Description of Work: He added space to an isting structure. However, he spent ALL of the funds long before the place was finished. He told me that I would have a nice bathroom with a garden tub; walk in closet and we would design. He sub=contracted jobs out for the space and did not pay for the work by those contractors.............electric, heat unit. The bathroom is a tiny little space big enough to shower in. He used the cheapest materials he could find but charged me as if he were using items like American Standard. He was given funds to purchase materials (outside of contract) and the materials are now needing repair. I believe that would indicate that the materials were NOT new!!! When I purchased materials that were suppose to be included in the contract, he did not reduce the price of the contract to reflect. I feel he wronged me and overcharged me for the work. The original cost was $49,000.00. Yes, I did add some work but Mr. Mitchell overcharged me. For example, he charged me 10,000.00 to paint four rooms. Yes, the rooms were in dire need as my mother was a smoker. He painted some finishing strips one color and left some in same room another. He built and screened in a porch and the screen door was broken within three months......he put old rusty hooks on the door for locking; not new ones. He also had to return for some repair that the inspector required (not sure what that was).
