Due to our work schedule it was not easy to find time to be there for the first inspection if Stronghold of the job we wanted done. I was able to make a diagram and email this to Lori. George came out and did the quote. Comparing to another similar quote, but not quite the same in what we wanted their quote was very economical and in our budget. I was able to meet with George on a second visit where we discussed the details. He understood what I wanted. We were not in a big rush for the addition so their busy schedule worked fine by us. After more thought we had originaly thought we wanted to move the back gate to another location and told George this at the final meeting before construction. Also we were thinking we would do removal of the back part of the fence ourselves to save money, but George did give us a quote for removal at the last meeting and told us to call Lori and let her know if we decided to have them do the removal. We decided to let them do the removal as well as almost at the "eleventh" hour to make a modifcation and add an additional gate to the expansion. I called Lori and went over the details she gave me the new price which was still in our budget and when I came home on completion day I was more than pleased at the new addition! It was better than expected. It is always good when someone exceeds your expections!

This is the 2nd time we've worked with Stronghold Fence and we are extremely happy with the service and product. Lori and Charlie are a pleasure to work with - they are very responsive and professional. When we did the first fence we had estimates from a few other companies highly rated on Angie's List, and Stronghold's price was right in line with or lower than the other companies. They were able to install the fence within a couple of weeks of my first call. Overall I had a great experience with Stronghold Fence and I would definitely use them again.

Outstanding experience! Charlie was on time, professional and finished the job with exceptional workmanship. Lori, his wife, was in constant communication every step of the way and took care of all the small details (call before you dig, HOA, etc). I highly recommend them.

Strongholds price was almost exactly the same as another company but what set them apart was their responsiveness and followup. They showed interest in wanting our business where we didn't really feel that way with the other company. When installing the fence they had to navigate some pretty tight spaces but they were able to get it done in one day and it looks great.

Overall, it went VERY well! Stronghold's estimate was considerably lower than a major home improvement chain's estimate and Stronghold's start time was far faster than estimated by the competitor! The project started sooner than I would have expected and was completed to my GREAT satisfaction within 1.5 days. Materials are as expected; workmanship superior. My neighbor came by, saw the new installation and asked me how much it was going to cost him (as his wife LOVES the look ... they, too, have a tired split rail fence)! Even my dogs seem to like this fence better!

They worked well with the customer giving multiple plans. We talked about several ways to do it. They worked with me a month or two to get it right and they installed it professionally and quickly.

On time. Did the work right the first time. Response to an issue handled immediately. Highly recommend.

I spent about $1200 on that service. They came out when they said they would. They weren’t able to place it exactly where I wanted it, but it wasn’t their fault and was just the landscape. The quality of the fence was great and their workers got the job done within a day and a half. They took care of the permits needed for my homeowners association and all those kind of requirements. They were friendly to work with. I thought that the pricing was fair. I got one other quote and I think that they were in the ballpark of what I was expecting. I never dealt with them, my husband did, and I never heard him complain about them. I would use them again if in needed to.

They were very good and they actually did a survey that nobody else did and found out that our property line was further in than we thought it was. We would have had to move the fence if we went with some other company, so it was actually very good that they did the survey correctly.

I contacted Strong hold fence for an estimate because they were recommended by our builder and many of our neighbors had used them. Charlie came out himself to do the estimate. He is very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions for they type of fence that would work best for our needs. Lori called us with the quote, and their price was very competitive compared to other quotes we received. We were also happy because Stronghold was able to install our fence on the exact day that we needed it. They arrived in the morning and finished installing our fence in one day. Our yard is very uneven and one of our main concerns was that we needed the entire fence to be close to the ground so our dogs would not be able escape under it. Charlie and his crew did a fantastic job following the uneven ground, and our fence is close to the ground the all the way around. They even ordered a special gate that slopes with the land. Our fence came out perfectly. Thank Lori and Charlie for exceeding our expectations and for providing excellent customer service!

Excellent. Due to the excessive rain in Charlotte, Lori called and kept me up to date as to when they would arrive to do the work. I especially wanted to be home when the work was performed due to a new gate being constructed on my fence line. Charlie and Eric arrived on time and were very professional in their work. Initially Charlie was expected to install a 4 foot gate, but I was hesitant to install such a large gate considering the location on the front of our property. We discussed our options and agreed to move the newly installed gate post for a smaller gate. Charlie had to get a few more supplies to accomodate my request and only charged for the additional fence materials. I appreciated all his suggestions in the gate location and design. That's exactly what I was looking for in a fence company - knowledge and expertise as well as craftsmanship.

Eveything went well, but the price was high. We decided to shop around as a result.

Estimator did not show for appointment. Received a call belatedly concerning broken augur and the claim that rescheduling warning had been left on the wrong voice mail. Estimator arrived on time for the second appointment and was very helpful. Estimator spent two hours with us and our neighbors discussing dates, timing and combinations. Contract arrived three days later and was turned around with a check for 50%. Throughout telephone and in-person conversations with both owners, the necessity for immediacy was emphasized by me. Our travel plans depended upon the erection of the fence by 08/25/11. I settled for 08/15/11 and hoped for an earlier cancellation date replacement by having rushed my check. I could have delayed payment until 08/14/11. I was concerned for the second date of installation, 08/16/11, because I would be in Chicago for the day. I worried about having to pay the rest of the bill without having seen the final product[Stronghold was touchy about money up front and payment upon completion] I was unable to reach Stronghold the week before 08/15/11 to discuss some issues. The recorded message indicated they might be on vacation. I left several messages and sent emails. Stronghold did not show up 08/15/11. They called me from Hawaii on or about 08/16/11 denying any promises to perform the job 08/15, 08/16. Mrs. Gatuso on this telephone call and an earlier phone call gave the impression that THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG! I can appreciate that Mrs. Gatuso believed her own words. However, she did little to avoid an adversarial relationship. I had already stopped payment on the check. But, Mrs. Gatuso kept her word and returned my original check. I did not need a check for Action Fence since Action Fence does not expect payment until completion of a standard project. Read my comments about Action Fence to learn what a wonderful experience they provided for us.

Called and the husband came out and gave an estimate and I then called a few other companies. While waiting on other estimates received plenty call backs for status and Lorie seemed eager to do business. After much thought I decided to go with them because they seemed responsive and ready. the husband assured it could be done in a single day, and they were willing to work on Saturdays so we figured maybe 2 days. Well we sent the downpayment and scheduled the appt. A week before the appt, received a call stating the weather may not allow them to come out as they had to move other jobs back, and I countered that she gave the wrong date and with a week to go, I hope they hadn't booked that tight! They would miss a deadline for sure! A day before the scheduled work to start, received a call that materials were behind and there was no estimate from the manufacture on when they would be in. I expressed concern and she offered to give me the suppliers number so I can call them (of course that wouldn't help things move faster and she expressed this happens often with this supplier) I wondered why they continue to use them, but waited patiently... After a few days of back and forth she finally had materials but again the weather was an issue. A few more days of back and forth and they show up and install posts. 2 days later the fence was installed and looked beautiful! It was perfect. My issue is they never knocked on the door to say they were done and get feedback from us (they knew we were home too!). The final payment was ready for them to take when they left, but they left without a peep, and not even leaving a few business cards to share with other neighbors. She called the next day for final payment and I asked about business cards and she said they would mail them, but they did not. Business must be good. Overall they do great work and I like that the fence is close to the ground even on the incline in the backyard and Lorie worke with our HOA, which was good too. Just need a tad bit better customer service and follow up for feedback.

We have a big back yard that has 4 sides as it is a strange shape. Last year Stronghold replaced one side as it was rotting and falling over. This time it was the next portion. Initially the fence stakes had just been put in the earth. Stronghold puts cement in each hole before placing the stake in there to stop the stakes rotting so fast over time. Anyway they were on time with quoting and to start the job. I was happy with the way they performed their work. The fence looks great, and we will have them back next year to do the next section.

Charlie arrived early for the estimate. There was a lot of rain during the period leading up to our job, and Stronghold kept us well-informed regarding weather delays and worked with our schedules as well. Every post was cemented in place (only select posts had been cemented by the previous installer, and they hand-dug every post hole because our utility lines are so close to the property line. There were some challenges locating the property lines, but Charlie remained calm and professional. He and his crew obviously have high pride in their workmanship, and Charlie wanted us to be satisfied with the work. If we need additional work done in the future, we will call Stronghold.

Excellent experience with Charlie and his crew. They arrived on time, did exactly what was discussed and prior to starting double check the layout to ensure everything was correct. Also they added a couple of extra things to make sure the job was just what we needed. Plus the fence looks great.

It was a great experience. They arrived on schedule, were professional and polite and did a great job. What more can I say.

We used Stronghold Fence before at our last home. That fence is still in perfect condition after several years have passed since installation. When we moved to a new home and needed a fence we called Stronghold immediately. Lori and Charlie are easy to work with and work to make sure the customer is satisfied. We adjusted the original plan so Charlie had to come out for a second visit to be sure the footage was correct. The quoted amount was reasonable and it did not change throughout the project. Charlie and his guys completed the job in two days, in 95 degree heat I might add. We couldn't be more satisfied. The fence looks beautiful, my dog is happy and I am happy because I can confine my kids to the backyard. Once again Stronghold Fence did not disappoint. They will continue to be our "go to" company for fencing needs. I repeatedly recommend them to everyone I speak to about fence needs.

Stronghold Fence Inc. was so good that my nephew is using them now. They did a terrific job. They were very nice. Their prices are very reasonable. They fit us in their schedule even though they were booked the entire month.

I loved working with Stronghold Fence throughout the entire process. They were very responsive to phone calls, showed up on time for estimations and work, and were very knowledgeable about all aspects of putting the fencing into my somewhat terrain. They were very courteous at all times, and always respected my neighbor's yard as they installed the fence. The fence itself looks great! They used good materials (the type of nails make a difference!), kept clean lines, and measured the gap between every slat to ensure they were even. They were also very understanding of last-minute changes I had to make to appease my neighbors, and implemented them perfectly. If you are looking for a quality fence and professional service, I would highly recommend Stronghold.

Lori & Charlie were great to work with! There was a bit of confusion with paperwork & our HOA, but once it was all cleared up they had the fence installed in a day! They were reasonably priced & extremely neat! My husband, myself & our dogs are very pleased!!!!!

We were very impressed with Charlie and his company. We liked working with a small company where the people who own the company are the ones who come to do the work. We would highly recommend them and would use them again as the need arises.

I chose them to do the work because they had the best price quote. They were willing to kind of contact my HOA and get approval and do all that for me which was awesome. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.
