HOWARD HEATING AND COOLING INC

I smelled gas and Howard responded saying it was a serious situation. He, with soap bubbles found a small leak in a line and repaired it. However, he failed to check further, especially the furnace which we found had a bigger and more serious (and possibly lethal) leak. In the weeks and months after Howard's repair, I kept smelling gas. Howard told my husband that it was not a leak, he had fixed it and what I supposedly was smelling was exhaust from the furnace washing back into the house. However, we had been experiencing physical symptoms, such as migraines, nausea, loss of appetite and an increase in my 2 daughter's asthma symptoms, still with the strong gas smell. I finally called the Gas company who did a real pressurized gas challenge and found the furnace had a large gas valve leak and the gas had been pushed up through the house via the blowers, affecting all the bedrooms. Needless to say we are very upset that the real leak was missed and we have endured months of propane poisoning of our family, not to mention having to pay for a very high gas bill for several months (due to the leak) and paying for the Gas co, and then another heating contractor to repair the leak that had been there all along. We are just praying our children will not suffer any residual damage from the propane exposure over the extended period and in such high concentrations.
