Excellent experience. Gave me a reasonable estimate of $150 the day I called. The next day he cut up a tree that had fallen on my back fence. The owner and the man working with him were very professional and polite. Finished the work quickly and cleaned everything up. Would use again.

I called Jose on the morning or 10/10/2015 to set up an appointment with him. He came to my house within 90 minutes to provide an estimate - so far so good. He quoted me a price that was lower than a competitor. We verbally agreed on the price and work to be done. He said it would be a two hour job. He told me his crew would come out that afternoon if it was not raining. It turned out to rain the entire afternoon. No problem there. I called him at 3:40 that afternoon to reschedule. He did not return my call. So I called him again at 9:30 AM on 10/12/2015. He shows up at my door a couple of hours later (no call first to see if I was even home). He told me his crew would be at my house that afternoon. I did not receive a call from him to let me know when they would be there and no one showed up by 3:00 PM. I called him again (do you see a pattern here?) and told him I was going to go with a competitor, even though they quoted me a higher price, due to a lack of communication/professionalism on Jose's part unless his crew showed up that afternoon. No call back from Jose or from his crew to let me know if/when they might come (see the pattern again?). His crew shows up at 4:50 that afternoon - I had given up on them by then because it would be dark before they could finish and I was in the process of calling the competitor to schedule the work when they showed up. The crew did a good job on cutting down the limbs I told them to (because it was apparent there was not great communications from Jose to his crew). HOWEVER his crew cut off a limb on the oak tree that I never asked them to and it was, in part, over my neighbor's property line. I was not outside watching them because they were cutting down limbs on the three trees simultaneously and I was concerned about the possibility of being hit by a falling limb and there was no good place I could watch them from on my property... Now comes the worst part... In the process of taking down the extra limb, my neighbor, watching from his property, saw a good sized chunk of the limb hit the top of his trailer and them swing back into the side of the trailer. My neighbor was really upset that I hadn't told them when my appointment was, such that he could have moved his trailer the night before. I couldn't do that because I had no scheduled appointment time/window from Jose as to what day and time his crew would show up. I immediately called Jose at 5:54 PM about the accident and that he needed to contact me and come over to my house immediately and review the situation with my neighbor and me. I called again at 6:01 PM and again at 6:46 PM. He DID NOT RETURN ANY OF THESE CALLS. Jose just shows up the next day - again no phone call first - at 11:15 AM. He says that his crew couldn't have possibly caused the damage. I immediately called my neighbor (now that I had his cell phone no.) and he is able to get home within 20 minutes. I told Jose that he needed to stay and to come to an agreement with a plan to resolve the issue with my neighbor and me. He stays and starts to have a heated conversation with my neighbor - I overheard the yelling and tried to calm things down. It took a few minutes, but civility returned. My neighbor requests Jose's insurance information, but he initially refuses. He does not want to involve his insurance company. Jose then asks my neighbor how much money was required to fix the dents. My neighbor did not know since he had not had the repair quoted yet. After much ado, Jose finally agrees to give my neighbor the insurance company name and shows him a picture on his cell phone that was the liability policy that is in effect. None of us could see the insurance policy number or effective dates since it was a poor quality picture and it did not show this essential information. My neighbor calls the insurance company and they tell him that Jose is currently insured and they will e-mail the policy to him. We finally all agree that my neighbor will get an estimate but will not file with his insurance company unless Jose and he cannot come to a resolution first. My neighbor gets the estimate the next day and calls Jose. Jose reluctantly agrees to pay my neighbor in cash that same day. I immediately paid Jose after this was resolved. He then questioned the amount of the check saying he thought he quoted me $100 more. I said that was not the case and Jose said OK and left. All of this could have been handled more professionally and would have not caused heated arguments and I would have given a better review and grades on this company. To Jose's credit he did pay my neighbor in cash in a very timely manner.

They did a fine job - I would definitely hire them again.

They were outstanding! I was in an extremely narrow time crunch to get this done and I called Mr. Gonzalez. As busy as they were, they were able to work me in very quickly. The price was very reasonable and the job that they did was spectacular! Brian came out the same day as my call to Mr. Gonzalez to see what I wanted to have done and gave me his professional opinion on everything. I was very impressed with his knowledge, understanding of my time crunch issue and just an overall great guy. The next day Riqui brought the team and did a fantastic job seeing that everything was done perfectly and it was. I will only use them as my tree service company in the future!

They were definitely speedy! I requested service on Angie's List in the evening, and got a call early the next morning. Brian came to my home that morning and gave me an estimate, and said they could get the job done that day! I went to work, and came home to the job done perfectly!

Brian came out promptly to do an estimate, walked the property with me and gave very useful advice without pressing to do extra work. Arranged to do the job the following week. Guys arrived promptly and worked incredibly fast. All work was done as requested, with no associated damage, and all the debris was completely cleared. Very happy with this provider, have already recommended to neighbors.

On Friday June 20th, a bad storm came through Raleigh and broke 2 Bradford pear trees in my yard in half. That evening I called Gonzalez Tree Care, and reached Jose (the owner, I expected an answering system since it was after 6 o'clock). Jose told me he would meet me on Saturday the 21st, and gave me instructions to send him my contact information. Jose called me Saturday morning, and we arranged to meet early afternoon. The trees were not an imminent threat; one tree was lying on a neighbor's fence but was stable. We set an appointment for June 25th. Jose and his crew came as expected with a crane to bring the trees from the backyard to the street, where they had a grinder. They took special care with the crane to brace it so that it would not damage my front yard. After taking the trees down, they ground the stumps of these 2 trees and an additional stump for a tree I had removed earlier. They worked very quickly, they did a good job with clean-up and I was very pleased.

The crew was very prompt and professional. Jose called me and scheduled to do the job the next day. When I pulled up I was shocked at home many people and vehicles they had to do the job. My kids enjoyed seeing the guys in the trees and loved the machine that chopped up the limbs. Jose also quoted prices for other trees we were considering getting rid of. I would both recommend AND use them in the future!

It went really well. The estimator actually got here early, did a great job of telling us what we needed and what we could skip for now. They had a crew nearby on another job, so they came right over and did the job. They were fast (!), good, and very professional - even cleaned up all the debris with a blower. You'd never know they were here! I gave a B for price because I can't honestly say if it was a good price or not, and I don't think we got our AL discount. However, everything else was an A+. We would call them again in a heartbeat!

The owner came to give the initial estimate. He was professional, honest, and gave a very reasonable estimate. When we decided to go with them scheduling a convenient time was easy and painless. On the day of the service a large team arrived with 2 trucks and they were able to get everything done in 45 mins! While they were doing their work, I noticed a lot of debris and expected to have to do some cleanup after they left, but when they were done they did a spectacular job cleaning up. Very happy with the professionalism and efficiency of this company.

The service was quick and the clean up was excellent. The river birch sit in a raised flower bed and they did a good job in removing the tree and restacking the flower bed.

My phone call to the company was promptly returned on a Friday by Brian, who handles the price estimate process. Brian and I agreed on a time on Monday of the next week for him to come and make an assessment. He arrived on time and provided me a quote and made some good suggestions regarding the work that I wanted done. On Friday Jose had his crew over shortly after 8:30 and made quick work of the project. His crew was here less than a half hour and left the site cleaned up. The whole process from my initial contact with the company to the completion of the job was handled professionally and as promised. The crew did a very good job and cleaned up before they left. And finally, the pricing for the project was extremely fair. I will most definitely use Gonzalez Tree Care on my next project.

Gonzales Tree Service cut down a tulip poplar that was hanging over our deck in the backyard. We got the quote on April 23rd and the crew arrived on the 27th. It took them less than one hour to cut down the tree and haul it away. They cleaned up the yard and did a very good job. Yes I would use them again.

I was amazed at this service. We checked other tree services, and all had minimum charges in the hundreds of dollars. All we wanted was to get a chunk of tree off our fence so that it could be repaired. We expected to have to pay a couple hundred. However, the day after I placed the ad, one of the guys called me and said he could come by and look at the tree. I am disabled and have difficulty getting outside, so he went outside and walked the perimeter of our fence and found the fallen tree. He said the job was so small he could do it right then for only $25. He got out his saw (I could hear it buzzing away), cut away the section we needed, and cut it into chunks for easy removal. (This was more than I expected.) Not only did he do this, he managed to bend the fence (chain link) back upward, because I had said we wanted to repair the fence to keep our dog from getting out. This was DEFINITELY more than expected. He also kindly left an invoice for me at the door, so that my husband could pick it up when he got home, saving me the effort of getting outside. I am so grateful for this wonderful service at such a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and we plan to use them again for all our tree service needs.

They did very good service. They have done a lot of work in the neighborhood. They did an excellent job, and they knew exactly what to do. It was excellent service. They did everything good.

Crew showed up at stated time and went to work within minutes. Super service to say the least !!! Team work at its best. No standing around, everyone worked proficiently. Limbs cut and in chipper and bobcat removing the larger sections, area cleaned like clock work. Pricing was very reasonable. We would not hesitate recommending Gonzalez Tree Service to anyone. Professional to say the least !!!

I was APPALLED at the price quoted and therefore cannot go with this company. I am having a septic system repair field installed and needed to have about 23 trees removed of various sizes removed. Mr. Gonzalez was prompt and returned my phone call within a few hours of leaving a message. We arranged for him to come out to our home the following day to get the "lay of the land" and provide an estimate. The company providing the septic install advised that I would be looking at spending about $3000-$3500 to have the trees removed. After all, they do this every day and have an idea what the cost will be. Mr. Gonzalez quoted us $10,500 to have 23 trees removed, including stumps. I was utterly shocked at this price and went no further. I thanked Mr. Gonzalez for coming out and decided to call other A rated companies. I don't know how he is going to stay in business with those kinds of prices.

They did a very professional job and did a great job cleaning up afterward. It was as if the limbs never came down in the first place.

With regard to price, they were just obnoxious. The approximate quote was $150 or $200. He came to my house almost right away within the hour after I called him. That was very professional because he was able to squeeze me in. He even offered that he could do the service the same day. But I think that he took advantage because of those two factors and overcharged. He kind of lost the job.

We did not use the service.

We had a dead tree from our neighbor's yard fall into our yard and break our fence. Jose visited our property for a free estimate and gave us a very reasonable price (we had 4 other appraisals). He and his team took care of the job very professionally and well within the time frame promised. However, what impressed us most was his attention to detail during the job as he left the site looking better than it did before. We will definitely use Gonzalez Tree care in the future, and highly recommended their services.

Excellent experience! Everything went well!

Four trucks pulled up in front of the house. Six to eight people showed. They had a human chain of people carrying parts of the tree after the wood chipper in the front yard. They got it all done very quickly. They also ground the stump down.

He was wonderful! He cleaned up so well it was as if we never knew he was there. He was professional, on time, and courteous. His workers knew what they were doing. He came on site to supervise. He was everything you would want in a service company and more.
