Buyer beware!!! I engaged Gallop Roofing to repair some issues with my roof that were discovered as part of a home inspection. This home is not my full-time residence, so I was not able to inspect their work once the job was finished. Since Gallop was highly recommended by my realtor, I paid them for their work once the job was finished. The invoice from Gallop specifically said that they had “walked roof and seal over any exposed or low nailed nails”. About 2 weeks later, I arrived and got onto the roof to inspect for myself. I was shocked to see so many nail heads exposed. I also noticed a water leak in 5 different areas. When I contacted Gallop roofing to come to my home as soon as possible to help repair the leak in my roof, and to re-seal the nail heads they had no sense of urgency and placed me #41 on a list. Two weeks later, when I asked how soon they would be able to come out to my home, they said that there were a number of other customers ahead of me and that I was #41 on the list. Attached are photos of the nail heads and the ensuing water damage after a rain storm. After numerous complaints, they have still refused to make things right. I would NOT consider hiring Gallop Roofing unless you are willing to get up on your roof to inspect any work that they do or if you expect their work to be done in a timely fashion.

The only reason they do not get an F is because they did send someone out to assess the roof. There is an active leak and I was told they could temporarily patch it in a few days. That was November 24th. Never again contacted by them. They have not even emailed an estimate. Called several times. First was told the estimate was emailed, then told it was not completed yet (???). The next call I was told they would send someone out to assess the roof (which someone already did on the 24th of November !) It is December 14th and I still have not been called back, nor has a temporary patch for the leak been done. Very unorganized and lack of communication. I will be going with another local roofing company. Can not recommend.

It went PERFECT... We never met in person... just a talk over the phone... I told them exactly where I wanted the gutters put... they called me back after analyzing my house... and told me their plan... we agreed... and they went right to work... they were AWESOME... I would definitely use them again and again...

Gallop is very difficult to communicate with. They promptly sent an estimate and I sent a deposit. Then I did not hear from them. I had to write to ask if they received the deposit. They said they would schedule the work. That was 10 days ago and I have not heard from them since. I hope they are better at roofing than dealing with customers.

Two workmen arrived for 45 minutes, replaced 3 missing shingles and charged $675. Office contacted and the bill reduced to $525. This is an outrageous bill for such little work. I can not recommend them to family or friends. Very disappointed

Missed a few the first time, but came back and finished. Highly Satisfied.

This review was for replacing roof shingles > 10 years ago. Gallop was fast getting the job done at a decent price. However, they damaged the existing skylights on the re installation which would occasionally leak. The skylights didn't leak prior to the roof replacement. Gallop determined the new roof didn't leak they are not responsible for skylights, only the roof, and would not correct the damage they did to the skylights. I caulked around the skylights and 'nearly' eliminated the leak but ended up with wood rot requiring a repair and new roof and skylights, done last month Of course I didn't use Gallop for that job.

Proposal was quite complete with many details and options. Devon did a great job of explaining options and recommending choices. Pricing was competitive and service was very professional. Weather interfered with scheduling, but Gallup was very good at accommodating changes when necessary. I highly recommend!

everyone was professional and did a great job/supervisor checked on the job frequently/ left the place cleaner than when they arrived/ i even saw the guy who picked up the dumpster sweep my driveway before he left

It did not go well. The email contact was all that there was between us.

The estimate was to be for roof repair to our vacation home on the Outer Banks. I told them I would be at the home for only the following four days. The employee stated that information would go in the work order and they would try to have someone come by before we left town. I never heard back from anyone. When I got back to Florida, I decided to call and see what happened. The woman I spoke with asked whether I had been told that estimates are backlogged approximately 30 days due to storm related repairs. I was not told that, and thought that a representative would make an effort to stop by before I left North Carolina. I understand backlogs, especially on the Outer Banks. It would have been perfectly acceptable to tell me up front.

They were prompt, excellent job and cleaned all debris.

The workers of Gallop Roofing & Remodeling are very punctual, they accurately found what the problems were and fixed them promptly at a very reasonable price.

Gallop roofing came out quickly and gave us an estimate in October, 2012. It was days before Hurricane Sandy. The written estimate was emailed quickly. The price offered several different options. The price was reasonable. The company was easy to work with. The estimate remained good when we decided to proceed with the work in January. We opted to have the work done in March, which was not a problem for them. The roof was completed on schedule at the price quoted. The clean up was great. We did not find any remaining debris. We contacted 5 other companies for estimates, but received no estimates from any other company. Apparently Gallop is the only one that needed our business. I would highly recommend them.

Called for an estimate on seamless gutters and downspouts 2 years ago and received promptness in coming out and giving an estimate. The sales person was professional and gave a reasonable estimate. He wrote up a full estimate with the design of where the gutters would be going. We were not able to have the gutters put up at that time but are ready now to do so. We called Gallop back for a new estimate and they sent an estimate via email adding on the insurances. Didn't send anyone out as we requested. When we called them back saying we wanted someone to personally come out, as we had some changes, they setup a time and date with another sales person. That person never showed up. We called back to see what happened and their sales person had a personal situation that needed attention and couldn't come out. No phone call was received to say they weren't coming out not did they try to set another time and date. The previous salesman we had 2 years ago lives a block from us, so we saw no reason why he couldn't take 1/2 hour of his time to give us an estimate. Instead he pushed us off onto several other estimators who never showed up. This is definitely unprofessional and also shows us how their work would be just as unreliable. I would not recommend this contractor if you want someone that will come out in a timely manner and provide reliable service. I cannot speak to their gutter product as we did not contract them to do the job.

After a recent storm, we noticed our roof was missing shingles and was leaking. We contacted someone through Craigslist and they were coming out to give an estimate. My wife said that I should call Gallop roofing because they have been here forever. Knowing that the other roofer was coming the next day, I called Gallop and left a message and explained the rush. I have not to this day received a reply from Gallop. Are they good? Wouldn't know since they never bothered to call. Good Luck.

The crew came in and professionally re shingled my house in one day. It appeared that there were inspections by other persons after the work was done.
