John the service tech was very responsive, professional and fixed our issue. My wife and I just moved in the day before and the AC went out on a Sat Night. I called first thing Sunday morning and John had up and running my noon.

I bought a condo and a week later the heat pump conked out, in the middle of having workers in there doing renovations, in the hottest week of the year so far. It was intolerable. I called several places, and they were booked up. Aire Serv said they could send somebody the next day--and they did. He fixed the problem, explained exactly what was wrong, showed me other things that were on the verge of causing more trouble, and set up a return visit to get those taken care of. I was impressed enough that I signed up for their twice-yearly maintenance program. I have no idea how their prices compare to others, because I went with the first company that could respond quickly--and under the circumstances I was happy to get them, whatever the cost.

They were so good, that I agreed to an annual contract with them. Their staff is knowledgeable and responsive. They helped me work through some preventative issues and made sure to correct a small issue I had. Their good will and customer service was very impressive.

They did the inspection and told my son the capacitor/booster were under spec and needed upgrading. So they charged $800 to replace two $15 parts to little time to replace.

The Tech was very informative, checked everything, and confirmed installation was done correctly by builder, although it was too cold to inspect the Air Con, which I will have done in warmer weather. The Tech called and arrived on time, was neat and efficient, and careful with my home.

THE GOOD: The technician with Aire Serve did a wonderful job. He was very professional and very thorough in his review. He found three parts that were bad and needed to be replaced because they were not functioning fully. He cleaned up the unit and it runs more quietly now. I am quite happy about his inspection and tune up of our system. THE BAD: The total repair estimate for those three parts, two of which were already pulled out, was over $700 with tax (two capacitors and a contactor). I declined the repair and he put the old parts back in (he was a really nice guy and I hated to do that to him). I contacted a local parts store and was able to get the parts for less than $75. Seeing that two out of three parts were already pulled from the system, Aire Serve was charging over $600 in labor for a job that would have only taken an extra 10-20 minutes of his time. I would have been more than happy to give them the job if they had been reasonable. Unfortunately, I now have to find someone who is reasonably priced to put the new parts in.

Darrick and Daron came out as arranged. As shipping of the unit components wasn't optimal, the guys went to Fletcher to pick up the unit from the shipping company's dock. It was hot this day already in the upper 80's when the guys arrived. Quick introductions and they were on the job. Since there were no copper lines to replace or duct work the install was simple talking about 4hrs. They worked without breaks until the system was pumping down. Did I mention it was hot?! The guys went to a local gas station to cool off - they worked hard to get the system in and earned a break in my book. The XP21 is much larger than the old Lennox Merit unit it replaced. A six blade low speed fan pulls the air through the unit and it's very quiet. The old unit was almost as loud as a lawn mower - in the master bedroom that was quite a jolt in the middle of the night...not any more. Darrick and Daron cleaned up before they left. Just like all the other employees I have met - polite, good workers, all smiles...what more could I ask. The new thermostat is the top of the line Dave Lennox signature series. WiFi capable so one can monitor or change settings while away. Multiple settings for day and night to keep the house comfortable. So far in the heat, the unit has been wonderful. I call in the afternoon and they were able to get to me within the same day. They are available 24/7 and they charge the same rate in the evening and weekends as they do the day. I was quoted the price and ask if I wanted to continue with the work before they work was started. The service guy knew what he was doing and was very professional. He explained everything in detail and made sure I understood what was being fixed. Was able to use my credit card to pay for the work which helped because we did not have the cash on hand. Left me their business card for future contact. Will be using them again and letting my friends know.

So I got my furnace manual out that came with the furnace and go the gas valve part number. I did a google search and I got about five different places that gave me a price. 250.00 for the gas valve. So that means they are charging about 500 dollars to install the gas valve.

The man who came out checked our system and made some recommendations on replacing our radiator valves and thermostat, venting our current (old) furnace, or replacing our current furnace with a more efficient model. It was helpful and he was very professional and answered all of my questions. We have not yet decided what upgrades to make to our heating system, and will definitely get additional quotes when we do - the prices he quoted for the radiator valves and thermostat seemed very high.

Banks Mechanical Heating & Cooling is the company our service contract is with. They had come out in July last year. Part of their service contract is having the heating and cooling system cleaned and reviewed. They sent Aire Serv to come out and do that. The overall experience was excellent. They did very well. The guy was prompt and he explained everything to me. He appears to have done a good job.

The worker that showed up was a very gentle and professional person. He did clean up after himself well. It only took him 30 minutes to finish. When I was talking to him, I got the feeling that he was very knowledgeable in his field and that he knew exactly what he was doing. The price that I was charged did include the part.
