I highly recommend Legacy Fence Co. After a horrendous experience with a different provider to install fencing, we were apprehensive about another fence project. Their communication was great, price was competitive, and service was exemplary. Both fencing projects exceeded our expectations. We would certainly contract with Legacy Fence Company in the future.

Honestly, this was the worst experience I have EVER had with any company I have ever dealt with. First of all, they don't put enough concrete in the fence post holes, which causes the fence to be very flimsy. My neighbor and I had both of our fences done together and he is considering digging around the fence posts and adding more concrete to stabilize it. What a pain. Secondly, and more agreegious: Pat (the owner) told me he'd give me a discount if I paid him in cash...and specified that it could not be a check. When I handed him the money, he pocketed $500 when my wife took my attention away for 30 seconds, and told me he wouldn't leave my house until he received another $500! Obviously, I didn't have another $500 on me (as I withdrew the exact amount from the bank and had given it to him) and was forced to then write him a check out of duress. On the advice of my lawyer, I canceled the check immediately after he left. Now they are attempting to put a lien on my house for the $500! Pats wife, Kendra, through a series of harassing texts, told me that Pat had a camera pen recording of the entire transaction...GREAT! I would like to see the full, un-edited footage. Unfortunately, I'm sure that was another lie though. Legacy Fence was the cheapest quote we received...but BELIEVE ME: they make it up in other ways. They will cut corners, reduce material where they can, and if that isn't enough they will brazenly steal your money. I was willing to let this go, but they keep harassing me! For your own peace of mind: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We used Legacy to remove an old fence and install a new one when we moved to our new home. Their pricing was very fair, and quality of work was excellent. The team installed the entire fence for our .25 acre yard in just a day, and even worked through some light rain. Overall, very happy we chose Legacy! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Legacy did a great job installing a fence around my backyard. The quoted price was on par with or less expensive than the quotes I received from other companies, and Legacy was able to install the fence much sooner than anyone else I spoke with. The owner was very nice, easy to deal with, and accommodated my special requests without any issue. Overall, a great job!

I have used Legacy Fence to install fences at a few different properties for me. They have installed the fence at my personal house, as well as a few rental properties. Every time we need a fence, they are prompt, professional, and get the job done. We haven't had any issues with any of the fences that they have installed, and have been very happy with their services.

The crew installed the fence in one day and installed it while it rained. Other than having to clean up mud tracked onto the driveway and ladscaping they did a good job.

It was fine and good. They're just great.

Crew arrived about 30 minutes early, which was fine. Immediately went to work setting out tools, concrete, fence poles and string line equipment. Ran their string lines, one measured the other struck a mark on the ground, dug a hole and went to the next one. These guys never stopped except for lunch. Next, they set the poles, made sure they were correct height and level. Set and stretched the chain link, then worked on the aluminum. Then they set about cleaning up the area. They really did a great job.

Pat and his team are great. They did a great job installing a double picket aluminum fence at our new home. The materials were excellent quality.

Materials and crew were there when quoted. Quality work on time. Will have them back to do some deck work in the spring. I would highly recommend. Pat is easy to work with and trustworthy.

I contacted three well known fence installers to install a fence in the rear yard of our new home. Legacy had by far the cheapest price. Upon further investigation including Angie's List reviews, NC BBB rating & contacting provided referrals we hired Legacy to install our fence. Work was completed in about two days & both the workmanship & fence quality were exemplary. We are are very happy with our new fence. We noticed, however, several days after completion that two bushes had been removed during the install and not replanted. As a result both bushes died. I contacted Kendra @ Legacy of the issue. She immediately offered to replace the bushes free of charge. Needless to say we were very impressed with our experience with Legacy & will use them in the future. **As a side note, one of the companies we requested an estimate from called the day we had Legacy doing the install to ask if we were ready for them to do the install of the fence. This company was charging over $3000 more for the exact same fence. When I indicated we had gone with another company that was $3000 cheaper she said "I wish you would have given us a chance to revise our quote." So according to them they didn't give me their best price to begin with? No thanks, that's not how you do business. The first price should be your best price, period.

The fence looks great and is very sturdy. There was a minor problem with one of the gates being scrathed, which Pat took care of right away by ordering a new gate and replacing it. Their price was very competitive. I would recommend Pat Lucas and Legacy fence to anyone looking for an aluminum fence installation.

Good to work with - the owner is very professional. The first time they installed it was very poor workmanship - the fence was not straight and did not match the wall. The owner had to come back out and once it saw it he agreed and they redid the entire thing again.

Legacy Fence built a Pergola for me that was so inferior in material and construction that I had it torn down and refused to pay for it.

I asked for a quote on both ramps and fencing. An estimator came out, measured, and promised to get back to me in a couple of days. When I had no quote a week later, I called and was told the estimate was "almost complete" and they would mail it out promptly. I'm still waiting--no quote. Guess they didn't want the business; they might have told me without wasting my time. UPDATE: I received one phone message from Pat in which he said the quote had been emailed to me. Since I did not receive it, obviously they have the wrong address (though my email is so unque that any errors one might make in it would surely cause an error message.) I called and left my email address again. The woman who answered the phone said she would call to be sure I received it. I will update further when I do. UPDATE: There was an issue that they would not show me a drawing for the ramp, saying they would have to charge me $150 to see it, apparently because they had another provider draw it up. This was not explained to me prior to the estimate, and given that the estimated cost for the work was around $7000, I was not going to contract for work that I could not visually approve, nor, once the five-turn design was described to me, did I want to pay $150, since that design did not sound acceptable to me. However, after a discussion, it became obvious to me that the folks at Legacy are very professional and knowledgeable, but their communication methods wouldn't allow me to work with them comfortably. In other words, this wasn't a good fit.

We had a great experience with Legacy. Pat came out to give an estimate, had it to emailed to me very quickly and once we were able to have the work done they were here one week later. They showed up on time and got everything done in one day. The fence looks great and Pat followed up with us to see if we were happy with the finished product. I would definitely recommend them.

They were the best priced and did a very good job. They built the pergola gate from a picture I saw online. It's impressive how his carpenter just looked at the picture and made it happen. I'd use them again in a minute (my review is over a year late--but we are still enjoying their work!)

From a distance you would think it was beautiful but up close it was shoddy workmanship. Lag wood screws were showing plus the wood was split were they tried to drill in the hinges for the gate. Bolts are still crooked after they came out to fix it. And now they re-cut the gate and it is worse off than it was before. Great price but I guess you get what you pay for. Or in this case what you don't pay for. I would ask him to come out and fix it again but I'm afraid of what else will happen. Who would want to keep telling someone there is a problem over and over and still get the same result. The reason they were told they got paid is to keep from arguing with them.

Pat, the owner, gave the lowest of three estimates. When I submitted the signed contract he said we'd be informed when the project was put on his schedule. We never were. Instead, 10 days later a crew showed up in early morning to install the fence. They spoke no English, and had only a vague idea where the fence was to be placed. They got someone on the phone at Legacy who asked me to provide them with a lot diagram. They went to work. About 45 minutes later, the owner arrived. Brusque, in a hurry, no "good-morning" or "how-are-you" or "sorry-I'm-late," seemingly irritated that my project was interfering with his busy day, he at least allowed me, in the ten minutes he spared, to specify where I wanted the gates to be positioned. The two installers finished and left around 3:30pm. So far, a few days later, we have not had a visit from anyone at Legacy to inspect the work, or a call to see if I'm satisfied with it, just an emailed invoice. Perhaps they will respond once they see this criticism, which I emailed to them. I AM satisfied with the work, except for one thing: on one of the two gates, they placed the latch on the outside. Otherwise it was exceptionally good work. They left nothing undone. The grunts get an A; the officers--not so much. You see, like doctors, contractors should also have a good bedside manner.

Crew showed up promptly at 8:00 and worked all day until completion. I was very pleased with Legacy as they met the required installation date on a short notice. They did everything they said they would do. Very happy with the results and would recommend them.

Pat came out quickly, was very professional, and had a quote over to us in under a day. Their price was right were we wanted to be and the only reason we did not choose them for our install is that a friend recommended another company that was slightly cheaper. We have seen their work around Waxhaw and find it to be outstanding. None of the people we talked to had any complaints and they offer one year craftsmanship warranty.

I was very pleased. They were able to squeeze me in and get the job done in one day. The materials were great.

I had such a great experience with this company! Not only were they professional, but their pricing was great and they worked with me to fit the fence into my budget. My fence was completed on time and looks wonderful. This company was $200 cheaper then Carolina Wood Fence.

Pat from Legacy was very friendly and professional; we walked the perimeter of my property and he explained the entire installation process and what to expect. The fence was installed in one day, looks great and is very sturdy. I had a very tight budget to work with for having a fence installed within my HOA requirements and Legacy met my budget. Very pleased with the price and quality.
