It went well in the beginning getting the quote and the promise of all included in the price. The date was set for the install and it went as scheduled after the install I was told they were going to drop some filters off and an inspector would be coming thru. Well I have not seen an inspector nor do I expect to, and I have contacted them 3 times about my filters to no avail. They got my money and that was the end of my service I suppose. I dont know if an inspection was even set up just said it to include in the price. Very upset with the follow up procedures very unprofessional. I believe you don't make promises you dont intend to keep.

Marty came out the same day I called after my A/C wouldn't turn on. He checked the outdoor unit and determined that there was something wrong with the indoor air handler. He went into the crawlspace and determined a circuit breaker was dead. He jerry-rigged a temporary solution so I would have A/C for at least a short time. He then came back the next day and replaced the circuit breaker. The entire transaction went smoothly. I doubt the price he gave me for the part was accurate, but the total cost for the repair was acceptable and around what I expected. I'll probably use Service Pros again if anything comes up. If it's not during a hot/cold wave, I'll probably get estimates from other HVAC specialists though.

I placed a call to ServicePro due to the fact that my Heat had stopped working in my home at around 3AM. Marty came out to service my unit and immediately discovered the problem. I was given the Angie's List rate since that is where I found contact information for the company. I was suprised at how quickly Service Pro and Marty responded to my call. I placed the call around 8:30 am and Marty arrived at 12:45pm. Marty was knowledgeable and very professional. I informed him that he did not need to wear the shoe coverings and he stated that he treats every home like his own. Wonderful attitude and great customer service! Turned out that the wiiring connecting the thermostat was not working properly. For some unknown reason my AC was coming on when the Heat should have been working. Nevertheless the wiring was switched and I am a warm and happy customer!

That service turned out good. One technician came out and did an inspection of the HVAC unit. He adjusted some vents inside the home. He was very responsive and did a good job. He was very nice and told me if I had any problems I could call him back. He was polite and personable.

Last evening I discovered that my HVAC was not circulating cool air. Furthermore, I did not hear the outside fan turning. My 11 year old Ruud has a reset button, which I used to restart the fan. This did nothing to change the temperature, so the house remained 80 all night. I had used Service Pros before, when the contactor for my HVAC system needed replacement. I sent an email explaining the problem...and received a call that the technician would be at my home within the hour. On my way home, the technician called again and told me my fan needed to be replaced. I told him to go ahead and he had the fan installed within 2 hours (which included drive time to pick the fan up). The freon level was as good as the day the Ruud was installed, so he told me the system was in good working order. I appreciate the speed of service and the courtesy to which I was treated. The technician answered my questions as he worked and gave me the discount from his website. I will certainly continue to contact Service Pros for HVAC problems and for an eventual replacement.

We just purchased a home, walked in the door and the thermostat had no power. After realizing we could not fix it we called a different company that couldn't check it out for a week. That was a blessing! Gave Marty a call at Service Pro and he was there within a few hours. He called before he met us at the house and was right on time. He figured out the problem quickly and it was a quick broken part fix that he had on him. He also showed my husband everything he was doing and gave us a few helpful tips. He also went above and beyond in making sure each and every system component was up to par without to trying to sell us something we did not need. Very down to earth and great at what he does! Will be using for all of our HVAC needs!!!

In 2013, we had Service Pros install a new, RUDD AC/Heat Pump unit. We had another Trane AC unit that had been installed the year before by another company. I was not positive if the RUDD unit was as good as a Trane, but Marty of Service Pros provided us some literature and said we would be happy with the unit. A year has passed and we must say we are completely satisfied with both the unit and service provided by Service Pros. Marty has been out twice to clean and service the unit. Under the 1 year warranty, he not only took care of the RUDD unit, but also serviced the Trane unit as well. He is prompt, courteous and goes the extra mile to make sure the system is working at its optimum. We were so impressed by how efficient he was that we did not renew our prior service contract with another provided and are going with Service Pros for this year. We should mention that we have a pool heater that was having some problems. Though Marty does not normally service these types of units, he took the time to inspect the heater and checked out the unit. We hope that anyone reading this review will try out Service Pros for your heating/AC units. We think you will be more than happy with the service.

Marty was very thorough, courteous and professional. He performs the preventive maintenance twice a year on the contract price quoted above. The last 2 visits he correctly identified the source of 2 different problems. We were not even aware of one of the problems. He graciously wrote a description of the problem and the part needing replacement each time for me to hand to our warranty company for the actual repair. He was more interested in helping us get our HVAC fixed than making more money off the repairs as demonstrated by his desire to aid us in getting the repairs done through another service provider that was in our warranty contract. I am very happy with the quality and overall service from Marty at Service Pros.

The only problem with the service was that they had to use a huge blow furnace to dry out my crawl space. It was during the week of 90 degree temperatures. I understand that they had to use the furnace but when it malfunctioned they didn't get it going again as I thought they would so that on the coolest day of the week it wasn't going. Other than this the service was very good.

This is a follow up review of Service Pros. Service Pros installed a new heat/AC unit this summer. So far the unit has performed perfectly and has delivered great service both in terms of cooling and heating. As part of the installation contract, Service Pros gave me a one year service agreement to come and inspect/fine tune that system. Even though I was already under another existing service contract for my other AC/heat unit, Service Pros came out and serviced (at no cost) not only the new unit, but also the other unit that was not covered by the service agreement with Service Pros. This only reinforces my first impression that Marty (the owner) and Service Pros go the extra mile to satisfy the needs of their customers. I recommend this company and hope others will try them out.

They have been extremely responsive and reasonable in providing me service. I have used them ever since. Marty is great to work with, and gives honest prices and estimates. The last thing I had done was a replacement of the burners on my propane central heater. They tried to fix it first, but they were too rusted to be reliable. They only charged me when they put in the new burners, and not for the first attempt to fix them. I will continue to use them for all my hvac needs.

Marty and his worker had originally repaired and then fully serviced my a/c unit in early summer. They did both efficiently, cost-effectively and with full "English" explanations to my questions. At that time I had signed-up for the bi-yearly servicing contract for both my a/c and heating units. Today Marty and helper (sorry I forget the young man's name) came and per contract serviced my heating unit. One small part was nearing its age limit, and after giving me the price, I approved the replacement. As per contract, I received 15 per cent off the part price and was not charged for anything more then my pre-paid contract. I signed-up for next year without hesitation (see above for contract price). Also, I have referred Service Pros to neighbors in emergency situations and they are so please,d they have now switched their bi-yearly contracts to Marty's company. Good Job, Marty!

-They offered to come out the day I called, but I was unable to meet them. We arranged for the following morning. -They called to let me know that they would be a little late. I appreciated that. -They set to work immediately..One set the thermostat so that they could identify the issue and the other was outside at the unit. -They showed me a worn out part and replaced it on the spot. -They arranged the baffles in the unit so that the airflow, which has never been balanced, flowed better throughout the house. -I will call on them when this unit needs to be replaced I searched Anglieslist for a business which sold and serviced with RUUD units. Both men were polite and professional. Could never have found them without Anglieslist.

Marty Bush, Service Pro’s and everyone involved in the installation of my new central air unit, furnace and duct work were extremely friendly and made the whole purchase and installation experience as easy as one could hope for. When Marty came over to provide a quote he listened to what our current situation was regarding our central air, window units, furnace and duct work, and what our goals were. The quote I received at first sight seemed competitive, but when I looked at various Consumers Report reviews of the hardware Marty was offering me compared to the other quotes I received, it was clear he was offering a much better product. With the quote he offered pricing with and without dual zone controls, though he recommended the zone control option without being pushy in any way. Now that the system is installed and working, I’m so glad I took his advice. Given other projects that were underway at my home I asked Marty last minute if I could finance part of the job. He offered to come over the next day, which was a Saturday, to bring me the application. True to his word he was at my door at the agreed upon time, and then followed up with a call a couple of days later to tell me I was approved and he would begin work on the following Monday as we had originally agreed. I decided after talking with Marty that I was comfortable with going with a 13 SEER 3-Ton unit to balance cost and efficiency. The new CA is silent compared to my previous unit both within the house and when outside standing next to it, and it cools so quickly it’s insane. Set to auto I wouldn’t know that the unit was on if it weren’t for the sheer curtains that are located above a vent fluttering a little, it’s that silent. Service Pros were very conscientious when entering my home. They wore shoe covers or removed their shoes all together each time they entered, and always explained what they were doing and why. When I asked questions along the way they were always polite and willing to take the time to answer them. In the end I not only received a quality HVAC solution but I have a better understanding of how my original systems worked, and how the new ones function differently and why. In the end I’m extremely happy with the whole process and an installation that took just two days. All of my goals were met for a price that I’m happy with and by a company that I have complete confidence in. No matter what HVAC work you’re looking to get done, Service Pro’s really do deserve a call. Their pricing and the quality of their product will earn your business, but being customer service driven I think will earn your loyalty. Hazen Weber

Last week, my 14 year old HVAC system failed. A technician from my regular AC company came out and said the compressor had to be replaced. Due to the high cost of R22 and the age of the HVAC system, I decided to purchase a new one. I obtained three quotes: I went on Angie's List and selected three contractors. A Trane representative gave me a quote of $6,800 for a 15 SEER unit. My AC company (who happened to be listed on Angie's List) gave me a quote of $5,800 for a Carrier and $6,500 for a Trane. The third contractor I contacted was Service Pros. The owner of the company, Marty, arrived on time on Thursday and inspected the old HVAC system and agreed that it should be replaced. He cited a Consumer Reports article that indicated that Ruud was a top rated HVAC system. He then offered to replace my outside unit and inside heat/exchange furnace with a 15 SEER Ruud model that was comparable to the Trane and Carrier units that I had been shown. The total price for the installed work and equipment including a new programmable thermostat was $4,600 (this includes $300 for an extended 10 year parts and labor warranty). Because it has a 15 SEER rating, the Ruud unit qualifies for the tax credit for 2013. He initially indicated that he could install the unit on Monday, but when I stated that I had out-of-town guests coming, he said he would adjust his other appointments and do the work Friday if he were selected. After he left, I reviewed a variety of sources to see whether the Trane or Carrier units were really any superior to the Rudd being offered by Service Pros. Frankly, most of the reviews I read stated that Trane was overpriced for the value received. I also read similar comments about the Carrier units. I contacted Marty that evening and he came out the next day. His assistant called first and then came promptly at 8:30 a.m. and started disassembling the unit the attic. When Marty came at 9:00 a.m., they worked non-stop until the HVAC system was up and running at 4:30 p.m. Both Marty and his assistant were polite, courteous and were careful to keep the carpets and house clean while going up and down the stairs. They also cleaned up and removed all debris. The next day, Marty returned and left the paperwork for the permit inspection. He also filed all of the warranty information for an extended 10 year parts and labor warranty that Ruud offered on their unit. On Monday, the town inspector came by and approved the unit. I must admit that this is the first time I have used Angie's list to obtain a contractor. I read the reviews of the three contractors and found that the comments about Service Pros and the owner, Marty, were accurate. He is a conscientious, hard-working individual who took the extra effort to satisfy this customer. Only time will tell whether the Ruud unit measures up to a similar, but more expensive Trane or Carrier unit, but so far, the unit works fine. I look forward to having him replace my current AC servicer when my current service contract expires.

Mr. Bush came and evaluated what type of unit would meet the needs of my home. He provided a Consumer Report article about a RUUD unit. Marty returned the next day promptly and worked diligently with his colleague to replace the unit. He worked from 9 am to 230 pm with a short lunch break. As the president of my homeowners' association, I am willingly going to recommend Service Pros for other homes which may need to have their AC units replaced.

He and his associate came out on time and completed 90% of the work the first day and came out the next - as promised - and finished it up within the 2 hours they said they would have it done. All is well in our household now!
Description of Work: We had a smell coming from our vents and it was determined that we had water that had entered into the ducts and was stagnating. This smell would come into the house whenever we would use the AC or heater but not all the time. Marty came out and quoted us a price to replace all our duct work PLUS mentioned a special deal that Progress was offering on a rebate that put another $200 in our pocket. Marty was VERY professional and just plain a nice guy with an excellent work ethic!

After calling several companies, and getting either no response or an offer to come look at my system a week from then, I called Service Pros. Marty called me back in less than five minutes, and offered to come out that day. I could not leave work, so I asked him if the following day would be alright. He agreed. The next morning, I called him again to set up a time and he told me he could be to my house in 45 minutes. He and a colleague showed up right on time, and was holding booties to put on over his shoes to come into my house. He checked out the thermostat panel, went around back to look at the A/C unit, then crawled under the house to look at the equipment there. After about ten minutes, I hear the A/C click on. It turns out that the house was built in such a way that the condenser under the house doesn't always drain properly, and if it fills up with water, it will trip the switch. It was not a hard thing to fix, and I was grateful that I would be getting out with only spending a service fee. But when I tried to pay him, Marty wouldn't take any money -- he said that "all I really did was push a button" and said he would not feel right charging me. He gave me a couple of cards and just asked that if I ever had problems in the future, to please contact him. I definitely will!!
