Collins Handyman and Tree Service

Horrible. My wife and I signed a “contract” for $6,900.00 to build a covered front deck on our double wide home with lattice underneath. A contract was signed for The agreed price. The day that the job was to begin, I have Michael Collins a check for $3,500.00 to purchase material. I requested an itemized list of material for my information. The contract for $ 6,900.00 would not have changed. I simply wanted a list of material to insure it was proper material. Michael and his father went down the road with the check, turned around, pulled in my driveway, The father threw the check back at me and stated he didn’t want to do the job. He stated he didn’t think he was going to get paid when I have this money allotted for this job. They obviously don’t feel they need to honor a signed contract. They are not a company to be trusted for this type of job. Two thumbs down for the handyman claim. By the way, I agreed to take the old deck down, did, and now am having to enter the back of our home.
