+ 1 moreGreat Work! The live oak that was near death is looking beautiful! My neighbors are amazed. And not only did he do the work, he repeatedly followed up on my beautiful oak trees to see how they were doing. If you need an expert, Greg is your guy.
Description of Work: This provider did many things, so the price looks high. But I believe you get what you pay for and I needed a specialist. I have 2 live oaks well over 100 years old. Also 4 large pine trees and miscellaneous landscape trees. We moved in in January and I immediately called Greg Connolly for an assessment as these live oaks are magnificent and an asset to our property. Our neighbor had indicated that the larger barely obtained growth last year. Greg did a great job bringing it back to life, as well as greatly improving the 2nd live oak and trimming back the other trees (just before the ice storm so we didn't lose any branches). To revive the oaks not only took a great amount of subsurface fertilization, but also a special treatment called "mauget injection" - like giving the trees a big shot in the arm. And a lot of trimming back of dead branches. It was fun to watch the climber do all that trimming on all 6 trees.

+ -1 moreExcellent. Showed up on time. Did a great job, cleaned up well and was very generous with advice to my wife regarding problems with plantings he was not working on. Greg Connolly is an arborist and knows what he is doing.
Description of Work: Trimmed and shaped live oaks to "repair" damage from ice storm, removed dead wood and thinned canopies to reduce limb weight and present less surface area to high winds.

+ -1 moreAll work was done very professionally. Mr. Connolly is a certified arborist and obviously knows his business. We needed the branches on five large trees trimmed back from the roof (a large one had fallen the month before, narrowly missing the house). His crew was exceptionally good and very careful of the plantings below the trees they were working in. They did an amazing job of cleaning up. I would use them again.

+ 0 moreCrew arrived promptly with all necessary equipment. They were speedy and knew what they were doing. Excellent work, stumps ground down deeply not just the surface. All debris removed and beds cleaned up afterwards. They are insured with both workmen's comp and liabilty unlike some services who go bare or only carry liability insurance. They provide proof of insurance on request as well. Owner is a bit gruff, but don't let that influence your decision. I would hire his crew again in a heart beat.
Description of Work: We had them remove approx. 10 trees and grind the stumps. Two of which were over 10 inches in diameter. In addtion they pruned, thinned and trimmed several very large and a few small oaks on our property.
