Jeff Wood ,our inspector, performed a top notch report on my home. His attention to detail was outstanding!! He arrived early for our appointment time. He went over the details that he would be covering in his report and kept me informed throughout the whole process . He didn't stop until the job was complete. He did the most complete review of our crawlspace that I have ever seen. Please note our crawlspace is an average 18 inches high. He must have spent 45 mins crawling the entire 1100 square feet with extreme detail. After finishing the inspection, he stopped and sat down with me to answer any and all questions I had for him. His report was 56 pages long and his camera shots were so clear in the crawlspace that it seemed like I was there with him the whole time. If your looking for a honest and hardworking inspector, JEFF WOOD IS THE REAL DEAL!

I expected a complicated inspection report full of abbreviations and construction jargon that I didn't fully understand. However, I got a well laid out document complete with annotated pictures detailing exactly what was a concern. Many of the details were nitpicky but, that allowed me to evaluate what I could do on my own, what I wanted the sellers to fix, and what I could ignore. With this report I know I will not get any surprises when we move in. I am very satisfied.

Andrew's customer service, knowledge, communication, and services provided were all fantastic. The inspection was easy to understand and he talked with us about the issues he found and concerns we had. His experience inspecting homes and detailed knowledge of the area meant that he knew common problems to look for and was able to evaluate if they had been properly addressed or were still a concern. We definitely recommend him to anyone needing an inspector and we plan to use him again in the future!

I contacted Austin Boleman following recommendations from a friend and reading reviews on Angie's List. Austin was prompt and professional. He inspected an older home I was considering buying. He had both work and personal experience with older homes which was very valuable during this inspection. Austin was VERY thorough and took over 2 hours with the house, going from top to bottom and an additional 45 minutes or more talking with me about the findings. I greatly appreciated his time and expertise about the home and its 'needs'. I felt like he provided a very thorough and balanced overview of the findings which allowed me to weigh the pros and cons of purchasing. I found the process easy, staff professional, and the service prompt and thorough.

Numerous mistakes; nitpicking comments; I would not hire this company. They seem to deliberately find fault in order to justify their relatively high price.

We were disappointment that he spent a lot of time talking. It was one price on Angie's List but when he got here he quoted us 500 dollars and it was 300 dollars on Angie's list and he would not budge from that. He gave you a lot of information but I was under the impression he would take samples and it was just his educated guess. He seemed knowledgeable. We found out later that we needed to pay for the service online.

Andrew came highly recommended from two different friends. He showed up on time, spent a long time doing the inspection and then explained everything he found wrong or questionable in great detail. He also explained how lots of the mechanicals worked, which was worth the value of the inspection by itself. He clearly is very knowledgeable about a wide range of issues and gave me a high level of confidence that I knew what I needed to know to negotiate with the seller on what would be fixed prior to my purchase. He's also very personable and explained things in an easy to understand way. He was also clear on what was important to fix and what was a "nice to have done". Great guy. I trust Affordable Inspections and recommend them highly. He also did a radon test, which is priced separately.

They did a good, but not great job. The inspector was pretty thorough. He missed a few things and didn't seem to know some things an inspector should know. Our windows can be folded out to clean the outside. If they are not re insert properly, it can cause them to not open and close properly. He was not able to tell me this and I had to have a window specialist come out and tell me it was a simple fix.

I called on Saturday and arranged for inspection the following Tuesday. Tim arrived on time and spent over 3 hours giving the home a complete and thorough inspection. He was very professional and took the time to completely answer all of my questions. I received the inspection report the next day and was amazed at the level of detail provided and the thoroughness of the inspection. Tim reported all issues, big and small, He also invited me to call with any follow-up questions I may have. I asked the seller to make several repairs and provided a copy of the report to them. After reading the report they quickly agreed to make the requested repairs. I will definitely call Affordable Inspections in the future when I have a need for a home inspection.

Andrew did our inspection. He's prompt, courteous, extremely meticulous and patiently answered every question that my wife and I threw at him, with a knowledge base that was actually quite impressive; this guy really knows his stuff. He also responded quickly to the various phone messages and emails I sent him with follow-up questions, long after his job was completed. Great experience.

Austin and his guys did amazing work to mitigate the radon in our home. Our basement was a very difficult set up for radon mitigation, and many other companies quoted us well above what Austin charged. After the mitigation, our radon level went down to significantly below the allowed radon reading. We are very pleased with their work!

Affordable Home Inspections did a professional home inspection. Also a Radon Test and Pest Inspection. They were a little late in getting the pest and radon done. As time is always an issue during a real estate transaction,make sure your agent presses the need for timeliness. I was present for the home inspection and would have preferred one-on-one conversation, rather than just reading it in a report later. Overall a good job and I would use them again. But I would ask questions, so later there would be fewer surprises. I gave them high marks because they were very thorough and professional, which is after all most important.

This is the most professional, thorough and personable inspection service you can hope for! Austin always answers your phone calls and will spend the time explaining a report in as much detail as you need. He is incredibly courteous and genuine. He was very responsive in refunding a double charge on my credit card (my fault). Jon is the one who actually did my inspection and he provided a very thorough report that was easy to read and understand and included pictures of the defects in the house. This report was a major influence on my decision about purchasing this particular house and I am very thankful that I'm not getting stuck with a money pit! This is the company you want to hire for your home inspection needs. They can be trusted to do the job you need and at a reasonable price.

Took the time to explain and show me the things he found. Explained the radon test. Sent us a detailed list of what was wrong..including pictures of all that needed repair.Charts in email of the radon test results. Prompt, courteous and very dependable I would call again anytime.

The inspection was on time and professionally done. The report was comprehensive and electronically available. The invoice for services was payable by credit card over the internet. This all added up to a very satisfactory experience.

As a result of the inspection i was saved from having to spend many thousands of dollars doing structural, electrical, and drainage repairs and complete replacement of wiring, none of which was apparent before the inspection. I am very grateful that someone advised me to use Affordable Inspections and not rely on my own gut feeling. They were very thorough and professional.

From the first phone call they were very friendly and professional. They asked me specifically what I needed done, and didn't try and sell me anything else that was unnecessary. I asked about radon and he highly suggested it with an explanation as to why it's important to do in this part of the country. And a $90 cost for something that will affect the safety of my family is a tiny price to pay. I asked that I could be there to talk to the inspector and they scheduled a perfect time for him to start, so that when I got there he'd be finished. It worked out perfectly. I arrived around 4:30 and he was just finishing up. He did an extremely thorough inspection of the entire interior and exterior of the home. He showed me every issue that he could, and if it wasn't possible to see it, he explained it in detail. Most of them he even explained to me how to fix it too. He answered every question that I had. They were very professional, on time, clean, detailed and friendly. I couldn't have possibly asked for anything more. I believe their cost was right in line with most other companies. I wasn't looking for the cheapest, but I was looking for the best. I believe I got that at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good home inspection. Beware, these guys will find everything that's wrong in your home. This is a good thing, just know this going into it, especially if you've already fallen in love with your home.

The inspection went very well. Both my husband and I felt greatly relieved and reassured that the inspection was done properly and thoroughly. It was the best way we could have spent our money.
