As usual it went well. We've been using this service since Hurricane Fran. Bobby does a great job.

Anderson came out to my house to quote me a price for removing three pine trees, several other small trees and a large vine, and trimming some branches. He got there a little late because of a traffic tie-up due to a rainstorm, but his punctuality was acceptable given the circumstances. I talked to him about which trees I should take down, and he suddenly zapped them with bright orange paint even though I had not decided whether to take them down. I didn't say anything about it at the time, but it annoyed me later because now I have to either take down those trees or scrub the paint off before I can sell the house. I told him that I needed to have the work done in the next two weeks and asked whether that were possible, and he said that he would be able to do it. He quoted me a price of $1300, which was a bit more than I wanted to spend. A week or so later, I still had not decided whether to take down the trees, when he calls me and says that he is at the house ready to do the work. I told him that I hadn't decided whether to do it yet, and he insisted that I had told him to do the work by 6/26/14, and that he had it written down. I explained to him that I had asked whether he would be able to do the work within two weeks, but that his quote was the first that I had obtained, and that he must have misunderstood. I think he probably looked at his notes later and misinterpreted the context of the date he had written down. Nonetheless, as we talked I considered having him go ahead and do the work. When he kept insisting that I told him to do the work by 6/26/14, I said that I wasn't going to argue with him about it. He said, "You're an idiot who doesn't know what he said." I replied with an expletive and hung up. His price seemed fairly reasonable, so I'll give him a 'B.' Punctuality in meeting the appointment was okay, 'C.' Professionalism was almost unbelievably bad: F Responsiveness is also an 'F' because he showed up to do the work without being contracted to do it.

Bobby Anderson brought a crew of several men along with special equipment and removed the trees in about 5 hours. There were virtually no stumps left and all the debris was cleared away. One tree was extremely close to the house but his equipment was able to lift it straight out without damaging adjacent trees. He also trimmed dead limbs off an oak at no extra charge. He was able to navigate the power, phone, and TV cables without any damage, which could have been tricky.
