Not well at all. Mr. Lafon did not even wash the table and chairs before painting. He said "Like new" - he meant "like new from an as-is used furniture store" I think. He claimed that he scrubbed the table with steel wool and a wire brush. Then he said that it didn't matter because the paint would solidify the rust. I delivered the table and chairs to his business and told him there was no rush. He called within a couple of days and said the furniture repairs and painting had been completed. I could not believe that he could have done it in that amount of time, but with the right equipment and climate control, I assumed that he could. I had given a 50 percent down payment and in error, handed him the remaining cash before I checked the table and chairs. They were awful. We took them home but I returned the chairs a few days later. I told him that he needed to complete the job as promised. He had placed some pink substance on the broken metal seat strips and they broke when I was putting them in the car. He said it was my fault for pressing on them. In the meantime, I realized that he painted the cobwebs that were on the table. We took the table thinking that the chairs would be finished. He had made a couple more repairs but the paint was still peeling - some places not even painted. He said "People don't usually look at the bottom of the furniture." It wasn't just the bottom - but this is an outdoor, wrought iron set - the bottom MUST be painted! We told him to keep the chairs and left the table. We went to pick up the table and chairs this afternoon (12/22/2014) and he had done nothing more (he had called to say it was ready - we had assured him there was no rush). Paint was peeling - rust was still showing. He ran after me with his can of spray paint and said he would just touch them up as I was putting them in the car. I had to stop him! The man is not honest. He still insisted that he had used a small steel brush on the whole set! I am sad that I trusted him.
Description of Work: Said that he would make my wrought iron table and chairs like new. Dirty, rusted, some seat supports rusted through.

The job took the worker over 7 hours the first day and he stated he would need to return the next morning to complete. During that time he had to go to the store 6 times for parts. He not only requested money for parts upfront, but he also asked for 20 dollars to go eat lunch that day. He appeared unknowledgable about basic plumbing skills. He was not aware that plumbers tape is essential in making a water tight seal on pipes. He was unaware that a rubber hoes cannot be used on a hot water line. And seven hours later, the new dishwasher was not level and it leaked. The worker was in denial of these concerns but stated he had more work to do and would be back the next morning. When the worker arrived on day 2, we paid him for his services and informed him we had someone else coming to complete the job. We contacted a professionally licensed plumber who fixed all of the previous worker's mistakes and finished the job in less than an hour. He also cost half as much.
Description of Work: Removal of an old dishwasher and instillation of a new one.

Response from HAYDEN LAFON FURNITURE REPAIR
The reason the next plumber only took an hour is because I had already do the most work. I installed the dishwasher and attempeted to attach the dishwasher holes to the water source only to find that is was not long enough. If the so called plumber had started from the beginning of removing and opening the box and then installing, it would have tanken as long as it did me. The customer would not have paid me if I had not done as I had told her I would. thank you.
