This was a multi-story beach house on pilings; a difficult house to paint. Ralph and his crew always showed up on time, did excellent work and were very courteous and professional. I've used them for jobs in the past and they are not only the best painters, but the best contractors of any sort that I've every worked with. After nearly a year of ocean front sun, sand, wind and rain (plus a hurricane), the exterior paint job on the house still looks great. The interior has held up great to seasonal (weekly) rentals, one of the toughest tests. When it is time to repaint, Elliott's is who I'm going to call.

All work was done punctually and very professionally; best paint job of home I have ever had; would highly recommend for any outside or inside home paint job of any size; came in at under budget and on time. Great people to work with and very friendly.

A few years ago a friend recommended Elliots (she is very fussy). He was prompt, clean, great job. What impressed me most was that after the job when he came to collect his money he said that the job didn't take as long as anticipated and that the price would be under the quote. He could have not said anything and I would be none the wiser. This showed what an ethical person Elliot is. I'm having some exterior work done so I called him for an estimate, no need to check with anyone else. The only problem is that he talked me into doing my bedroom and bathroom (which I wanted done, but maybe not at this time) but he said it would be cheaper this way. I believe him.

Ralph gave up his plans to meet me on a Saturday for a quote. He didn't require a deposit and began working THAT DAY. He and his team worked day and night to get my project done on time and did a BEAUTIFUL job. When all was completed, he came in UNDER BUDGET by $200. He is honest, trustworthy, efficient, talented, and a genuinely nice and funny guy. I feel like I've known him for years.

It was amazing!!! I live in a historical home that I bought and knew would need work. I've been working on the "main issues" foundation, plumbing, etc. It's finally time start the fun stuff. I'm outside of the downtown historical district, but still downtown. With an historical home you have to be careful with the painter you choose! You have to be aware if you have oil base paint on anything or lead paint, or... the list goes on. Ralph took the time to walk the property with me, wrote out a very detailed quote so I knew exactly what to expect. We went over all the possibilities (I did have oil based paint on the trim). He was available anytime I had questions or concerns. The house looks amazing!!! He and his team really went above and beyond to help me create my dream home!!! My neighbors every time they see me outside are "wow! it looks amazing". They had family in town that said the same thing. My mom has shared pictures of the house with all of her friends. I think I've texted everyone I know and I think I'm becoming that annoying person and people are starting to think "okay, we get it, you got your house painted". But it just looks so good!!!!

Working with Ralph George and his crew has been one the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor. (and I have owned 6 houses all across the country ranging from 35 yrs old to 147 yrs old over the last 40 years!) Ralph gave me a quote and then told me that it is his personal challenge to beat his quote. His wasn't the lowest but I had a good feeling from him so I trusted my gut. He most definitely beat his quote in dollars as well as in time! (Quoted $7,843.00, Final Bill $5,891.00)He did this in the midst of me adding 10 shutters and 2 doors to the workload plus fixing one of the doors on my shed! (oh yes, he also let one of his crew save me from an unexpected leaking toilet! He pulled the toilet, reseated it with new ring and anchor bolts and then caulked the base to seal it! Professional quality job!) Ralph personally started prepping the house on Sunday by trimming the bushes, power washing the house, and caulking windows, cracks, nails, etc. There was no scrimping on the prep work as there were 11 tubes of caulking used! Ralph and the crew were professional, courteous, friendly, and efficient! They did all of the extras listed above while also putting up with my puppy and finished the job on Wednesday! This wasn't a stock paint project either, as they used 4 different colors! The house was one color while the shutters were a dark shade, the doors were a medium shade, and the decks were the darkest of the them all but a very close match to the shutters out front. Ralph also discussed using a textured, or gritty paint on the deck, which wasn't in my scheme but I went with it and am SO glad that I did! It is a gentle texture, not like sandpaper and keeps the deck from being slippery when wet. I am sure that I will appreciate it even more this winter! Communication is a huge key in any project and Ralph kept me apprised of how the job was progressing. He was great at pointing out any additional work that may be needed as well as keeping his crew informed of any and all changes/additions. Everyone was pleasant, courteous, willing to work around my schedule, and going the extra mile. They touched up exterior light fixtures so that they won't look dingy and old. They took down the down spouts so that they could paint behind them (no other contractor has ever done this for me!) and then, rather than putting dingy downspouts back up, they painted them too! (not part of the quote!) They do business the old fashioned way, with pride and integrity! (and they are fully insured!) I truly cannot say enough good things about this company! They will be the first one I call when I am ready to paint the interior of my home! In my opinion, you would be foolish to pass them up!

Having our house painted went about as well as it could go. Mr. Elliott gave us a clear and detailed estimate of the work his company would perform and what the cost would be. We did have to wait a few months before the work began, as Mr. Elliott had several customers scheduled ahead of us. From the time his crew arrived till the moment they completed the work, they were professional, courteous and hard working. First they washed the entire house. We have this done annually, and this was the best wash the house has ever gotten. They then scraped and sanded all loose paint, and spot primed raw wood on the siding. They primed all the trim, as we changed from oil based paint to latex. They replaced a small amount of rotten wood - drip edge at the bottom of the siding on one corner of the house. A member of the crew had to manufacture the trim, and when he was done, we could not tell the difference between the original and the new. There was a small leak on the front porch, which has a metal roof. They patched the hole, and put two coats of hydro stop on the roof. While working on the front porch, we decided the deck needed to be scraped and painted. They did that as well. The back porch is screened, and has a handrail and balusters. We expected to have to remove all the screen so they could paint all four sides of the balusters. Rather than doing that, the crew unpinned the bottom of the screen and rolled it up out of the way. Then, after painting the handrail and balusters they re-pinned the screen and put everything back just the way it was before. Most of the shutters on the house were in fine shape and did not need paint, but two sets were peeling and in need of attention. We gave the go-ahead to do the work, and it was done quickly and well. As they were wrapping up the crew went around the house and made sure that all the windows opened and closed properly. Mr. Elliott based his estimate on how long he thought it would take to do the work. Even with adding several items of work, including scraping and painting the front porch deck, painting the shutters, putting a second coat of paint on the siding, and painting the porch ceilings, the crew finished two days sooner than Mr. Elliott had estimated. He passed that savings along to us, which wound up being about a thirteen percent reduction from the original estimate. The completed job looks absolutely splendid. We're very pleased. We will absolutely use Mr. Elliott's company again in the future.

Responsive, professional, fast, clean, just plain great to deal with. I cannot say enough good things about working with Ralph and his team. The day that he came over to pick up the house key, he brought a crew with him to place drop cloths and begin prep. That type of "above and beyond" action is what sets Elliott Painting apart. Our house is more than 110 years old, and has both plaster and drywall. There was not a single wall or ceiling that did not need attention, and Ralph and his guys made sure it happened. We chose a palette of about 5 different neutral shades, and the finished product looks gorgeous. All walls received three coats of paint; and, although we thought only some trim would need retouching, most of it was tended to. Several little details were also tackled, like taking down curtain rods, removing and disposing of a large light fixture, and even repainting the stair risers, Still, Ralph stayed under the price he originally quoted me. Re: Price. Was this the cheapest quote we received? No. Was it worth it? Yes. Work started quickly and finished on time. The quality is excellent, and I am confident that if there were to be any issues, Ralph would make it right. Additionally, it was great to have our neighbors comment on how pretty the house looks, and to let us know they saw that the crew was here early and stayed late daily. Since we were out of town during the work, it was reassuring to learn that these guys just didn't slack. All the effort shows, and beautifully.

He showed up the next day after I called him. It was on the weekend and I could not find anybody else that would see me immediately. He negotiated a quote of $559 and then gave me a cash discount of $59. He was extremely professional and friendly.He finished the job in just a couple of days allowing for things to dry in between. When he showed up to get paid, he gave me $40 back because it took less time than he had planned. I was very pleased with his crew and their work.

All painters were polite, neat, and everything was done by date Ralph said it would be done and everything was back in place. I could not have asked for better service.

I recently called Elliott's Paint Service to address power washing of the house and driveway and miscellaneous painting needs. I had previously used their services several years ago and had been very happy with the results so I decided to use them again. And I was very happy with my decision. The power washing was done in a thorough and meticulous manner, getting into every nook and cranny but carefully guarding the plants and other items needing protection. Paintingwise, we had a number of things needing attention. A number of years in this climate with the humidity, salt air, hot sun, etc ultimately takes its toll of a wood siding house. The owner of Elliott's, Ralph George, was extremely helpful in identifying areas needing attention and providing information on addressing the proper solution to correct the problem - painting, caulking, or repairing. He was also very flexible and considerate in scheduling the work tin order to cause the least disruption in our lives and schedules. His crew was prompt, courteous, and professional. It was apparent they have been working together for several years and while anyone of them could do any work necessary they each had their own and quot;specialtyand quot; skill which clearly contributed to the efficient flow of the work. I especially appreciated their bringing to my attention additional things that needed to be addressed that were not in the original assessment so they could be handled now either by the crew or through other resources. Mr. George was totally on top of the job planning and coodrinating each step in order to complete it in as short a time as possible. He takes great pride in meeting and even beating his original estimate for the time and cost of the job. I think it would be hard to find a more professional, knowledgable, caring team of painters to get your job done in a timely and cost effective manner. I highly recommend Ralph George and his crew.

I had family coming to town and called this company last minute. I explained to them that we were having a wedding and the house really needed to be cleaned. I spoke with the owner, Ralph George. He scheduled the appointment for 2 days later in time for the wedding. He did not make me feel like I was inconveniencing him or his company by asking for them to come as soon as possible. He was very professional and accommodating and sent a 2 person crew to come in to do the work. They arrived on time, was very professional and I felt comfortable around them. Their work was excellent and the house looks great. Although they spent a lot of time on details, they were quick and got the job done.

I met Ralph George for a quote at 10 am on a Sat morning and he was puddying the walls before he even had the job. I had read the reviews on Angie's List and, after meeting Ralph I felt very comfortable. Next thing I know, he has two men from his team in and they completed all the trim work that afternoon. Ralph and his team were prompt, courteous and extremely professional. The job came in under his quote. The total job was completed by Tues afternoon and I had even added some exterior work to the project. The townhouse looks like brand new. Every wall in the place had to be repaired and painted. The ceilings were even repainted. And, they took care of things I had not even noticed. I do notice now that they have been repaired and repainted. In today's world, it is wonderful to know that their are still dependable people like Ralph and his crew! And, nice guys to boot. Ralph Elliott and his crew are true professionals and 100% gentlemen. Their work is impeccable and no short cuts are taken to make something look like its not.. Ralph is honest and professional in all ways. A man of his word. He arrives on time with his crew and they are very conscientious about noise, consideration for neightbors, and neatness around and on the property. I got Ralph's name from a neighbor who had used him to paint her home. After intervewing 3 other painters, there was no doubt in my mind that Ralph was the most fairly priced and his reputation preceded him. So I took the chance. I AM NOT SORRY!!! This man is a true artist and craftsman. If you want someone to do the job as if you were doing it yourself, then please hire Ralph Elloitt. His pride in his work and his approach to cost saving measures while using the best products is refreshing; especially in this world; when so many other scam artisits are out there. I will be recommending Ralph all over town to all that I meet. Trust me when I say you will never regret dealing with Ralph Elliott and his crew. All are truly dedicated craftsmen who take their job seriouslly. Oh and by the way, they are great singers and have good senses of humor. Extremely kind to the family animals as well.. These guys did a wonderful job. I have an old house, built in 1927, and Ralph and his crew treated it with loving care. The prep work was extensive; they used a lot of caulk and scraped off all the loose old paint and then they went to work with the brushes. The house looks great, and the price came in under the estimate.

What a great experience. Talk about exceeding expectations! We were moving into a new home and wanted to repaint all of the rooms before the furniture was scheduled to arrive. After talking to Ralph about what we needed, he made arrangements to have a crew on site the first day we were able to get into the house. He worked with my wife to get the entire interior painted while working around carpet stretchers and various movers and delivery people. This was no easy one color job either. There were nine colors, three of which were faux finishes and the wallpaper needed to be removed from the kitchen, laundry room and four bathrooms. Ralph and his crew took everything in stride. Always professional, always prompt, Ralph fit us into his already busy schedule and literally transformed the entire interior of our home. Everyone who has seen the work is amazed not only at how great everything looks but also at the price it was done for and how little time it all took. Even more impressive is that Ralph and his crew were always willing to do the little extras like replacing rusted light fixtures, removing towel bars, pointing out ways to save money and even going the extra distance when one of the faux finish paints wasn't quite working as advertised. Ralph applied extra coats at his expense to make sure that the job looked right when he was done. He wouldn't stop until the job was done to our satisfaction and left everything at least as clean as it was before he arrived. No up front money was requested and in fact no payment was requested until he was done and we were happy with the result and no price changes were requested even when things got more involved than originally expected. There are lots of painters to be found on Angie's List and various other sources but there's only one in my permanent contact list. Ralph will get all of my painting business and will get my highest recommendation whenever someone asks me if I know a painter.

Do hire them. Don't hire anyone else.

His crew was prompt, courteous, and extremely professional. They have been working together for several years and while it seemed they could each do the complete job each one had their “specialty” which contributed to the efficient flow of the work. One doing the cutting, one on windows and doing grids, and one caulking and patching cracks in molding and dry walls, etc. Additionally, whenever they found things that needed attention that were not in the initial plan they asked for permission to take care of it – so you wouldn’t find those little nagging things after the painters had departed. Ralph was totally on top of the job the whole time planning and coordinating each step of the job to assure that the team could beat the original estimate of time and cost – which we had already considered an excellent bid. Knowing he is insured against any damages that might occur during the job and with no money exchanged until the job was complete and we were satisfied, eased our minds during the process. For any interior or exterior paint project you have, I highly recommend Ralph George and his crew.
