The installation process was a mess. We were told that an installer would call in 24 hours to arrange getting the dishwasher put in. Thiis was on a Tuesday morning. On Friday I called Lowes to ask why we had not been contacted. I was told oh they should get to you this weekend, call Monday if they do not. I expressed my unhappiness at this but decided to wait. On Monday I called to say the installer had not called and Lowes needed to come pick up the dishwasher as I felt a week without a call was unacceptable, they said it would be at least a day before they could make the arrangements. I told them it would be in the driveway waiting for them as I was not going to wait around. A very short tmie later I got a call saying a new installer would handle getting the dishwasher in and that I would be contacted in " a short time" hours later, no call. I called Lowes again quite angry this time and said just come get the machine. 5 minutes after I hung up t,he new installer called, very apologetic and came after hours to do the install for me. This outift was fine and they did a good job, however a full 8 days with not effort on Lowes part to solve the problem capped it for me. I will not buy anything that requires an installation from Lowes again.
Description of Work: Installed a dishwasher. This was done by an outfit that subcontracts to Lowes.

We used them because they are convenient. They have what we want. If I bought a stovetop from them, their people came out and installed it, if I wanted them to. Now they have a central system that I have to go through. It’s just a matter of time they get a new system in place. As far as their product, we have been very happy. Occasionally we run into somebody who knows what they are talking about otherwise they are not working. My experience was most convenient.

The people have been awesome in terms of returning phone calls. I bought an appliance that I wasn't satisfied with and they were able to exchange it. They were excellent! The people that have come out for measurements and installation have been very prompt and professional. They have met and even exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: I am remodeling my kitchen. I've installed new flooring, cabinets, lights, countertops, and appliances and Lowe's has helped me with everything.

Of four appliances for a new kitchen, the fridge and range were delivered and put in place even though they had serious damage that was not discovered by us until after the delivery people left. The range damage was hidden in the back and found by a contractor. We will not make any more major purchases at Lowe's.

Eventually we cancelled the enitre transaction and asked for our money to be refunded. We went to the store twice just to be able to find someone who could place an order on what seems to be one of the worst software packages devised by man. We thought that the second time we had it, paid for it and agreed as to an installation and delivery date. On the date of delivery, after not hearing from anyone on a delivery time, I called multiple times attempting to find someone who could tell me a time which, when I got an answer, was to be between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. At 2:30 pm, having heard nothing I tried to call a number given to us as being the delivery person's phone number. No one every answered. At 3:00 pm I finally had a delivery person pick up the phone only to tell me he was at least an hour away and was not going to install the dishwasher, only and quot;drop it offand quot;. He advised calling a manger to find out about installation which I did. After 5 unanswered phone calls I finally go a manager who then said he could find nothing on the sheet that said we had paid for installation at which point I said I would just like my money back. They have agreed to this and needless to say we will NEVER try for any other apppliance sale at this store.

They are prompt, call before they come. We live in a rural area about 15 miles from the store and they are great about delivering. In 2 years we have purchased many major appliances from them and have been happy with their service. The staff in the store are always helpful.
Description of Work: Our last major purchase from Lowe's of Weaverville was a wall oven. It was delivered on time. It was a special order and they gave a rebate and a discount that occurred after I had paid for mine.

They were very professional and the estimates were accurate. They were quite thorough and did a wonderful job. They were not the absolute lowest in price but they were very competitive and did an excellent job.

They did a good job. They were reasonable. They took the old one out and disposed it off for me. They were respectful to my home. They communicated well with me. The guy who came out, his name was Chris. He was really nice. My dogs liked him, and he liked them.

We purchased our Whirlpool refrigerator as well as a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, but I wouldn't recommend that brand but Lowes has attempted to fix the problem in the beginning. Our refrigerator wasn't cooling correctly after installation, so Lowe's brought us back an upgrade at no extra charge the very next day.

They were punctual and complete. The person who came to give me the quote was on top of everything. I went ahead with another service provider who had more recommendations on Angie's List as I felt more comfortable with them.

First, Mike Bruscia of Lowe's is excellent! I contacted 4 contractors or providers for replacing shingles on a 15 square (100 ft per square) roof. Sears was the highest and a private contractor was the lowest - about $700 lower than Lowe's. From the very start, Mike took an interest in the job. He visited the house with me and discussed options. He took measurements and notes and then a day or so later gave me a quote. I had a number of questions pertaining to leaks I had and the need for the roof to withstand the ice and snow buildup over the winter. Mike reviewed all of these with me. When I received the first quote, I noted a price for a ridge vent, which is customary for most homes, but not for mine as there was no airspace under the roof. I discussed that with Mike and we mutually decided it was not needed and he removed the price for that line item. I had other concerns, enough so that Mike arranged to for me to meet the subcontractors at the house who would actually be doing the work. We went over all my concerns and both Lawrence Ponder and his foreman, Ferman (sp?) and discussed what would be done. [As a side recommendation both Lawrence and Ferman seemed interested in discussing options with me and were focused on the job, not just selling the job. They did well.] I was satisfied they understood my concerns and knew what they would do. After all the details were completed, Mike obtained two discounts for me. One was 5% by paying all at once rather than finance through Lowe's. The other was to his credit. He noticed that there was a store special of $500 for a period of time on a roof replacement. I would not have seen this, but he brought it to me and it was reflected on the final quote. Mike kept me apprised of the job start and completion dates and progress during the job. The job was to have been done within 3 days of signing, but there were some weather and scheduling issues in starting and completion. The final job was complete within 11 days of signing as I recall. The delay over my first expectation was all right with me and all went well. The sealing of the chimney was not part of the contract as that does not fall within Lowe's product offering. But Mike was able to facilitate an agreement with Lawrence to get this done. This was important to me as when they were working on the roof, they would have all the ladders and material to do the job and I would not have to make a new arrangement to get the job done. It went well. The new gutter installed by Lowe's also went up well. During the negotiations and completion, I think Mike made two visits to my place of work so that I would not have to take time away from my work day. I have got to say that I am very happy with Lowe's in general, but with Mike Bruscia of the Weaverville office in particular. It is his care and attention to the details and making sure the job got done right that is invaluable. Whatever I spent over the lowest bid was well worth it. The contractor was excellent, but Mike made the deal. Go to Weaverville Lowe's and ask for Mike if you have something to do. I will.

Since the job was fairly big (the other quotes were $12K, $11k, and $13K), I was pleased I could defer interest for 6 months. The contractor that was working for them - was punctual and forthright. They worked diligently and with respect for my property. I had a concern about some minor things (there appeared to be a few tiles "lifting" and there was a piece of debri stuff on the roof), and they (Bullets Construction) came up and cleaned it up, no problem. We had a scare with rain, and we had a downpour just at the end of the project, and they scrambled up and covered the top of the roof with the vents to make sure there was no rain damage...and finished just as a huge thunderclap hit. I would highly recommend them. Mike Brucia (salesperson) was terrific; Bullets (I'd also recommend them independently) was excellent. There are many roofers in town and the "top" ones charge for their name. Believe me. I shopped this job for 2 years and the pricing just went up, up and up with as many excuses as months between quotes.
Description of Work: I called many roofing companies in the area. Lowe's came up for a small fee, which was rebated at the end of the job, gave me an estimate about 15-20% lower then the "Best" roofers in town, quoted the high end, architectural shingles, Owens vs GAF, but I was fine with that, and since it was Lowe's, I was able to put on a project card, at a very low interest rate, offset interest for 6 months, and pay as I could, lowering the total amount, but not adding interest to the deal until after the 6 months.
