ALLIGOOD CABINETS

Alligood's cabinet's visited, measured and assured us the cabinet would be built and be ready in a month or so. After not hearing from them for over a month, we followed up, and were told that he had been out sick, but it was nearly ready. Called back again a few weeks later, and was told the cabinets were being painted. Our follow up continued for several MONTHS, and we had to inititiate every follow up call - Alligood's never called us to let us know what the status was. After five months of follow up and multiple excuses, we gave up. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. I recognize our project was not that big, but if they weren't interested in doing it, they should have told us at the outset. TERRIBLE customer service and never were able to see the end result, so perhaps they're quality was good - but we'll never know! Steer clear of these folks!

The cabinets did not match the ones removed in size (drawer sizes wrong, compartment sizes wrong, flimsy shelves) and worst of all, the cabinets were stained 2 shades DARKER than the existing upper cabinets. And they had pieces of the old cabinets available to match. Because the stain was darker, he agreed to refinish the upper cabinets to match. The refinishing job was terrible. And the other issues with the cabinets were corrected. Do not consider this contractor!

They did not show up on the agreed upon date and did not call. I called the contractor, and he couldn't remember if he had even bought materials. The contractor did not supervise the workers, did an improper installation of tile, which caused additional expenses with an electrician, who fixed the problem.
