Davis Fence

Horrible. NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. THEN FOUND OUT THE OWNER WAS TAKING TO COURT BY A PREVIOUS CLIENT

When we bought a house and needed to fence the yard for the dogs, we chose Davis Fence. They had poor reviews for service but were timely and courteous for the quote. While they have always been good on the phone, that is the extent of the good review. Here is how they failed. 1. Removed the fence a full week early, leaving an inground pool without protection. This is a major safety and insurance liability. They did not call to alert me to this being done. I noticed when I went to check the meter on the house, which I did not yet own. I called and they said they would put the fence up immediately. 2. They did not even start to erect the fence until a full week later. 7 days with no protection around the in ground pool. 3. When the fence did go up, there were gaps under the bottom that the dogs could go through. I expressly requested a low fence for small dog containment. 4. The gates were installed incorrectly, leaving a 4-inch gap and had to be blocked to keep them closed. 5. I called, emailed and texted continually about the need for completion and communication. I rarely got a call. 6. One full month after the closing, the gates were finished. Again, no call. They just showed up with 5 small dogs in the yard and me at work. 7. Immediately after finishing the gates ( a month late) they sent an invoice. I called to dispute due to the time issue and they applied a $200 inconvenience credit. On a nearly $6,000 fence. 3% for a month long ordeal. I do NOT recommend using this company. I hope this review helps others avoid these issues.
