax, but everything else is okay though.

I did not use them. They were fine and the young fellow I worked with seemed to know what he was doing. They just didn't have the quality versus the price that I was looking for. They did a great job.

Their reps responded quickly to my phone calls and answered all my questions professionally. Top grades to everyone involved.
Description of Work: The project specialist responded quickly to give me an initial estimate and told me the installer would come out to do a follow-up estimate. He also explained that if there was material left over at the end of the job, I could expect a refund. There was a slight delay as I went on vacation, but when I returned the installer quickly scheduled the job, then completed it in one day. I was pleased with the speed of the project and the quality of construction. And very pleased to see a credit to my account a few days later as they had been able to return leftover material to Lowes. All-around good experience. I intend to use Lowes for my next home improvement project.

I don’t remember the details but it went fine. I don’t recall any problems, they gave us what we wanted, and they got it installed for us. I don't think this Lowe's is any different than the other ones.
