Darrell focused on the basic repair, avoided making the job bigger than necessary, graded and seeded the repaired area, and left a clean work area. I am always a bit nervous about using someone I don't know, especially since I am an absentee owner, but Darrell did what he promised for a reasonable price. Very trustworthy. Thank you, Darrell!
Description of Work: Excavated and replaced a section of 24-inch storm drainage pipe that had collapsed. Filled the large sinkhole that had resulted and regraded the area.

This guy is goooood! First of all, his estimate was way less than half another estimate. I had to wait a week or so because he had a lot of jobs lined up, but isn't that the kind of person you want to hire? He knows his business, high energy guy. Fair, reasonable, honest, skilled. That about sums it up!
Description of Work: Graded then graveled my driveway.

Mr. Burnette came to my home and spent time providing a detailed estimate of the project, the material which would be used, the costs (separated) between material costs and hiss labor costs, as well as when the job would be started and completed. He arrived the next day - on time and prepared. He has excellent equipment, and provided me with a level, graded gravel pad. It was a superb job, done in a shorter period of time estimated, and under the estimated budget. He took time to ensure the job was done well, cleaned up after himself, and used his helper (his nephew) well. It was a real pleasure to work with a professional who delivered exactly as he had promised. Overall - an outstanding job.
Description of Work: Mr. Burnette leveled a difficult area on our lot, and installed a gravel pad on which we will be installing a large 12X16 outbuilding.

After 3 years of trying to figure out a way to fix a large sink hole in my backyard, I finally decided to check out Angie's List and find someone with a good reputation. Signed up, logged in, and after doing a quick search, found Darrell. I called and Darrell came out the same day to quote my job. Very kind, honest, and helpful. I picked up very quickly that this was a man of his word. After providing me with two great ideas about how we might go about completing the job, I opted for one that seemed to make sense to the both of us. The job was a big one. It involved climbing into a cold, wet culvert, forming a new concrete bottom surface for water to run over into a box that would handle the drainage. Then he would have to incorporate concrete sides into the box that had deteriorated and raise the level of the culvert drainage inlet. He would then have to bring large rocks from a local quarry to frame the base for the concrete and allow for drainage, add a special kind of fabric that would stop soil and other elements from seeping into the drain, and ultimately cover it all with dirt, seed the dirt, and cover it with hay for regrowth. Big job. I called late in the afternoon to confirm that I wanted him to come do the job, and he was already diligently working the next morning! Darrell did a great job, in cold morning conditions, and was upbeat and earnest through it all. Will definitely call him again for more work.

We had problems with our septic system and it was determined that a new drain field and septic tank was needed. Darryl came out and marked out a drain field to meet with the county guidelines in our area. Once we got the approval from the county, he and his crew dug out the area and placed the septic tank, junction boxes, pipes and the correct amount of gravel. After the last inspection, he covered the area with the dirt from the excavation, and regraded the entire area. He listened to our concerns throughout the whole process and made sure we were never without the use of our in house plumbing by coordinating the septic clean-out and plumber to connect us to the new system. He and his crew were very professional. They worked hard to ensure the job was done properly to code and to our satisfaction. A great experience overall. I recommend the highly.
Description of Work: Darryl and his crew excavated the area for the new drain field and septic tank. Laid in tons of gravel, then the septic tank, pipes and junction boxes. He and his helpers then regraded the entire area.

My husband called Darrell because the septic tank had water around it and the plumbing in the house was not draining well and was bubbling. He came out when he said he would and assessed the situation. We talked about a new drain field which would have cost thousands. He dug out around the septic tank and noticed the outflow pipe was not connected. Since, it was late in the evening and he did not have the parts, he said he would come back the next day to fix it. He came the next day and attached the new pipes the the old. He filled in all of the dirt and raked the dirt off the grass. It was cold outside. It was nasty smelling. It was wet and muddy. Yet he stayed and did a very good job. We would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: He attached new pipe to bridge the distance between the drain field pipe and the septic tank.
