Guy looked young, but knew what he was doing!

Went to this group when Haywood Appliance totally disregarded the appointment times. Serviceman arrived within 15 minutes of planned appointment - knew the problem immediately - ordered part and fix within three days!

We called them back when we didn't hear from them. When I called they said they would check on it. They didn't follow through. We had to call back. They said Whirlpool said the part wouldn't be available until February 22. We called Whirlpool to confirm. We've been one month without a refrigerator. Basically they've done nothing including not bother to call or come back.

Have a refrigerator that was 2 months older than one year warranty. It quit cooling in the refrigerator section on a Friday so we called the appliance store that we had bought it from and they said it would be 5 days before they could get to it. I asked what to do in the meantime and they told me to get an ice chest to keep all our food in! This is a store where we spent a lot of money furnishing a complete new house 14 months ago. We were really upset at this so joined Angie's List and found Century. Called them and they had someone in the area who was at our house in 15 minutes. They determined the problem and ordered a part which took a week to come in. However, they told us what the problem was and that we could shut the unit down, wait several hours and it should be okay for awhile. We did this and it ran fine until the day the part arrived and it went out again. Century called, notified us of the part being in, and replaced the part. They also mentioned that we may look at putting surge protectors on our major appliances because of all the electrical components these days. We could not be more pleased with the way Century took care of us, and will definitely call them in the future with any issues we have.

Very frustrating that they did not have a way to accurately measure and adjust the oven temperature. The installation of the expensive control board was just a guess. When it was installed, they did not measure the temperature and it was way off. I had to make adjustments myself.

I called first thing (7:45 am) and the phone was answered promptly and I was transferred to someone who does repairs in my county (Jackson; they are located in Waynesville in Haywood County). Century does work for Lowes of Sylva, but will not work on Cullowhee Mtn. They told me to contact Lowes of Franklin who also do work in my area. They said they don't know who does the work for them so I would need to call and talk to them. I'm disappointed because Century Appliance was highly recommended by a couple of different people. At least they gave me an option to try.

Came same day. Fixed quickly. Reasonable charge.
