advanced glassworks

We had four windows with broken seals so that moisture ran down between the panes of glass. I called Advanced Glassworks, a company that I had used three years ago, to come and give an estimate. Our sun room gets sun most of the day, and previously we had other windows with broken seals. The windows were measured and ordered and installation occurred within a week. We couldn't be more pleased!

He returned when the tiling was completed for final measurements and was very helpful in our decision making regarding height and clamps. The glass came in two weeks and Scott and his assistant installed the glass in a couple hours; frame ess with two brushed nickel clamps on both sides. Looks wonderful. I'm hoping a door will not be necessary, and so far that has been the case, but if I do decide to add a door, I will definitely get back in touch with Scott. I would highly recommend Scott and Advanced Glass work.

The first windshield was installed and looked absolutely horrible. NONE of the trim around the glass fit appropriately. I had to press the molding down several times to prevent it from flying off the car. I called AAA and complained. Advanced sent out the same guys to install another windshield. One of them even admitted to me that the first windshield was installed too low. After completion of the second windshield, I went outside to check on their work. The windshield looked installed properly,however, there was black caulk/adhesive on several places on the exterior. One of the guys began spraying glass cleaner on my paint and wiped firmly with a paper towel. I asked him to not wipe my car with the cleaner and paper towel. He looked at me blankly and disagreed/argued at me while he continued wiping and spraying my paint. I was at work,in a parking lot, and did not want to make a scene. Very uncomfortable for me. After I got off work and got into my car, I noticed black adhesive in my seat and on several places on my interior headliner. The next morning...the trim had popped up from around the glass....AGAIN! I called AAA and complained. The owner then called me and started asking questions. His tone was matter of fact and belittling. He informed me that the cost of the windshield did not include the cost of the replacement clips that were possibly broken, but he would pay for them "out of my pocket". I complained about the guy that wiped my car after I asked him to stop. The owner stated that it "wouldn't hurt anything" and that his guy has been doing this for 15 years. Once again, I was at work when the guy...yes...the same one that wiped my car with glass cleaner called. I was unable to take the call, and I was not expecting him that day. Originally I was told that the parts would have to be picked up and that I would be scheduled a time. By the time I got outside, he was gone. The part is STILL broken. I called Advanced myself and spoke to one of their employees. He actually assisted the "other"guy with the installs. I explained to him that the part was still broken. He explained that the "other"guy already showed up and "fixed" it. He said that he would let the owner know and someone will call me back. No one called back. The part is still broken. Not to mention just how much time and frustration I delt with while cleaning the adhesive inside and out. The quality is shoddy and the service was challenging at my place of work. I would NOT recommend this business.

The windows work wonderfully and I would certainly call this company again for window glass replacement!
