I liked the Angie's List ratings for this company so I called Mike. I had four bids but once you meet Mike at your site, you can tell he knows this business and that he will do a great job. They arrived with everything needed and had the posts, gate and fencing up in about three hours! At one point, when deciding how close to place the pickets, we actually took our dog outside and they took her muzzle size into account! They drilled an additional hole so that I can lock my gate from both sides! The workmanship was excellent! They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves too. Great job!

Overall I was pleased, as they did a pretty good job with the fence install, and the price I paid was lower than other estimates I received for the work. I very much agree with the Angies List review dated Feb 2009 - it is spot on to my experience. Although the work was good, the installers seemed disinterested in my input and seemed a little too preoccupied with being done quickly. If you're looking for good work at a great price, these are your guys. If you have specific input into the install (grading, placement of gates etc), I would steer clear and pay a little more for a different company.

I had four companies bid this work, and chose Carolina wood fence based on their Angie's list feedback and their low cost. I am very happy with the work. From the beginning they made the process as easy as it could be, very fast on the quote, which was very detailed. They helped with the information I needed for my HOA. And come install day, showed up on time, and had the fence installed in two hours. Couldn't believe it, I looks very nice, gates are very high quality and also look very good with the post and rail fence. I really couldn't have asked for it to go any smoother. I have told my neighbors about carolina wood fence. Thanks!

The fence turned out pretty good overall. However there are some of the details of the fence that didn't turn out quite like I wanted. For example, the rear gate, while functional, doesn't have the look that goes with the rest of the fence. The workers were a good group of guys, but they were more concerned about speed then details. For the most part they did what I asked, the price was reasonable, and they didn't make a mess.

They gave us an estimate and stuck with everything they said. They are very professional. They are responsive and they got the job done when they said it was gonna be done. I recommend them to anyone.

It was excellent! The weather delayed them one day but they were out here the following day and completed the job in about 1/2 a day. I have never wanted a split-rail fence (I always preferred slatted/picketed fences), but this looks wonderful -- and the gates are great! We previously used Carolina Wood Fence to build a fence at our old house 9 years ago. They had the best price back then (on a picket fence) and were once again the best on price this time around. Mike himself was out here with the guys and they worked straight through to finish before the rain started again. Everyone was professional, courteous and just did an excellent job!

It went extremely well. Michael provided a detailed estimate including a sketch of what everything would look like. He was the only one of the 3 people we spoke to that figured out a way to get the fence through the woods efficiently. He also went through his estimate and let us know ways we could save money (eliminating gates, changing fence type, etc.). The work was done on time and the final product looked great. Every piece was custom cut on site, rather than using pre-fabricated fence sections. This ensured there were no gaps at the bottom, and the drop from 6 foot to 4 foot looked smooth and gradual. I had expressed some concern during the estimate conversation about holes under the shed our dog might have been able to get through, but I wanted to do that work myself. Without me mentioning it again, Michael volunteered some extra chicken wire and nails that he gave me for free to take care of it with.

I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WHICH HE DID. HE CALLED THE NEXT MORNING AT 6:45 AND WOKE ME UP TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS COMING. I HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD FROM HIM AT ALL.

MEMBER WAS DISPLEASED WITH QUALITY OF FENCE AND THE SERVICE PROVIDER DIDN'T RESPOND TO HER COMPLAINT AS SHE WOULD HAVE LIKED.

NEVER RETURNED MY CALL TO QUOTE THE FENCING PROJECT.

IT'S BEEN A WEEK AGO I LEFT A MESSAGE AND HAVEN'T HEARD BACK.

HE PUT IN A PRIVACY FENCE, DID A NICE JOB, THE FENCE LOOKS GOOD. THOUGHT HE WAS A LITTLE HARD TO COMMUNICATE WITH.
