lawn mower repair
+ -1 moretook them our weed eater, told them the carb needs adj. they told me about a wk and $15. wk later they called us and said replaced the carb thats $80 (w/o asking us). my wife went to get it and they got attitude and threw the claim ticket at my daughter and walked off. they got home told me and I called them and they said she had an attitude and they haven't even started on our weed eater yet but it needs a new carb and it will now be at least $100. I said no and went and picked it up, bought $20 carb adj. tool set online (including shipping), googled how to, and fixed it in few mins by turning 2 screws.

Description of Work: Had alternator put on and main belt that runs the fan and engine. Was towed from I-85 southbound lane in durham, back to oxford NC (my hometown). Great follks! Awesome, quick service!

Description of Work: Riding lawnmower just quit. Thought it was the starter. Woody's picked up the lawnmower and diagnosed the problem. New starter, new blades, and pick-up and drop-off service. Took a little time to pick up (1.5 weeks), but very professional service. The mower was fixed!

+ -1 moreGood small-engine mechanics are hard to find, and I'm glad I found Woody's. A few years back, they promptly diagnosed and fixed a cracked fuel line on my new-ish Husqvarna string trimmer (no cost--under warranty). This week, when I couldn't get my Poulan chainsaw to start, they quickly got it back into top shape.
Description of Work: Tuned up chainsaw and sharpened 3 blades (one on the saw and two loose). My PoulanPro 221 (40 cc) would not start. Woody's cleaned it, tuned it, and sharpened it.
