Regarding scheduling, the preferred service dates requested (which fell 3 weeks after purchase of the deal) were already booked so we attempted to move the cleaning up, proposing several options before the requested dates but were told this would not work. On the day of service we arrived at the scheduled time (10:15am) but no one answered the door (other workers were at the home working inside but could not locate your husband). At that time a message was left on your husband’s phone to make him aware we had arrived and to speak with him but did not receive a return call until late that afternoon. Regarding the price, an additional charge was billed per the conditions of the Angie’s List offer which stated an additional cost would apply for homes with more than 2,500 square feet. This pricing approach (square footage versus per linear foot) is used as there can be a significant difference in effort, set up, time, and equipment required associated with cleaning 100 linear feet of gutter on a 1-story home versus cleaning 100 linear feet of gutter on a 3-story home. As we discussed with you during the scheduling process the listed square footage of your home is significantly more than 2,500 and did include cleaning gutters 3 floors above grade so an additional charge was applied as specified in the offer. That being said, a discount to the additional charge was provided to you as a good faith effort to address your questions regarding Brightview’s pricing methodology.
