Ken and Vicki are a pleasure to work with. They are very punctual, professional, and trustworthy. Ken gave a detail quote that broke out each piece of hardware with cost and labor. The job was done in a timely manner and only took one day. They are respectful of your home as well as cleaning up and removing all of the old fixtures. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Oh, my gosh. The kind of old-fashioned service we long for. 1- Pricing was detailed and understandable. 2- Demonstrated all available door knob colors and styles. We picked an obscure one, which we love. 3- Showed up on time and delivered. 4- Everything was done as-agreed-upon and on-time with courteous and professional style. This project was the cherry-on-top to our painting project. As a real estate agent, I understand the importance of updated to "Modern Hardware" from the outdated brass hardware.

Modern Hardware is outstanding. The estimate was right on the money. He came in, got the work done. It's very high-quality work. Total clean up when he is done. He is extraordinary. It's just fantastic. He gives a very fair price. I'll use him for anything I can use him for.

Was very professional and patient since i had a 2 year old who kept trying to see what he was doing. Was on time and did the job quickly. It looks great. Will be using him again later this year to finish out some other doors. Love how it looks would definately recommend them.

Ken is very professional and trustworthy. He did a very good job for us and although he was busy and thought it would be a month out before he could complete the install, I asked if he could at least do the 3 keyed entries sooner since we had just moved into a new house and still using the previous owner's keys. Ken was very understanding and came out within a day to install the 3 keyed entries first. We were very appreciative. It was a deal on Angie's List that we had purchased and we found that it was well worth the money.

Ken came out to the house with a selection of hardware. He was up front with me around the cost vs. quality of the different choices. He detailed every piece of hardware that needed to be replaced. He was very thorough, and you could see how he came up with the price. Ken came out with someone else to replace everything. They were both very professional. We are happy with the new hardware, and I would recommend them.

Modern Hardware and Décor was fantastic. My experience overall was wonderful. He’s very polite. We kind have a few left on the special and he decreased the price. He just kind of worked with us. We purchased a Fixer-upper, we didn’t need the front door but we have a few other doors and he worked with getting it done. It was very pleasant.

We could not be more pleased with the process and the outcome. It was exactly what we were looking for. Ken responded to my emails quickly. We setup a date to review hardware choices and to inventory our doors. The evening following the hardware review, Ken sent us an estimate as promised. We agreed to an install date and time. They showed up on time and were done in several hours. They were very professional, cleaned up and they even adjusted doors that we're sticking before they arrived.

Ken was very professional, timely and knowledgable. He worked meticulously and cleaned up everything. He was able to determine the finish we needed to order, so that it would match the doorknobs which had already been replaced with an updated satin nickel finish. He gave input on using door stops based on the different door configurations - some at the baseboard, some extending from the door hinge itself. He worked to make sure all the doors opened/closed fluidly and took extra time on the entrance doors. He walked me through inspecting every door when he was finished and all was good. The only minor delay was that the product was on backorder, so the install lagged the estimate by a few weeks but Ken promptly called us when he received the materials to schedule an install. He was here for a full day and I even felt comfortable leaving him here alone for a short period. ALso, the manufacturer sent one item in the incorrect finish. Ken pointed this out, and asked if we wanted to re-order or install anyway. It was such a minor difference that we had him install it anyway, but was very nice that he gave me the option.

We just bought a 17 year old house and everything is amazing about it except the outdated hardware. I was nervous about picking the style and the finish to update my home. Ken Martone of Modern Hardware and Decor made it so easy. He was very patient in answering all my questions and it only took two interactions to complete the process. Ken was flexible in his schedule and on time for both appointments. He gave us a good variety of options and helped us think through the choices. We have MANY, MANY doors in our home and he changed out the hardware quickly and neatly. Ken is a complete professional with a good product, I would recommend him to anyone.

It took two approximately two days to complete the work. Ken had perfect communication, follow-up and was very professional. I had shopped around and found them to have very competitive prices. He takes his work very seriously and is more reliable and responsive than your average contractor. If he were a full-time contractor I would use him for everything.

It took two installers about a day to complete the job. They were punctual and Ken was great to deal with. They had a good selection of fixture to choose from and I would recommend their services to others.

I contacted Ken Martone, owner and he "answers his phone". I had brass plated hardware, finish was coming off, and I wanted to update it. We set up an appointment and Ken responded very quickly and came out with samples for me to make a selection. It is an option to go elsewhere and buy your hardware if you prefer, however, he has boards with nice examples, and he assisted me in selecting my finish which made everything very easy. Waiting time for the order to come in was short and once received, he came out the next day with his helper and did a total installation in one day. There was a some drilling, and adjusting each door to fit, but clean up was excellent, and he was very meticulous and careful with the walls and doors. After hearing such raving compliments from my neighbors, that had used his services, I already had a lot of confidence that the job would be done right. But I would be remiss not to mention that when Ken is not installing door hardware, he is protecting his community as a firefighter. His loyalty and courage shines through for that job brighter than the door knobs. Thank you Ken, I love my new door hardware!

We are very happy with our newly updated and improved hardware! It is amazing how big of an impact such a small change can make, when it comes to updating a 10-year old home. From the beginning, Ken was very professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. Ken arrived on time for our initial appointment (to obtain estimate and select hardware). He was not pushy at all, nor did he make us feel rushed (when trying to decide on the finish and style of our hardware). Our kids were running around and he was patient amongst all of that chaos! He knew exactly which styles and colors would work best with our home and made suggestions accordingly. He also helped us with selecting our hardware based upon our lifestyle/functionality. His knowledge of the inventory of hardware available from various manufacturers was very helpful. His products are very high quality and are durable. The first appointment took about an hour and a half (we asked a lot of questions, so it probably ran longer than average). After our first appointment, we waited a few weeks before deciding. The day after our first appointment (talk about a quick turnaround!), we received a courteous follow-up e-mail and estimate. The estimate was very clear and easy to understand. In the interim, I asked a few questions, made a few changes and he e-mailed me back immediately and changes were a non-issue. I appreciated not being nagged for days and weeks after the initial appointment. Once we signed the contract, we paid the initial deposit (so that the hardware could be ordered). It took about 2-3 weeks from the contract signing to the install date. We set an install date, once the contract was signed, a few days before, Ken confirmed the appointment and arrived on time on the day of install. He arrived at 8:30am and worked diligently all day. It took him until 7:00pm to complete the job. He was very organized with his equipment, setting up and did not make any messes. He brought his own little shop vac to clean up any small shavings that may have come from installation. He did not take any lunch break or any other breaks during the entire time. Our kids, again, were running around but he was kind to them, answered their many questions and continued his work, all the while! Everything was installed with accurate detail and I was pleased, since I am very meticulous and picky about the details. I also felt that he was trustworthy and felt comfortable with him in our home. One piece was sent, in error by the manufacturer, so he will be back to install that shortly. We love how everything looks. All of the doors and locks are functional. We would highly recommend Ken Martone to others.
