Excellent all around! This is my 2nd project with John Munn and am just as pleased as the first! They did a great job taking an unfinished multi-family and turning it into a lovely home. In fact, the improvements made such a good impression that the neighbors are going to rent it in January! John and his team remodeled two full bathrooms, updated two kitchen floors, strategically relocated an HVAC register to create a hallway access door to a bedroom, painted the interior and exterior of the home, remodeled two laundry rooms, installed several electrical outlets, and helped assist me with solid recommendations along the way. Simply put, couldnâ t be happier with the value of Johnâ s crew, his vision, and his overall expertise to help me get through this project! Joe

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Working with John at Coastal Built Construction has been a seamless process from the first phone call to the finished product. John helped in emergency type situations, after hours, no questions asked. Services were delivered as described, on time and completed beyond expectations. A general contractor like this, as an owner of several real estate properties, is a rarity! You will not be disappointed. Phenomenal business!!

They were amazing. Neighbors can t believe the magical transformation of this 1969 home. We had walls taken out, popcorn ceilings removed, new flooring, new plumbing, new bathrooms, new electrical and lighting, fireplace whitewashing, and new laundry added. They worked diligently every day showing up on time every day and performed perfect clean up. You can t go wrong with this Superman team.

John Munn is not just another general contractor he has great designer opinions! My home looks amazing after we ran with a few ideas we bounced off each other! He takes ownership of the work and has a keen eye for making the most out of a renovated space, for a fair price. He and his teams are honest, knowledgeable, hardworking, and very enjoyable to work with. Very happy my money went towards getting what I wanted out of the project but also in supporting his great teams. He not only built a beautifully engineered 2nd tier deck, but also added two access doors and renovated the master bathroom for a very reasonable price. When reviewing this major renovation scope with other contractors, this job seemed too large for many of them, but John and Coastal Built Construction handled it smoothly. I will be calling John from Coastal Built Construction for future renovations down the road.

John and his crew impressed us from the start! Quick reply to our request for a quote. He then immediately provided us with a schedule to complete the job with a timeline he expected it to be completed within. He took on a job that most wouldn t. He followed a poor contractor. He assessed the job and got us completed to the proper standards code requires. His crew was polite and worked hard while on the job. When we had questions he was readily available and answered all the tough questions a homeowner would have. We are very happy with the process and work.

Their unmatched attention to detail, and highly efficient team completely transformed my bathroom. They work very quickly and offered me the best value by far. The entire job was done in less than 2 hours, and I finally have the elegant bathroom we envisioned. I will be using them for all my future work.

Finishing touches like beveled top rails provide a richer appearance. The contractors were pleasant and courteous, even to my dogs. I highly recommend John Munn and his crew and although I don t anticipate a reconstruction project any time soon, I will call John again.

John honored his quote and the project was complete sooner than I thought it would be. He came out when he said, provided me design ideas and an estimate to match. My wife and I did our due diligence and after weeding through the other contractors, we found ourselves really impressed by John and his company so we moved to the hiring phase. Once we hired John, our project was quickly scheduled. He had complete oversight over the project every step of the way. We made a couple of design changes along the way and he and his crew we quick to adapt. Coastal Built Construction did an amazing job on our home in Wilmington. My husband and I had a vision of many different things that we wanted to do with the older home we bought and Johnny made them all a reality. We have a home and a pool house that needed work to be done and everything that we wanted to improved on these homes came out better than expected. During construction we lived about 2 hours away so weekly we would drive to meet Johnny and his crew and see the progress as they worked on both homes. Not only did they exceed our expectations in all of the projects on the list but did them on a timely manner. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work that was done in our homes. I hired Coastal Built Construction to replace my deck and convert my screen porch into a 4 season room. I was very happy with John Munn(owner) He was accessible and helped me with my decisions to get the look I wanted. John(lead carpenter) did a great job even working in freezing temps and rain. His workmanship was top notch.The other sub contractors did a good job. I would definitely hire the company again.
