We hired this builder to build our first home. All was good when we sgned the contract, it's when the building started it went way wrong. the builder started changing things that weren't on the plans. He even put a window in 17 foot stairwell that was suppose to be at the landing, he put it in the middle of the stairs where it can never be reached , and told that they had read the plans wrong and it cost way to much to move it. After all this we were about 5 months in and the builder(who was in control of our draws) says we are leaving because your out of money, WHAT!!! The house is 65% done and you've burn through all of our money. We ended up having to borrow another $70,000 and complete the home ourself. I've never dealt with such a crooked person in my life. Even now we can't get him to come back anf fix problems that were down by his crew when they built the ^5% of the home, even though his contract that he drafted says he has to.. oh another good one, our outdoor hose bibs for our garden house were never hooked up. they are just holes in the side of oour house with empty water lines leading to no where. His answer is now that the walls are up we can't fix it, and the building codes doesn't require me to check those. This is coming from a custom home builder. Please check this guy out before you even talk to him
