Mike assisted us in finding a fence that would meet our needs, and pass the criteria of our HOA. When his crew arrived, they were polite and courteous. They finished the job and cleaned up. I appreciate that they were able to complete the work before Christmas. It was a pleasure working with Carolina Wood Fence.

Service from Mike and the rest of Carolina Wood Fence was nothing short of amazing. We had a bunch of setbacks with the company who was installing my patio, but Mike worked with me to make sure that he got our fence scheduled right back in so that we were not left without a fence. When it came time to do the install, Mike brought a crew of 5 people to get everything marked out and the fence installed. The outcome is a beautifully installed fence and gate in my back yard. Very professional company and crew and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a fence installed.

I called Mike a week before my move to the Charlotte area. I was requesting an appointment to discuss adding a fence to a home I was going to buy the following week. Before I even arrived in Charlotte, Mike had been to my new home, measured the property and given me an estimate on cost. I couldn't have asked for quicker service. The rain put Mike behind on installation. He was so concerned about getting the fence installed before Christmas, he had his crew install my fence on Sunday! They were very professional and I am very pleased with my new fence. It is everything I hoped it would be.

I had a consultation with Mr. Spath and he was very professional and a very nice guy. My husband and I took a week or so to decide on hiring them for the job. I emailed Mr. Spath and he promptly responded stating he was out of town and would touch base when he returned. I have yet to hear from him. I guess they do not need my business. I have contacted another company and have hired them. I should not have to call and email constantly to get a company's business. If you want my business you should call me.

I contacted them and had a consultation with them 3 weeks ago. They said they could do it on the 4th of December. On December 4 I received NO call from them so I contacted them by mid afternoon and was told they wouldn't be able to get to me but said they should be able to get to me by the 5th are 6th and that they would get back to me....no call back by Mike morning on the 5th so I called them and they said they would be able to get to me on the 7th, that Saturday if it didn't rain, we had a light rain at best early but finished by 9. Surprise, surprise, I got a call from them by afternoon and they asked if they could do it on Monday, guaranteed! I knew that it wouldn't happen on Monday as it was suppose to rain all day, it actually only rained until Monday late morning, then cleared up, no call....Tuesday it was sunny all day....no word from them, so I called them at 4pm and talked to Mike (same guy I've been talking to all along) he assured me he'd call the field and see what was up...30 min go by, nothing, so I called the field myself, got transferred to Mike and now he says it's going to be either tomorrow or the next day. I understand weather sets people back and that my work was to only repair my fence but seriously, we're has customer service went? I was the one calling for updates and if he "guaranteed" he would get to me on Monday, weather permitting, wouldn't that mean at the very least he would get to me on the first sunny, weather permitting day? I have to admit, I'll probably have them still do the work since he says it will be done this week, course I probably shouldn't believe him, but we'll see.......I'll update with the quality of work if it actually happens.....

I found Mike on Angies List. Mike was a Pro from the first call we made to him. He came out to our home and walked the perimeter identifying critical spots like gates and turn points. He supplied an estimate on the spot. Once we had our property professionally surveyed we contacted Mike and gave him the green light. They delivered the material the day prior to the build exactly as Mike had told us to expect. The build day was cold with scattered rain. His crew was here on time (with Mike) and started work immediately. We re-walked the perimeter and identified a few minor adjustments and the crew (primarily retired and off duty Charlotte Area Firemen) went straight into build mode. The weather was not kind but Firemen are used to pushing through the uncomfortable situations to get the job done and that is what they did. They tackled the work and did a great job. The cold rain and digging covered everything in Carolina red clay. They were very considerate about controlling the mud splash on my yard and driveway. They finished 300+ feet of fence with two gates in less than 5 hours including cleanup. The fence looks great and I am very pleased with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend Mike and his crew to anyone looking for a professional fence installation company. Mike and his Son (Brent) were onsite (working) the entire time and kind enough to stop and answer questions whenever I walked around to check progress. These guys worked there butts off and I greatly appreciate their commitment to do a solid job. The weather was a challenge (I expected they would hold the build) but they pushed through. By the time they were done and cleaned up, you could see on their faces they had all put in a hard day?s work. The estimate was exact and the work is solid. Thanks Carolina Fence, Job well done!

On 11-09-13 Mr. Spath arrived for the initial meeting and brought with him the services necessary to get the job going (if we were to use his services). This step made the process go even quicker than I knew. He offered his recommendations for what his expertise knew was best for us. We of course wanted things that were very costly. Mr. Spath advised us of same, but also advised he would perform if we wanted. We made of choice of products. The installation was scheduled for 11-14-13. He also called and ordered the supplies needed for the job. They were being delivered on 11-12-13. The process was so smooth and easy, mainly due to Mr. Spath did everything. The supplies were delivered as stated. On the 14th Mr. Spath and his crew arrived and went right to work, completing the job in a most efficient time frame. Mr. Spath explained the entire procedure to us. He also advised us that they make the gate on site. He added that they would complete the job expeditiously. We had over 500 ft of fencing installed and they completed the job in approximately 7 to 8 hours from the time they arrived to the time they left. They cleaned up anything they did. The fence looks great and our dogs love being in the yard.

Three very nice guys showed up on time, very friendly and very nice. They were finished in about five hours. They took an existing four post down for me and cleaned up the mess before they left.

Not sure what else to say - they did a great job.

Mike was very good to deal with in the planing and contracting of the work. Brent and his crew did an outstanding job with the installation. Since part of the install went through natural areas of the yard, they encountered a couple of issues what required modifications. They came up with very creative solutions that allowed the installation to keep the look and integrity we had planned. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a fence.

Carolina Wood fence went beyond the call of duty in not only putting up the fences we agreed to do, but in ensuring / addressing some concerns of my next door neighbor. Some specifics of the great "above and beyond" work they did includes: 1) An excellent job of cleaning out 100+ feet of Ivy that we wanted to have removed (we would have understood if they just removed the Ivy to get the fence installed). 2) Putting up, at their expense, "finished" siding on both sides of the fence (estimated to cost Carolina Wood Fence around $200). They did this to keep my neighbor happy. 3) Putting "Chicken wire" up on the split rail - to help us keep our dog in the yard (we expected we would need to do that after they were done. 4) Verifying several times that I was happy with not only the work they did by how the folks doing the work acted (which was phenomenal). 5) Doing a very through job of cleaning up (wood pieces, saw dust, etc.) when they were done. In reference to their work (which was excellent): 1) All the fences are well planned and the hardware they used for the gates is well above expected quality. 2) The holes dug for the posts are deep and, as a result, I now have sturdy very fences. 3) The alignment of the fences (as viewed from the end) is perfect and the fence posts are the same height. 4) The "arcs" between the posts match. 5) The "panels: they used are of good quality. 6) Before they installed the fences, they marked all underground cables, etc. (my wife actually asked what the different colored lines were on the yard and around the driveway) 7) (I even looked at the Nails they were using to ensure they last). and they are the type that will not "push out" over time (with "ribbing" at the end). All in all, A great job, very reasonably / competitively priced, and work done by a positive / proactive vendor. Please also not that I normally like to list both the positive and negative, but do not have anything of substance to mention on the negative side. Mike Spath is a prince. He's very experienced and knows fencing like no one else. He also knows how to treat customers. He calls ahead, shows up on time, keeps an open line of communication at all times. We needed to stay within our budget and Mike had ideas on how to make that happen. Plus, he doesn't freak out if you decide make a change. Mike has put in two fences for us and both times the experience was flawless. I'm a Realtor and have recommended Mike to a number of clients and they've all loved him.

They were on time and worked very hard. They had called city of concord to mark facility and electrical Lines. They were not satisified so they called the city back to do a better job. I appreciated the extra assurance that no lines were damaged. They were done in app 4 to 5 hours Including clean up.

From start to finish I had a fantastic experience with Carolina Wood Fence. Mike was able to go look at the area and provide and estimate the same day I called and the work was done just a few days later. The cost, service and overall experience was great. I also liked that they provide a PayPal option for easy payments.

Mike was excellent to work with. He called and texted me the same day as I asked for info from Angie's List. I called him back, and he was finishing up a job and could come over in a few hours since we were on his way home. He gave me a quote that was detailed with the work to be done, and even though he was higher priced than the first quote I got, he was doing more repair. I called him back and told him to plan on doing the work. He called back with a date for the work to be done and we agreed on it. The day before the planned work, Mike called me due to the 100% threat of showers the next day. We agreed that he should look at his calendar and re-book. So he did. He and his crew came promptly and got to work. When he was done, we took a walk around and looked at the work, and he explained some things extra that he did, as well as some things that came up that couldn't have been seen at the time of the quote. I was very please to have a very well repaired fence that looked great! I would definitely use him again for any other repairs!!

It was a great experience. Price was a little high, but like everything else you get what pay for.

Quality work by a highly professional, punctual, courteous, and overall excellent service provider. Our fence needed to be installed on extremely short notice and Mike truly went above and beyond to help our family and accommodate our needs. His crew was punctual, diligent, and hard-working. Showed up when he said he would , did the job and asked me to check to make sure I was happy. cleaned up when he left. Could not have been better!

Fair. My major issue with this provider was they came and did the "work" without ever contacting us. They just showed up, replaced some boards, renailed some loose places, and left. Not professional in my view. They never called and set up an appointment, they just arrived. Apparently they thought that with our purchase of a "big deal", that was all they needed to do. NOT SO!

Couldn't have asked for anything to have gone better. Mike and his crew were highly professional, skilled, friendly and punctual. Communications from start to finish were timely and very detailed. The quality of their work was exceptional, and they cleaned up behind before leaving. I highly recommend this company.

we needed a survey and information about the placement of our fence relative to lake norman mike was very helpful in steering us in the right directions we called him several times for information and he was always pleasant and helpful the fence went up very quickly looks great! as a bonus he fixed a small problem with an existing gate would definitely recommend him to a friend

It was great and they did a good job.

Mike Spath (owner) came and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and punctual. I told him I basically needed fencing to keep my dogs in my yard and he didn't try to get me to buy more than I needed. I hired him for the job and made the appointment for the fence. He was there promptly on the day we agreed. He brought 3 of his employees and they were done in about 3 hours. The fence couldn't look better! It is very sturdy and looks great! I greatly recommend Carolina Wood Fence and would gladly do business with again in the future. An added plus, you can pay online with Paypal which is very convenient.

The fence is of good quality. The only concern I have is they dug new fence-hole posts instead of using the existing holes. They left the old holes unfilled and probably should have filled them with the dirt from the new holes. They did they work quickly.
