+ -1 moreThe shed was leveled up with pieces of shingles need I say more. The floor runners are sticking out past the perimeter of the shed so I can't install lattice around the bottom of the building. He was supposed to come back and cut them properly and has not, its been months. They left my driveway an absolute mess with crap everywhere, saw dust, pieces of wood, subway trash, bones from god knows what and rotten pears was all left in my driveway. When I called him about it, he said they couldn't come clean it up until the next day...it was just past lunch. I had to clean it up bc the saw dust was already tracked from one end of the house to the other. Some of the nails in the siding didn't go all the way through so they just bent them over and hammered them in. It looks very trashy. The roof has an angle on one side and sticks up. The roof pitch doesn't match up, boards are crooked and not long enough. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will go out of my way to let people know not to use them. The price isn't worth it, spend a little more and hire a professional.

Description of Work: Quote was not competitive. Did not provie cost breakdown listing material and labor seperately as requested. No leadtime to construct the shed on site was given

Description of Work: After finding Jarid on Angie's LIst, my husband called him for an estimate for a 12' X 16' storage building. Having priced others we were very happy with his $2800.00 estimate! Jarid arrived exactly on time, with one helper, and by 5:30 pm our building was complete! To say Jarid has his technique down to a science is an understatement. He is very meticulous at leveling and squaring the floor and once he had that done to his satisfaction, everything else went up like a beautiful dance, and Jarid led every step to perfection. Truthfully, we had never seen anyone work so quickly and efficiently until we hired Jarid, and the quality of his work is definitely 5-star! My husband, J.D., knew he was the one to hire when Jarid told him that he uses all galvanized nails, the kind that doesn't rust. Anyone who has lived here long enough to appreciate the humidity and storms, knows the frustration of spotting rusty nailheads, especially in new construction. That will not happen with Jarid's buildings! And all the rest of his materials are top quality as well. We will not be worrying about the floor rotting, or overloading the floor, nor will the roof leak, or warp. I believe we were Jarid's building #250 or #251, so he is not a newby at this. J.D. jokingly said we should put an air conditioner out there and move into it while we have the rest of our home updated with long needed repairs! If you need a storage building, you should at least call Jarid for an estimate. WE think you will be more than pleased. That's why we have hired him to come back to build a small deck on the back of our house!

+ -1 moreHis estimate was very competitive and he evaluated my needs and made pertinent recommedations for the design, which I found helpful. His price included site preparation which relieved me of that problem (had quite a bit of brush to be cleared). He was accessible anytime I had a question and incorporated the minor changes I made at a modest cost. He closely supervised the project, completed it on schedule, and removed all construction debri making the whole project painless for me. No payment was made until AFTER the shed was completed and I said I was satisfied. I have no reservation about recommending him. He would be a tough act to follow for his competitors.
Description of Work: Jarid Davis built a 12x24' shed for me in April 2010. He and his father have been in this business for many years and he is a no-nonesense, straight forward guy. I found him to be honest, punctual, and competent and he expects the same from his employees. I found the value to be exceptional and would recommend him highly.

Davis Storage Buildings offers the following services: I build quality Portable wood storage buildings at your site. I offer 4 different styles and over 40 different sizes of buildings along with a variety of siding choices and ammenity choices. I do have base styles of buildings that are economically designed and i build custom buildings.Buildings can be painted. I build permanant buildings, and handle all permit processes for free if a permit is necessary. I build Piers, Floating Docks, install boat lifts, and all other marine construction needs.
I do not do trim work inside a home.
