They started the job and then went to other clients' jobs -- while my job was left half finished. They were absolutely horrible to deal with. They were impossible to get a hold of and unreliable. They eventually came back and finished the job. The entire process took weeks to complete.

On Tuesday April 2, 2013, I called the office # for Southern Water Gardens because my pond pump was not working properly. The voicemail message indicated that the owner was on vacation but would be checking messages and will send a representative out in cases of emergencies. I received a call from owner Jon Kidder stating that someone would come by the house. A representative, not the owner, came to my house while no one was at home. I received a call from the owner stating that my existing pump could not be salvaged and that it was replaced with a similar pump. Also owner told me we would talk the next week after his mother was memorialized. When I arrived home, the bottom of screen of my gazebo (back porch) had been cut all the way across the bottom and the pond pump wires and plugs had been run through the cuts in the screen. When I saw this, I immediately called the office # for Southern Water Gardens and not waited until the next week and stated that the screen had been cut to run wires and this was not necessary as I have existing plugs below the porch house that should have been used. I expressed my discontent and bewilderment that a service provider would damage my property this way. I could have easily been called and asked where to plug in the wires and plugs. For someone to take the liberty to cut through the screen is unimaginable. Nowhere else on my porch is there any cuts or damage. In the past I?ve had 2 other pumps, 1 original and 1 replacement roughly about 4 years ago and no one has ever done this type of damage. I acquired a quote for the repair of the screen by a general contractor. The quote was $185. I requested that the owner of Southern Water Gardens pay for the screen repair or subtract it from the total amount of the pump installation (that still is not complete). He refused. I am flabbergasted and am now seeking restitution. I am filing this complaint so no others have to go through a similiar experience. I have pictures of the damage and voicemails available of call backs from the owner of Southern Water Gardens to further validate what happened.

Went very well - the only reason I gave them a B is we find it cost effective to do as much of this work ourselves as we can. They are there if we need them for something we cannot do because of time or complexity!

The website mentioned that they were capable of doing upgrades which is what we wanted on our system. They came out and gave us an estimate; he was very punctual. We had a few problems with it after they were here but they have been good about coming back and fixing things: everything seems to be working well now. I will use them again in the future.

Jonathan is the best! We have used him several times over the years and he has always come through for us -- from answering our questions about sudden fish death to fixing plumbing problems (from other pond contractor). He is prompt, courteous, efficient, and dependable, and very knowledgeable. We wouldn't call anyone else.

He is a very prompt and courteous man. When you first call you leave a message because he's never in the office, but he does get back with you promptly. He's very good and I like him a lot.
