Pest-X Exterminating

Vicki from the Pest-X office contacted me shortly after I signed up for the discounted offering on Angie's List, and the service was scheduled for the next day. The technician (Jacob) showed up promptly at the agreed time. As I mentioned, the service was a discounted offering, but Jacob spent a lot more time than I had expected covering each area of the exterior and the full basement. He also was very good about explaining everything he was doing and what we could expect. (For example, he explained that spiders are very difficult to control, so we can expect that some of them will be back even after the treatment.) We had recently moved into the house, so I requested a quote for termite control. Jacob provided the quote, along with a detailed explanation of what would be done and what would be covered. Vicki followed up with a phone call two days later to make sure we were satisfied with the service. During the entire process, I was impressed with the professionalism exhibited by both Vicki and Jacob, and I would recommend them without reservation to anyone interested in termite, mosquito or general pest control.

It went extremely well. They've helped us with acute pest problems as well as general maintenance. We want to give a specific shout out to Crystal who is great at communicating through email and phone about services and Jimmy who did the service for us and was super friendly and cordial. Our 2 year old fell in love with him (kept asking for "more Jimmy" after he left) and Jimmy was really awesome. We look forward to continuing to work with Pest-X!

Exterior spray in yard did not set before it rained. When we called them abou this they responded quickly by coming out again and spraying. The employee was very thorough and answered all of our questions.

I found a huge paper wasp nest built under a bistro chair on my small upstairs deck. I was terrified because I'm allergic to bees and wasps. I called one company on Angies list they said it would be 2 weeks before I could get an estimate. I called PestX explained my situation to Vickie, and she sent the district manager, Jacob, out that afternoon. He had to put on a bee suit. He went on the small upstairs porch and started applying foam to the horrifying nest as the hornets began to swarm and attack him. But he swatted them off and continued to extinguish these monsters. He indicated there were between 500-750 of the Hornets. I had read that they can sting repeatedly and that 5 can kill a person. There were many larva as well, they looked similar to large maggots! They were swarming around for a while, then a tremendous downpour of rain began. After he eliminated the hornets, he knocked down wasp nest, hit a couple of carpenter bees and sprayed around the house. The cost for hornets was $150, and spraying exterior was $129. I would have taken the interior treatment that was included in price, but I had my pets in the house and was not prepared. Anyway, they saved the day, and maybe more. These hornets can kill people and pets if threatened. I agree with saving the environment, but in this case, people and animals come first. I only noticed the nest when I saw a white coating on the seat of chair, I consider myself lucky that I didn't step out to inspect what I thought was mold. Thanks for your prompt attention. I contacted Pest-X based on their Angie's list review. The office representative (Vickie) was pleasant and prompt over the phone scheduling my appointment. When the technician (J Payne) arrived on the appointed date and time and was courteous, explained what he would do to resolve the ant issue. I noticed on all the forms he had with him there were notations "*ANGIE'S LIST CUSTOMER." I immediately wondered, "What would my service experience be if I had not stated 'I found you on Angie's List.'" Based on termite inspections from previous companies, I don't believe he performed an actual "termite inspection" (he looked around the crawl space of the house without venturing to all areas of the basement/crawl space). When he entered the house to perform the ant treatment, he (the technician) struck a conversation with the female tenant that seemed a bit more flirty and inquisitive about her work, personal interests, etc. than I would have expected and really lost my confidence in professionalism. The tenant was noticeable put off by the technician and later confided that she felt uncomfortable as a result. After the service was performed, I contacted Pest-X and asked about the report that stated no termites were found. I need this for my property maintenance records. When I spoke with the representative (Vickie), I was advised that a "wood destroying insect report" was extra and would require an additional $75.00. I was very put off by this "after-the-fact" charge and voiced my displeasure when I stated on the front end exactly what I wanted when I scheduled the initial appointment. I cancelled my monthly auto charge and notified the company that their services were no longer needed. Within a day, I got a voicemail from the office manager stating they did not want to lose me as a customer and offered to waive the $75.00 wood destroying termite inspection fee. At that point, the first impression had been set and I was already done with the company. Ironically, one week later, I received a letter from the company asking me to fill out a pre-filled Angie's List review in exchange for a Starbucks gift card. Perhaps if the technician had focused less on the tenant and more on the service requested, it would have been a better experience. Ironically, I received a letter from the company within ten days asking me to complete a paper-based Angie's List review in exchange for a Starbucks gift card. This put me off even more because it underscores the focus on their Angie's List rating and less on their core service and business. However, kudos to Vickie (representative) for being the utmost professional and best part of the overall experience.

They were okay. There were no other charges other than the big deal cost of 59 dollars. It seemed like they needed to sell monthly service and we weren't interested in that so we actually ended up getting a second exterminator to come out that wasn't interested in selling that sort of service and more adequately meet our needs.

He was on time, reasonably priced, and very informative with product that was being applied. He was also very kind; courteous. We did have trouble with ants a couple weeks later, but after a quick phone call they came back out & took care of the problem.

Technician was extremely professional and friendly. Was pleased with his service and good news- it worked and my toddler is no longer getting bit all over his legs when we play outside. I signed up for continuing service. Office staff the same, a lot of follow up to make sure I was happy

The technician performed a perimeter check around our home and pointed some areas out. He went into our crawl space and searched for a carpenter ant nest based on warning signs. He located it, donned his PPE and asked me to leave, and then treated the area with a dry chemical. Once the area was safe, he showed me what he found, what he treated, and explained to me how everything worked and what to look for over the next 2 weeks. Very knowledgeable and professional.

The technician was extremely knowledgeable about the type of pests that were in our area. He performed a check on our house and property and sprayed for the pests that were common or visible. Termites and spiders were also included. I couldn't be happier with the service and Pest-X.

They seemed great. They come here on a quarterly basis. We would use them again.

Our experience with Pest-X has been great so far. We have signed a year contract with them for Pest Extermination. We have recently purchased this house and know we have a few bug and spider issues as well as field mice. All are covered under the normal yearly plan with Pest-X. The cost is very affordable. The technician who serviced our house was excellent. He was very professional and courteous. He reviewed the plan we agreed to over the phone and answered all my questions.

Arrived on time, was friendly and courteous. So far, treatments have helped our ant issue. Recommended.

Great. A little late arriving, but everything was done well.

Rob arrived right on time. He started by asking if the home had a pest issue. I responded it had not, this was primarily a preventitive activity. I then asked if the solution being used was family and pet friendly. Rob ensured me that it was. He then went and got his gear and began spraying the inside of the home. Rob was focused on his work but had a good engaging personality at the same time. Once he finished inside, Rob then sprayed around the foundation on the outside of the house. Once that was complete, Rob then did a thorough termite inspection. While providing the inspection results, Rob also offered me the opportunity to join the monthly service plan from Pest-X. Finally, Rob provided some tips on keeping the house pest free. I appreciate the punctuality and efficiency of the services that Rob provided and also enjoyed conversing with him.

Rob, the service tech, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and has great customer service. He came out to conduct a termite inspection. During the process, Rob pointed out other issues with my house. I had no idea about them and I was very appreciative that he identified them even though they were not related to the termite inspection. He showed me the issues and discussed my options. I would definitely recommend Pest X and Rob for your pest control as well as the other services that they provide.

He sprayed for ants that we had found coming in the back door. We called a couple of weeks later when ants came into the kitchen and had next day service. We have not had any more trouble with ants.

Showed up early, professional and very thorough. Everything completed as requested and would use Pest-X again in future.

Too soon yet to see how well the treatment works but everything was handled professionally, on time and as scheduled. I was able to continue my day at work while they handled everything at the house which is very nice.

misses some places such as bathroom, but returned and made everything good. I may have jumped the gun a little too soon. I regret such a negative review as I gave. Hopefully someone else will get their services and give them a better review.

He sprayed the corners in each room and the perimeter of the house. Knocked down any spider webs he found. On time, no issues.
