He recently repainted a rental home that I own. He coordinated his work with the other contractors and turned a very rough looking cottage into a showcase home. He is a gentleman and a true professional.

They arrived on time on the day promised and were quick, friendly and did an excellent job! Highly recommend.

His name was Hayward Lineberry. There was a lot of painting. The interaction was excellent. I liked everything about them. They were very professional and clean. The price was comparable. They showed up on time and cleaned up their mess. The quality was excellent.

It went very well. I received prompt, clear answers to my questions.

Haywood came out for an estimate on Wednesday. He gave me a price and said he would be able to start the following Monday. That Monday he came out and pressure washed and started painting the following day. On Wednesday it was supposed to rain so he called me and told me he had scheduled a quick interior job. I had no problem with that. I have had experience before where contractors simply failed to show up. I was glad to get a phone call. They finished the job Friday morning and it looks great. I have already recommended them to friends.

He was recommended by someone I knew and also saw him on your website. I left him to paint the rooms while I was out of town. He had to do some work to get the rest of the wallpaper backing off of the walls. He didn't cover anything in my house and dust was everywhere. The paint job was lousy. I marked the places he painted with stick tabs. When he came back to redo he acknowledge one room had so many stick tabs he had to redo that room entirely. Even after coming back to redo, the job was not properly done. I didn't call him back a third time.

We will definitely be calling Mr. Lineberry again.

Mr. Lineberry was professional, on time and very ease to communicate with. His 2 workers were wonderful!...We had to wait a week because of rain but we are thrilled with the results.

Made immediate contact, looked over the work, provided an estimate that was emailed the next day. Had to wait a week to start the work. Mr. Lineberry was prompt and professional. He requested feedback on the work. He completed the work quickly. In retrospect, I should have asked what I was getting for the price before hiring. The trim was in rough shape, since it's very old. He did make it look considerably better but said afterwards that for more time/money, he could have made it almost look like new (to make it look like new, a lot more sanding and prep would have needed to be done). For the money I paid, I am comfortable with the end product. We did not have a lot of time, or extra funds, to do an extensive rehab and the trim does look much better than it had. Next time, I'll be aware to ask more questions so I have a better understanding of my options. Overall, Lineberry painting does a good job for a good price.

Based on Angie's List we contacted Mr. Lineberry for a estimate. He arrived at the time scheduled, quickly examined the rooms to be done and provided us with a reasonable estimate which we immediately accepted. (His bill was exactly the same number with minor changes for addition work we subsequently requested.) On the date to begin the job he and his associate arrived punctually and began to move the furniture, drapes, et al, in preparation to remove the wall paper. That part of the job, in my thinking, was going to be -- and was difficult but he and his crew handled it with good humor and did an excellent job in all three rooms. Each day he and, when needed, his crew arrived on time and quickly went to work. Every detail was attended to in a friendly and highly professional manor. I commented to my wife that they preformed their work as though they were painting their own house. The clean up was amazing and Mr. Lineberry returned the final day to re-install the drapes and do a final check on the job -- which was simply outstanding in every respect. (As an aside, Mr. Lineberry has a "power washing" company which I plan to use on my house and driveway after the first of the year.) I could not give a higher recommendation for this outstanding organization. I've hired numerous painting contractors from around this community a number of times over the past 15 years. Lineberry Painting is, by far, the best in the city!

I was searching for a good, economical painter, and came across Lineberry Painting here on Angie's List. There were existing reviews that were very positive, so I called and gave them a shot. Haywood Lineberry was very nice and professional on the phone and in-person when he provided me with an estimate. Both Haywood and Dave were very punctual, thorough, and would not be satisfied if I wasn't satisfied with the job. I'm a *very* critical person when it comes to contracted work in my property, and the very few small areas that needed additional attention (after the job was completed) were quickly addressed to my satisfaction. In the master bedroom, the gallon of paint that I had purchase to finish cutting in around the cathedral ceilings didn't quite match perfectly, so Haywood said that he would repaint both walls so that it would look perfect, and this was at no extra charge to me! The quality of paint they use (Benjamin Moore) is MUCH better than Valspar/BEHR which you see at Lowe's/Home Depot respectively. We used a new "Aura" paint in the hallway that is a scrubbable matte finish (very similar to flat) and it looks outstanding. Two coats of this stuff will cover ANY color, without the use of primer. The rental property they painted wasn't in the best of shape, with dings on the walls, toilet paper holders ripped off in the bathroom, etc. They painted every room and every closet in the house, including all floor molding, door trim, window trim, and doors for $1000 including the cost of the paint. This house has 3 bedrooms, living room, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and 5 closets. I challenge you to find ANY painter in Wilmington NC that can come close to this kind of quality work for that kind of a price. You won't be able to! In summary, on top of the outstanding customer service and being very easily accessible and polite, Lineberry's pricing is OUTSTANDING and I dare say impossible to beat. 25 years of painting experience, and a h*** of a nice group of people to work with. HIGHLY recommended.

With time constraints I began asking around and found this and another company on Angie's list. Mr. Lineberry came out on Saturday (the same day I called) and was able to start the job Monday morning. Mr. Lineberry was very patient, courteous and professional. We provided the paint and a particular color I chose looked horrible! He stayed and repainted 3 rooms over for minimal cost. Very professional. I was worried about the carpet baseboards getting paint on them and he assured me not a drop of paint would be spilled :) He was right! A lot of companies do not clean up after themselves, but Mr. Lineberry and his crew gathered up all my boxes and buckets! No mess left behind!

The job was completed on time with no surprises and done to my satisfaction. I'd hardily recommend his work and plan on contracting him to paint the exterior of this house in the near future.

Haywood was the third contractor to view and estimate my newly-purchased 10-year old home in Wilmington, 2250 sq ft, walls only. He was recommended to me by my realtor. His estimate was significantly less ($1,200) than the other 2 contractors ($2,000 and $2,200) and he said it would take 2-3 days, less than the other estimates that were for 5-7 days. He also said he would put 2 coats everywhere, the other contractors estimated 2 coats for 3 or 4 of the 8 rooms and 2 hallways. He made the estimate in the morning and was able to send over a painter (David) in the afternoon. Haywood was able to take the paint chip I had and match it using the paint he prefers (Benjamin Moore Super Spec). David worked 8 hours a day and completed the job 3 days later as expected. David did an outstanding job, best I've seen. He was fast, thorough, careful and very professional. Haywood stopped in a number of times to see how everything was going, he was tied up on another project at the time. I inspected the work thoroughly after completion and noted the baseboards and trim around the doors (not part of the original work request as they were in very good condition) showed a lot of paint from the previous painter. It wasn't obvious before David painted but it sure stuck out like a sore thumb afterwood. Haywood stopped in later to pick up the check and when I showed him the trim throughout the house, he offered to paint it all for $300. He sent David back the following week and he completed the job in about 6 hours. David included 2 doors not part of the original estimate as well as ceiling touchup as directed by Haywood. It was obvious the previous painter was not a professional as every room had wall paint on the ceiling. Haywood did not charge for this extra work. Again, the work was completed professionally and quickly. During this time, I was having a foyer built at the front entrance. When it was completed, I contacted Haywood again to come back to paint it and he sent David again...and he DID NOT charge me for this extra work, amazing! I'm sure I'll be using Haywood (and David by request) again soon.
