A1 Installer

Robert is awesome! I cannot say enough. We moved from a new house to a 75 year old house and wanted to have our existing system just like our previous house. It definitely posed a bigger challenge. We bought the TV installation package, but knew we wanted the other installed as well, so Robert came out prior to the installation to consult on what we wanted. We asked about different options and he helped us make the right decision. He came out yesterday afternoon and hung the TV, hooked up all of the components, installed our Bose Acoustimass system (which involved wiring all over the place), and programmed the remote. I'm not saying that the last people to install our system did it all wrong, but watching TV is a whole new experience now! The system sounds like you are in the TV! The surround sound is phenomenal! Can't believe I spent that much money on this project but it is totally worth every cent.

After several hours on the phone with Time-Warner "customer service", I ended up with worse service than I had before. Ordinary network programs were so pixelated that we couldn't watch TV. Movies were taking 4+ hours to download. Web sites took minutes to load, if at all. I had had enough, so I contacted A1Installers based on reviews on Angie's List. After a pleasant conversation, we scheduled a visit. A day later, Robert called to get details on our issues so that he could bring the right parts and equipment to solve our issues in one visit. He arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. First off, he installed an additional cable outlet in our kitchen nook. Then he proceeded to explain how Time-Warner's new dual wavelength modem wasn't powerful enough to service our entire home. He turned off wi-fi on the modem and installed an external router. When he was finished, he tested our system, and we were able to download movies almost instantaneously, while streaming music on another device and searching the web on another. All at lightning speeds. We didn't even have to add a signal booster for our second floor. Every step of the way, Robert explained what he was doing and why, giving options for each change or addition. For all of this, I expected him to be here most of the day, but it all took only about 2 hours. In the end we are extremely satisfied and happy. We might even stay with Time-Warner (at least until they try to jack up our prices). The price we paid was well worth it to get the kind of service that we had expected all along. Thank you, Robert!

so So SO HAPPY! Time Warner came to my house on the 2nd of May and pretty much rendered the technology in my home useless. My husband, being technically knowledgeable was able to get things working by stringing coax cables through the hallways of our house. Everywhere I went I was stepping on or over cables! After multiple calls to Time Warner and being placed in level 2 support months ago with no follow-up support - I finally turned to Angie's list. Robert came out, arrived early, found the problems, fixed everything, AND only charged $200!!! Imagine my joy at having hallways and an office and living room that are free of cables...but still being able to use a computer and watch a television. We will definitely be saving Robert's card for the next time we move to have all of our media expertly installed!

Robert came with great ideas and listened to my 100 questions. He came up with a great solution that works well for us. Very happy and would definitely use him again. Will be scheduling a follow-up to clean up my rat's nest of ethernet connections and wiring in the office.

He did a good job and I was really happy with it. It was pretty expensive. They were professional.

He was knowledgeable, sharp, shared good advice. It is very apparent he has a lot of experience and was able to clearly explain pros and cons. I will be using him for future work as well based on this very positive initial experience. Recommended!

GREAT!!!!!!! Clean, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and honest....need I say more. He made the best recommendations on future upgrades to my system while staying on track with a reasonable budget and even better all recommendations will adapt to all future larger installs. Even if he were more expensive I would still go this route as professional service that you can rely on and you can stand by always beats the rest. Not to mention he squeezed me in his already packed schedule and with visitors in town and March Madness at it peak, this was incredibly helpful.

I was very pleased with them. I think it was like a special offer on Angie's List and they come out and service your garage door. They did a good job. It was excellent. He came in and I had a TV that needed to come off the wall so I could get the painting done and I had this tangle of wires that's been up there for years and I don't know what I needed so he untangled everything and straightened everything out, put the TV down and put it back up again. He straightened out all my computer wires. He was very fast, knew what he was doing, had no problems, very professional. I'm planning on using him again.

Robert was FANTASTIC. He was very honest and came to our house to understand what it was that we wanted. He then sent me a list of items to purchase. Scheduling installation was easy and he got the whole thing done in one day. He also programmed our remote so everything works by pushing only one button. He even offered to come back once we got a media console to put all of the separate items in the console so we didn't have to. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Rob was great. He knew exactly what he was doing. He had to make holes in the wall which created some debris but he had a vacuum and cleaned it all up. It was like he was never there. His precision and expertise is incredible. He also programmed our TV remote which was an added bonus because we had no idea how to do that. He also out prices his competitors. I would recommend A1 to anyone.

It was quality service. They knew what they were doing. I actually have already recommended them to somebody who has already used them, and we have been very happy. I compared their price out and it seemed to be fine.

He was punctual (a little early), professional and efficient and his work area was neat and clean when he left. Robert advised us on our options for an older TV and was clearly knowledgeable. By the way, he moved those TVs by himself!

Got rid of all the unnecessary wiring (a lot) and now we only have one wire from the tv to the cable. Very, very pleased.

It went well. He came on time. It ended up being more expensive than what we thought, due to us having to buy the kit from them as well. My advice is to buy the kit ahead of time. The service man offered to give advice for a sound system and any other info I would need. Turned out really good!

A technician for Direct TV messed with our home theater setup (which had nothing to do with the service he was there to perform) and ended up causing serious issues. I complained and when they offered to send out another one of their techs I said no-way,this has to be fixed by someone whom I am certain knows what he's doing and will get things right. They agreed to reimburse me. So...having previously been not merely satisfied but extremely impressed by the services of Robert Doelker of A1 Installer at our present house and at our previous house, and having enthusiastically recommended him to family and friends who thanked me profusely for having done so, I again turned to Robert. As always I was glad I did.

Robert is easily the most knowledgable and professional audio/video person we've ever had do work for us. He explained everything as he went and made sure it fit our needs every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for better results.

Rob did a great job installing TV, surround system and hiding electrical. My husband and I are very satisfied with everything, especially loving the surround sound. Highly recommend!!
