Description of Work: I ordered an Angies list special for 3 rooms of painting for $250. Ray came out to look at the rooms and to give me a quote for adding on ceilings and trim for all 3 rooms. After we chose our colors we were able to get the painting scheduled very quickly. Ray came on time both days and was done in just under 1.5 days - even with a trip out for more paint. All 3 rooms look amazing and we've gotten a ton of compliments. The painting was great quality! Ray cleaned up in between each room as he moved throughout the house and cleaned up at the end of each day. I will use Green Apple Painting for our next paint job.

Description of Work: I called to set up appointment for a quote on painting a very large bathroom. I left a message with his wife for him to call me. He did not return my call, so a couple days later i called him again. She said he has been very busy but we could set up an appointment for him to come out to look at the job and provide a quote. He came as scheduled and promised to send me an email that evening with a quote. I never did recieve it nor did i receive a call with any explanation. He disappeared completely, and I did not follow up again, as i decided if this is the way he runs his business, i prefer not to even work with someone like that.

Description of Work: If I could give a better score than A, I would. The entire experience was wonderful and I could not be more pleased with Ray's work. He gave an accurate estimate, picked up the paint at a discount for us, took great care in prepping the area, and cleaned up after the work was complete. He is a great down to earth guy and absolute professional. I would highly recommend him!

 + -1 moreFrom the start, Green Apple was extremely responsive and professional. I requested several changes to the bid and they were turned around within 24 hrs. Ray arrived on-time, was organized and prepared. He explained everything clearly and answered any questions that I had. Both the staining/sealing and the faux finish were professionally done and the results were beautiful. We were extremely pleased and would not hesitate to hire Green Apple or recommend them to friends and family.
Description of Work: Stain and seal new oak trim on bay window; paint living room & ceiling with faux suede finish paint.

 + -1 moreEvie kept us informed of the scheduling situation and was a joy to work with. The project took eleven days of hard work. What a great job Ray and his team did! Also, Ray has artistic talent and can help you choose the right color. We almost made a big mistake with the color, but he saved us and the color is just right.Ray is dependable, responsible, polite, patient, attentive to details, thorough, reasonable, competent and personable. Surprises?? It was a more difficult job than anticipated, buy Ray?did not complain. Advice?? He's good and good contractors are in demand, so call him early.? What a relief to have the house done and done right!
Description of Work: We had an unusual situation. Our architect specified the laborious way that our redwood siding should be stripped, neutralized, cleaned, primed and stained. Ray was the 13th painter we interviewed. Others never responded or just wanted to power wash and do it the easiest way. Then I joined Angie's List and found Ray. He read the specifications and used the right products and procedures to clean the house, prime and stain it.

 + -1 moreEverything went well. We closed on the house and called Ray to let him know. He had ordered the paint thru a home improvement store (although he has an account with Sherwin Williams, he was OK to work w/it) and went and started that afternoon. He was done in three days! So pleased!
Description of Work: Ray and his helper painted every room save our laundry room in our new home. The accent walls in the bedroom and family room were done well and the edging perfect.

Description of Work: Ray prepped and painted the kitchen cabinets; bathroom vanities and wall cabinets. The doors were removed, taken off site to be sprayed, returned and re-installed. He also sanded, primed and painted the interior windows and entry door. Further, he did minor drywall repairs and painted the garage interior walls and ceiling.

 + 0 moreThe job consisted of two coats on all previously painted surfaces as well as painting the exposed foundation wall. He taped off and covered the (new) windows, doors and light fixtures; tarped landscape materials in close range; protected the deck/pergola and removed the downspouts for painting. Ray cleans up daily and leaves it as he found it. The punch list consisted of one missed edge on a door frame which he returned and corrected, promptly.
Description of Work: Ray carefully prepped and painted the entire exterior of my house, including a temporary repair of a rotted joist. This involved a complete color change from dark to light (which met with rave reviews from the neighbors) and painting new garage and entry doors. Ray is a one man show. He's fair, cooperative, diligent, detail oriented, thorough and personable. His wife, Evie, runs the office and is conscientious and delightful.
