Tar Heel Well Drilling was established in 1979. In 1984 we added irrigation and sod to our line of services. We have a customer base of over 4,000, and growing. The owner Gary N. Swain Sr. is a N.C. Certified Well Driller, Registered Pump Contractor, and Licensed Irrigation Contractor. We are North Carolina Licensed, Certified and Bonded. We have an A+ rating with the BBB. Getting the well pump fixed took a little while. They came out the first time and weren't able to fix it so they took the pump, and it wasn't until about a month later that we got it back but it was fixed even though it took long. Adding the sprinklers was a little bit easier even though they had to reschedule but once they came, their work is pretty good and now my yard is getting all the water it needed. Wished it had been done a month ago but it is done.
Description of Work: Fixed well pump that broke due to winter freeze and added a zone of irrigation sprinklers to our yard.

We are sorry it took so long on the pump problem, if we would have done as most other companies would have done they would have replaced the whole pump, at a cost of over $600.00. It would have been quicker but cost triple pump repair { $150.00). The irrigation add on was done at cost due to the delay, which was $400.00. Versus $580.00. After contacting multiple companies last fall, Mr. Swain gave us the best rate and we felt comfortable with how he presented himself. He did a great job and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work. Excellent job for an excellent price.
Description of Work: Shallow well dug and instillation of pump. Irrigation system with additional instillation of fertilization and rust removal system, for front and back yard. 24 Pallets of sod installed. Electric installed on 170 foot pier. Water faucets installed, connected to well, on 170 foot pier. Pole driven into creek beside pier, for instillation of a light source.

Everything went well. These folks arrive and go to work. Please they were referred to us when we moved to Cape Carteret.
Description of Work: Services required were to adjust sprinkler heads to cover more area and to replace heads that destroyed/disturbed by us. The company had previously installed our well, irrigation and provided landscaping. They are our go-to company for keeping the lawn in-shape.

Overall, excellent service.
Description of Work: After a call, we had two teams arrive to make the necessary adjustments and equipment switches. What's so nice is the employees and business owner are nice, understanding people. We didn't realize we had a GFI at the pump; they won't get anymore calls on that issue! Also, Tar Hill installed our well and irrigation system, and my husband made some changes that hindered the systems' performance. They did it all and reviewed how the whole irrigation sytem worked - all with smiles. What great guys.
