Five Star Painting of Wilmington

Five Star Painting completed my project on time and at the agreed upon price. The quality of their workmanship exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them to a friend or family member.

Very professional company. Initial presentation by owner/operator was especially professional and impressive. Apparently, this company is owned and run by a franchisee. I'm not 100% certain of how much other companies charge for similar service, but I was willing to pay extra for the company's high quality professionalism. I did get one additional estimate from another company I found on Angie's List and it was about $70 less than that quoted by Five Star. However, the other company got off to a bad start when they said they'd provide a quote the next day, but didn't do so. That helped to make the choice between Five Star and the other company relatively easy for me. Five Star had neglected to paint the kitchen baseboards (easy to overlook since they were covering white paint with another white coat), but they sent someone out quickly to correct this. The crew was very pleasant and finished sooner than anticipated. I was very happy with Five Star and would definitely recommend them to others.

5 Star is the best. Tanner has a great crew in Cristian, Memo, and Mike. They were very professional. Always on time and very neat.

Very professional! Crew was polite, conscientious, respectful, good attention to detail, and cleaned up well when the day was done. Good communication from the owner (Tanner) leading up to and through the project. Their colorist worked with my wife to help select the right colors which was very helpful; a nice service. Plan to use again. Highly recommend!

We live nearly 3000 miles away from the jobsite, but the tenant Ok'd the job's results. We would recommend Tanner Green of Five Star Painting in Wilmington. He was easy to work with, communicated very well.

Tanner, the owner, came to give us an estimate the day after we called. Gave us an estimate on the spot, then emailed us a detailed quote of everything that was to be done. We were extremely pleased with the quote. He wanted to get his crew started that week, but we wanted to wait a week when he got back from his vacation. As it turned out, there was no need for that because his crew was extremely capable and professional. His foreman, Guilmer, was great. With a crew of four, they pressured washed on a Tuesday, painted on Wednesday and Thursday. Cleaned up exceptionally well every day. Were quiet and courtesy. We are very, very happy with the quality and quickness of the entire job. A very nice surprise came when they cleaned our windows!

They did an excellent job, very easy to work with, reasonable price.

This company originally quoted me $150 and they actually knocked $50 off of that price since there was not as much work as they originally quoted. I was very happy with the experience with Five Star Painting.

Five Star Painting was fantastic to work with. The prices were very affordable and the workers were not only extremely punctual, but they are thorough to say the least. When they arrived punctually at my house, all the men took their shoes off to walk through. They put sheets down to cover the floor as well. Not only did they do an amazing job painting both my garage and screened in porch, but they swept and vacuumed the spaces they were in before they left to ensure it was immaculate. I am pretty sure it was cleaner when they left, then it was before they got there :). I was also impressed that the workers gladly moved my stuff out from the garage and back into the garage when the paint was dry. They asked numerous times if everything looked up to my standards and if there was anything else I wanted them to paint or fix. I am finally glad to say that as a real estate broker in the area, I know who my "go to" painters will be, without a doubt! Thanks for the wonderful experience Five Star Painting!

Five Star Painting was a pleasure to work with. Tanner arrived on time for our appointment to discuss the job, made several very helpful suggestions and gave us a quote very promptly. We met with him a second time to clarify some of the items we were considering, and he was very accommodating of our schedule. We had quotes from several other painting contractors and his was very competitive. Additionally, his professionalism gave us a greater feeling of security that this big job would be done right and he would stand behind the work. His crews arrived on time and were at work the moment they came through the door. They finished the job on time, did a great job and were very pleasant to work with. Tanner came in after the job was completed to do a walk through with us and the few very minor items we noted were taken care of the very next day - he was even more particular than we were when we did the walk through. Removing a popcorn ceiling is a very dirty job, and doing a whole house is beyond dirty. We took everything out of the house except the heaviest pieces of furniture and were very glad we did - this also enabled the crew to get the job done on time with the minimum difficulty. The only thing we did not anticipate was that we had to have the carpets cleaned afterwards, but in retrospect we should have expected that. As messy as this is, the crew did their best to minimize the mess. Because of the great experience we had, we have recommended Five Star to several neighbors who have had similar good experiences. We will continue to recommend this company to friends and neighbors because we have been so pleased with their work.

As expected Tanner's crew did an outstanding job! Although the house was built in 2009 the exterior needed to be powerwashed and painted. The home looks new inside and out and we are extremely pleased with Five Star Painting and would highly recommend them to do any paint job or powerwashing. They were excellent. They were $1000 cheaper than the others. They came in the morning and were here till evening. They came back twice and cleaned up after themselves. They did everything. Iw as very pleased with everything they did. The quality of their work was excellent.

Simply the Best! We have purchased twelve homes and without a doubt this was the most professional paint job we have ever paid to have accomplished.. The quality of paint (Sherwin WIlliams) and the quality of service were outstanding. Tanner's quality control was outstanding as well, he was there from the onset walking his lead painter through our house making sure he knew exactly what we wanted done, the time constraints, and the need to protect the floors as well as the appliances in the house. Tanner conducted routine visits to ensure the project was being done properly and on time. Tanner was most impressive at the end of the job when we conducted a walkthrough to ensure that we were completely satisfied with not only the painting, but the clean up as well. My wife and I were extremely impressed with the painting and the clean up process wherein Tanner made sure the house was spotless including the hardwood floors which were cleaned with Bona hardwood floor cleaniing solution making the house sparkle!We would highly recommend Five Star Painting. Prompt response to estimate and emails. Paintersarrived on time and ready to work each day. Worked hard and completed the job in a timely fashion. They were very courteous and professional at all times. All tasks requested were undertaken completely to my satisfaction. Great job! I will definitely use them again and request the great team I had - Carlos, Luis and Christian!

All went very well! Very responsive, punctual and except for a couple of drips, etc. that i discovered after job completed/paint fully dried, very good quality work. The price was also good in comparison to one other company's estimate that was for twice the cost and would take more than twice the time to do the job. Tanner and the painters were professional but very personable; painters were careful throughout and did good cleanup and putting things back in place. In summary I feel I got a very good job done very quickly and at a resonable cost.

Tanner is a sweet, honest guy. He gave me an estimate on the spot, whereas the other (local) promised me one in two days but did not get back to me for almost a week. Tanner (Five Star) was much lower than the local bid and did a wonderful job! It proves the theory that the local guy is not always the best choice, nor the most economical!!!

Both the job estimator and painting crew were professional, courteous.and crew kept the job area clean. Kept price as quoted which was quite reasonable. Could not ask for better service. Brought in large crew to finish the job ahead of schedule. WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN.

I had Five Star Painting Paint my home in Wilmington earlier this year. We own a beach house at Holden Beach what we rent during the summer season. About every 3 to 4 years we need to repaint the interior and have some drywall patching done . I called Tanner the owner who schedules a time we could meet at the beach house. The estimate Tanner provide included painting the interior and some touch up on the deck hand rails. He also included in the estimate some drywall patching . Once we agreed on a price Tanner told me that the total job would take about 3 days to completed. He asked me when they could begin and what time he would be able to start each day. I told him we didn’t have it rented for next couple of months so he could start as early as he wanted and work as late as he wanted Tanner ask me if I wanted to meet him and the painters at our beach house the first morning to make sure there wasn’t something that they needed to have me cover with them before they started. Because the beach house is less than an hour from our home I told him I would meet him that first morning. When I arrived a couple of the painters were from the crew that had painted my home. They did a great job on both the painting and patching making the house look like it was almost new. They left our beach house clean and finished the painting in 3 days. After the painting was done Tanner asked me to meet him at the beach house so he could make sure I was I was happy with the work. I told Tanner they did everything I had asked and I were extremely happy with the way the beach house looked. I told him I would be recommending Five Star Painting to family and friends if they were looking for a painter.

They were on time, did an excellent work and cleaned up. Mr Tannar checked to make sure everything was done correctly. They were $ 500 cheaper than the other painters.

A crew of painters arrived promptly at the time specified and assisted us in removing some of the furniture although that is not normally a part of their job. First, they painted the ceilings in 7of the rooms in our home. They proceeded by painting the individual rooms, including the dining room and kitchen, which required the relocation of a refrigerator, a freezer and a washer and dryer. When they finished work each day, they made sure the house was secure before they left. The painters were always neatly dressed and courteous at all times. All contact with Tanner Green was acknowledged quickly and frequently with a visit to ensure that any concern that we had was addressed. We were impressed by his promptness and his willingness to answer our many questions. The project was completed on time and we were surprised when one of the workers cleaned the windows, including the bathroom and kitchen. We are well pleased with all of the work that was done.

I contacted Five Star Painting in Wilmington about painting my home. I received a call from Tanner the owner who set a time he would come by and give me an estimate. The estimate was very detailed and included a complete list of the work what they would be doing in both the inside and outside. Once I told Tanner I would be hiring Five Star Painting, Tanner told me that the total job would take about 4 days on the outside and about 3 day to completed the inside. He asked me that time his painters could start each day and what time I would like them to leave each evening. The first day Tanner was at my home with the painting crew to make sure they knew that was to be done. The crew was friendly and asked me throughout the project questions as they came up. The crew cleaned up each day and completed the job on time. After the painting was done Tanner walked me through the entire house to make sure I was satisfied with the work , which I was.. I would recommend Five Star Painting to all my family and friends for any painting project they would have. They did a great job.
