WCPD exceeded our expectations. They accepted the job when no one else would. They communicated with us about the scope. They gave us options on how to charge the job and did everything they said they would.

I paid $155 to Western Carolina Plumbing and they did not fix my problem. When I called the company that installed my septic system, he came over the next day and spent a lot of time researching whether settling of the septic tank caused the blockage. Although the tank had settled 1 inch, there is a 4 inch drop from the main line to the tank, so this did not cause the problem. It was a simple block in the line. The septic guy had to spend a lot of time driving to borrow a snake from a plumber and when he snaked the line, he was able to clear it. Western Carolina Plumbing should have done the plumber's solution first, i.e., snake the line. It would have saved me a lot of time and expense. When I called the owner of Western Carolina Plumbing, David, he said that Steve told him that he offered to snake the line and I said "no." That is not true. He did not suggest opening the knockout and snaking the line. Instead, he wanted to dig a trench and drill holes in it. At no time did he offer snaking the line as a solution. He spoke with such authority, I trusted him. He was wrong. When I asked David to consider refunding my money, he argued with me and said that someone is lying and it is either Steve or me and that he wanted to come to my house and dig up the septic tank covers again. I told him I did not want anyone digging up my yard again. He hung up on me. He was very rude and unprofessional and wanted me to "prove" that I was telling the truth. I would never use this company again. The owner basically called me a "liar." Western Carolina Plumbing cost me a lot of money and did not solve my problem, but left me with a mess. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: There was a block in my main line. I had house guests and the toilets were not flushing. When I called, Steve, their technician was prompt and responsive. He spoke with authority that he thought it was a problem with my septic system and not a problem with the main line. Instead of snaking the main line, which is what I asked him to do, he spent a lot of time digging up holes in my yard and removing my septic tank covers. He concluded that my plumbing problem was caused by settling of the septic tank, and not a problem with the line. Instead of offering to clear the line through the knock-out which is in the garage, he was looking for an outdoor knockout and since there wasn't one, he suggested that he dig a trench and drill holes in the line to temporarily allow the water to drain. I said "no" that I did not want to spend money on such a temporary fix. I think he was trying to avoid opening the knockout and snaking the line from there because it is located in the garage and would be messy. He tried calling someone to come and pump the tank so he could snake the line from that direction, but no one was available. I am glad, because that would have cost me additional unnecessary expenses. The problem was in the main line and not the septic tank.

Went great. They came out in a few hours, swapped the valve out, sweating the pipe, and checking it. About an hour of work.
