Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club

As a former member of this private for-profit, non-profit status, club, I can say with 9 years of experience that I could never recommend this club to anyone. They have known safety issues, poor management, run down facilities and are escaping taxes to their exclusive, private club by claiming to be a "social welfare" organization. Once a good club, but in the last decade it has deteriorated and become such a hazard to the community that it really should move to a safer location. The main complaint in my opinion is the unsafe xenophobic membership and management. It is the best shooting range of the 1940's. As to safety, we all know guns are dangerous when handled improperly. This club is in a very developed area, with houses only yards from the shooting range property lines and multiple schools easily within distance of any bullets leaving the range property. The management is fully aware of lost rounds, bullet strikes in the -partially- baffled range baffles (don't know why they never finished that safety feature) and even that a cannonball that narrowly missed a neighbor cutting the grass in his back yard. There have even been gunshot wounds on the property. Yikes! I cannot recommend this business for the sake of their neighbors safety. BTW, I don't know who put the first review on this business under Septic Tanks, but the irony is stark.
